1. Follow after the woman
It wasn't an option really, for Ko'ma to choose to do anything but follow the older Shifter. Running away would only lead to her becoming lost in the jungle, where the cause of the screams might crop up next. Those ever so interesting worms had vanished into the undergrowth, and while their trails would be easy to follow, finding them in the smaller nooks and hallows would be harder.
And so she left the comfort of the shadows, chasing the somewhat familiar woman.

1. Use [strange potion] on Unknown Shifter Boy
Help her? What could the woman possibly want with Moraika? She had no useful skill to offer her, and she was a little wary of offering any assistance to a stranger she`d stumbled upon in the middle of the forest. However, an idea came to mind. If she did indeed help her, maybe she could ask her to help her out of the forest and set her on a path towards home. Just maybe this could work out to her advantage, but it did not mean she was going to let her guard down. Mora still had no idea what the other woman wanted, she might not be able to help her at all.
The sound of piercing cries made Moraika cringe in sync with the other, hopefully her friends had not met an untimely death to some predator. She had hoped they`d all made it home safely. All thoughts about her friends are tossed aside as the woman throws the vial at Mora, who catches it awkwardly by cradling her hands together to her chest. Gently, she shifts the liquid inside watching as it hits the mushroom stalk and the reaction it gets. “Looks dangerous.” Whatever was inside did not look one bit pleasant, Moraika tucked the vial in a hidden fabric pouch at her hip.
The vial is hidden just in time because the woman is running off into the forest at an accelerated speed, Moraika followed close behind on her heels. The cries had definitely come from a living person, so where they headed towards the woman’s companions? This was not looking good, especially if Mora was headed right for an ambush of some sort. This went downhill from there because as soon as they arrived on scene, there was a boy in a web and an unconscious girl on the floor. Maybe she should have just tried to get home by herself, because looking at this scene Mora wasn’t sure he was up to the task.
Then she saw it, the crystalline thing unfurling its long spidery legs to grapple the woman and sink fangs into the woman who was conscious just a few moments before. Her last words hang in the air, and Moraika stares at the two others. Who to save? What to do? And the idea hits her so fast; she’s moving before even blinking because if she stops the thing is going to come after her. Her hands slip into the hidden holds to clasp the vial and use the liquid inside on the bindings on the boy, the liquid had deteriorated the mushroom stalk, why not these right?

Round 3 Round 3 Ends: 06/06/12 10:00pm ESTResponse A/B-1. Use Item on Unknown Shifter Boy
As the acidic, bluish purple goop seeps onto the nearly invisible netting; the bindings around the Shifter Boy begin to come loose, deteriorating, just as the mushroom stalk had.
The boy slumps to the ground. It only takes a few moments for his eyes to come back into focus, his screaming to stop. It would seem that the web had been coated in the Menzuri’s nightmare-inducing poison. Now that he is no longer touching it, he seems to become cognizant once more. ”Thank you…” He breathes, before the situation around him registers more fully. The girl is still unconscious, lying helplessly. The Menzuri that had attacked Suhuba had released her from his grip, but is now standing over her, defending its prey.
The Shifter Boy leaps to his feet, running towards the bloodied, unconscious girl. He pulls another small vial from a hidden pouch, dripping it into her slightly gaping mouth. As she begins to rouse, he finds an enormous branch lying nearby. All in one quick motion, he swings the branch at the crystal creature. The Menzuri is unharmed (although likely infuriated), but the force of the branch pushes it back just far enough for the Boy to swing Suhuba over his shoulder and take off at a run. ”Come on!” He yells in your direction, the other Shifter girl already on her feet, clearly recovered.
Surprisingly, the Menzuri doesn’t seem to follow. After a short while, the boy stops running. He lays Suhuba down, feeding her a vial identical to the one that he gave the girl. Soon, she too awakens. Suhuba smiles at you. ”Glad you made it.”
A brief discussion occurs within the group. Suhuba hands the other two Shifters a number of vials, emptying her own pouch. It appears that the Shifter Boy is planning on going back to find out why the Menzuri hadn’t followed. The Shifter Girl will continue following the Illo trail, which continues underfoot, into the forest. Suhuba is heading back to her shop at the heart of Jauhar.
What do you do? [Your response denotes your character preference]
A. Follow the Shifter Boy B. Follow the Shifter Girl C. Follow Suhuba
Response A/B-4. Attempt to Attack the Crystal Creature
The Crystal Creature, an infamous Menzuri, appears to be completely unharmed by your vigorous attempts at attacking it; its crystal flesh is simply too hard to penetrate.
You do, however, successfully distract the creature from its current prey. The Menzuri drops the unconscious Suhuba and rounds on you. Suddenly, in the blink of an eye, you find yourself wound in the strong, sticky webbing spun by the crystalline insect. It sinks its fangs into your helpless flesh, and you begin to understand why the boy has been screaming this entire time; Menzuri poison is known for causing hallucinations.
The world is filled with terror, seeping your worst nightmares, and it isn’t long before you follow Suhuba into the world of unconsciousness.
Your story has ended. [You may RP the end of your story, if you’d like]
Response C-1. Follow after the woman
The woman rushes off without paying further attention to what might be hiding in the shadows, clearly more determined to find the source of the noise.
You see the entire thing, albeit from a distance. A Shifter Boy strung up in an invisible funnel web, screaming in agony and fear, although the source of his misery cannot be immediately identified. On the ground, a Shifter Girl lies unconscious, her face bloodied and bruised. Suhuba stops, taking in the situation, before running towards the Shifter Girl on the ground, the vials still in her hands.
Without warning, a seemingly harmless pile of violet crystals shifts into action, locking Suhuba within its strong clutches. She falls forward from the force of her run, unable to let out a scream before the creature digs its fangs into her exposed flesh, and she too falls unconscious. The two vials fall to the ground, rolling towards the trees.
What do you do?
1. Continue watching from the distance 2. Use a vial [Basic Healing Potion or Strange Potion] on the Shifter Boy 3. Use a vial [Basic Healing Potion or Strange Potion] on the Shifter Girl 4. use a vial [Basic Healing Potion or Strange Potion] on Suhuba 5. Attempt to Attack the Crystal Creature

B. Follow the Shifter Girl
Oh thank goodness I had noticed the web was melting before I continued to pour the contents, having originally going to pour it on the boy. With a shaky sigh of relief as the one I was rescuing dropped to the ground and finally stopped screaming, I eye the web dubiously.
I only had a limited source of knowledge about the instincts of the forest, but I had a feeling the web was the reason why the boy had been screaming before. I move away from it quickly.
But I hardly have the time to be wondering such trivial things as we needed to run. I nodded my head noticing as he ran over to the unconscious girl pouring the contents of a different vial into her mouth which revived her.
I shudder at the thought of what could of happened if I had done the same thing...with less pleasurable results.
We run, and then after some recovery time discuss. I am barely apart of this discussion as I feel that...I am very out of place. Wait what Suhuba was going back to town?
I feel my heart sore, there was a chance of going home, getting out of this nightmare forest of bugs. And yet the hope was flickering out even before I could offer my assistance to Suhuba. The shifter woman looked like she could handle herself...but...
My eyes flicker over to the recently recovered girl, swallowing as I ...really didn't want to stay here but couldn't just leave the girl on her own. What if she collapsed again? Or worse met up with another huge monster of a creature?
I offer my assistance to the girl. After all I didn't want to go back headlong after that crystal monster. I was not so curios to figure out why it didn't just chase us down to feast on our bones. I think I can handle glowing worms...as long they didn't scuttle across my feet at any rate.
I scurry after the girl, wishing we had introduced names before hurrying off.

2. Use a vial [Basic Healing Potion] on the Shifter Boy
Ko'ma flinched as she watched the older, familiar, Shifter woman crumple as the violet crystals spring to life. Idly she wondered why she chose to leave her cave, her familiarsafesolitude silent home. But she reasoned that it was for the same reason why she did anything else, if it wasn't the urge to get up and move it was because of her near insatiable curiosity.
Bending down Ko'ma scooped up one of the two vials, leave the other one there and, after a moment to muster up her courage, darted forward. She tripped and skidded on her knees a bit before scrambling up. The violet creature by then had taken notice of her but she gave it no chance to spring at her. The contents of the vial went into the boys open mouth and she paid no mind to the brief choking sounds he made as his body was forced to swallow the contents.
Admittedly Ko'ma wished she'd actually looked at the vial she'd grabbed instead of just grabbing one and assuming that the contents in both were the same. She'd done this before and had gotten scolded but as the same as before she'd chosen well.
Not to see what would happen. Hopefully it wouldn't end with her becoming lunch as she had no training what so ever with weapons, and her little knife would of no use here.

B. Follow the Shifter Girl
Moraika smirked as the bindings began dissolving, so she’d been right and thankfully she hadn’t given it as a healing potion to the girl. The boy only dropped to the ground and Mora stared at his form until he pulled himself back together and thanked her. She blinked a few times at him, as he went after the creatures. The girl on the ground, the one the spider was now guarding was probably his sister. Moraika looked at the still corpse and her expression turned grim, this was not good. Before she could even begin to formulate a plan with the boy however, he was running towards the duo and smacking the spider in the face to grab the woman from before.
When he yells, Moraika almost looks at him with her mouth slightly agape. The other girl was up on her feet as she turned to see of the other was okay, seeing no way around it Mora followed the boy into the forest once more. Running until they finally stopped to awaken the other, who smiled up at her. A glance behind them confirmed that the spider had not followed them, which seemed odd to Mora but she kept the comment to herself, no one needed to be alarmed since they’d all walked away from a nightmare.
As the trio discuss what they’ll be doing next, Moraika listens quietly. There is simply just no way she will be going back to investigate the spider, she was sticking to the girl they’d awakened. Illi were far less dangerous than that creature, and she was curious about the glowing bugs. So when the girl started on her way back to where Mora had first met the strange woman, she followed along beside her.

5. Attempt to Attack the Crystal Creature
She let out a soft hiss of surprise at the scene laid out before her, instinctively moving into a fighting stance. There was still distance between them and as she watched the woman she had followed was snatched up by a crystal beast. None were Alkidike, but she could hardly just leave them all. The Shifter boy was still screaming; a sound that called her into action. Determined not to leave them to their fate Nadhiri moved forward.
She burst onto the scene with a battle cry, attacking the Crystal Creature with a flurry of blows. Of course she was potentially outmatched, but it hardly mattered to Nadhiri. Any opponent could be taken down if you had enough heart and the will to triumph. That was what she had been taught and what she would continue to believe.

Round 4 Round 4 Ends: 06/07/12 10:00am EST (I may be a little late in setting up Round 5. We've got a big party to set up for at work in the morning. >3)
B. Follow the Shifter Girl
The girl smiles at you, but remains relatively quiet as she leads you along, following the trail of scurrying Illi. This trek is undeniably more peaceful than that former.
After a short while, the Illi begin to split. Some of the Illi begin the long trek up the trunk of a sturdy, violet tree. The others continue ahead, following a trail of thin, silvery fibers.
The Shifter Girl stops, scrutinizing both of the paths. She turns to you. "What do you think?"
What do you do?
A. Follow the Illi up the tree. B. Follow the Illi on the ground.
2. Use a vial [Basic Healing Potion] on the Shifter Boy.
The Shifter Boy chokes and sputters as the contents of the Healing Potion enter his mouth. It only takes a few seconds for him to become coherent. His screaming stops, and his eyes manage to focus on you.
However, it only takes a few more seconds for the screaming to begin again, his eyes unfocused, seeing things that are not real. He is still stuck in the Menzuri's deadly web, in contact with the poison that is so infamous for its hallucinogenic qualities.
Another crystal creature pulls itself from the side of a tree, the two of them cornering Ko'ma where she stands. There is no escape. At least, no escape with the hope of also rescuing the unfortunate Shifter trio.
Your story has ended. [You are welcome to RP out your ending if you'd like. Thank you for playing! You are also welcome to count this CYOA towards one of Ko'ma's growth requirements]
5. Attempt to Attack the Crystal Creature
The Menzuri is pushed back with the force of your blows, but seems to be perfectly uninjured... and incredibly irritated. Its hard, crystal hide is nearly impenetrable, thus its reputation as one of Jauhar's deadliest creatures.
It returns your hiss as two more crystal clumps pull themselves from the earth and join the original Menzuri, prepared to attack. There is no way to escape... at least, not with the Shifter Trio in tow.
Your story has ended. [You are welcome to RP out your ending if you'd like. Thank you for playing! You are also welcome to count this CYOA towards one of Nadhiri's growth requirements]

A. Follow the Illi up the tree.
The quiet that surrounded them now was so much different than the violence that had taken place just a few moments before. Moraika felt like she was blending right in with her surroundings, feeling at ease as she moved beside the girl wordlessly. It wasn’t until they reached the Illi once more did they stop to watch them moving in different directions. The girl gave Mora a question, and after a few moments of reflection she decides she’d rather go up the tree than follow those on the ground. “I’m climbing.” Her voice is soft, neutral and as she glances up at the tree, Mora squints lightly trying to figure out what kind of path it will take to follow the Illi. Grabbing onto the lowest branch, Moraika began her slow climb to follow the slithering worms up the tree.

B. Follow the Illi on the ground
Even as I gather that a conversation was just not going to happen. Everyone seemed to be chasing bugs or obsessed with the glowing worms on the ground. Or at least some of them were on the ground...others were now climbing a tree.
When the girl asked what I think, I have to gap at her. Why ask me? I don't know. I don't know why the bugs are going in this direction, I don't know why some would go up a tree and others continuing down a set path.
I stare intently at the tree, it..looked like a regular tree. Why they were going up there I have no idea. But a tree was a tree...and led to a dead end. Maybe the worms were tired?
"Uh...lets stay on the path. If it leads to nothing we can always back track." I suggest as I try and sound sure of myself.

Round 5: The Ending Response A. Follow the Illi up the Tree
The Shifter Girl follows your lead, up the tree, careful not to disturb the glowing, wriggling trail guiding them. Near the canopy, the Illi begin to disappear, slipping into little breaks in the bark.
The girl's forehead crinkles, but she continues climbing. As the two of you break through the top of the canopy, the entirety of Jauhar spreads out before you, the candy-colored leaves radiant in the sun. From all sides, Kipepwi begin to appear, spreading their large, jewel-colored wings as they take flight for the first time.
The Shifter's eyes light up in delight. "They were climbing up to transform into Kipepwi..." She breathes, in awe of the sight. "No one has ever seen this before..."
You have reached the end of your journey. [The Shifter Girl is yours! Please either post here or PM Suhuba with a name so that we can get her certed for you. ^^ Congratulations! You are welcome to RP the end of your journey, if you'd like.]
Response B. Follow the Illi on the ground
The Shifter Girl nods at your suggestion, offering you a small smile. She begins to lead the way after the Illi trekking along the ground. All around you, those strange, silvery fibers begin to appear in greater abundance, growing thicker and longer with every step.
Suddenly, the Illi begin to disappear, burrowing beneath damp rocks or between the roots of trees. The Girl stops, brow furrowing in concern. Out of nowhere, a group of Menzuri appear, hanging around you as if in thin air.
Those silvery fibers were spun by the crystal creatures, guiding you straight into another translucent, funnel-shaped trap.
Your story has ended. [Thank you so much for playing! You are welcome to RP out the end of your story if you'd like. As the runner-up, you are entitled to the Shifter Boy. If you As your preference was for the Girl, if you would prefer not to claim him, that is perfectly fine and we will find him a new home later on during the event. :3]
