"Yeah? Lots of stuff to do? I hear they're complicated, but I haven't had any personal experience with the process," Jordan said. He paused. "Want to go hang out in the lounge or something? Or maybe the cafeteria," he added, remembering suddenly that the lounge was in less than perfect shape for hanging out.

"Yeah, it's a bit of work. Marcus wants a," fingerquotes, "'perfect' wedding, so...I'm trying to do that for him. I mean, I wouldn't have mind it being a little simple thing, but I guess I only plan on getting married once." she rubbed the back of her neck. "It'll work out, though."
If nothing else, it'd be memorable.
"Hmm, I think I could stand to go sit in the cafeteria with a cup of coffee and some lunch by this point in time." Cass replied. "I think it'd be nice to sit and chat with you some more. We've been neighbors for like.. a year. Seems way overdue."

"It'll work out," Jordan nodded. He came out into the hall and closed the door, not locking it; until he could get the key copied, he was just leaving it open. Not like there was much in the room he was concerned about being stolen, anyway.
"Yeah, I really don't know how it's so easy to work with someone, live on the same hall, but just never manage to talk to them. Happens more than I'd have thought, really," he said.

Cass nodded. "I know. We've worked together on missions and the like a couple of times but it's like 'Hi, can't even knock on the door to actually introduce myself.'" Which was kind of sad. Jordan was pretty chill from what she could tell.
"So yeah. I guess better late than never. I expect we'll both be working together for a while longer, so might as well be friends, right?"

"I guess that's a riskier venture with some people, though," Jordan said. "Some of the weirdos around here, you know." His easy grin said he was teasing, though.
"Makes sense to me." He held out a hand for a handshake. "Friends, then."

Cass laughed. "I know, right? There's this guy named Jordan in the room next to me, and just..." she trailed off, grinning as she took his hand firmly to shake it.
"Friends." she agreed.

"Sounds like a real weirdo," Jordan said gravely. He grinned back. "Thanks."

She couldn't help but laugh at his response to her tease about him, giving his hand a firm squeeze before she let go and instead elbowed him playfully in the side.
"Now how about some lunch since we're headed that way anyways? We can swap stories or something like that."

"Sounds like an excellent plan to me," Jordan agreed. "Lunch and other people's ridiculous quirks." He tucked his hands into his pockets and strolled in the direction of the cafeteria.
