"What. You interested?" Deryk asked. The girl definitely switched gears now that it seemed that was something in it for her. Still, he wasn't so sure.
"Basically gotta work with one of the reps. Analysis and whatnot. If one of us feels you're good for it, we'll move on to the next step if you want to move on with it. Pretty intense work. Not easy either. But you'll be helping people if you get the job. Gotta be real sure you're up for it. Takes up a lot of time. Life changing stuff," he said.
None of it was a lie. If a Candidate wasn't willing, he wouldn't push for it. And it was definitely life changing. But they'll be helping the hunters defend humanity.

"..Well...." Astra felt her stomach flutter with nervousness. it sounded very big, if it was going to change her life. But how would her life be changed? It made her unsure. And the analysis part made her feel uneasy too. Maybe it would be best to back out while she could...
But then, if she would be helping people..
"Would I be helping to stop the hunters?" She asked.

"Hunters?" Deryk repeated, furrowing his brow and shifting his weight a bit. What did he say here? He had to think fast. Should he play dumb? Lie? Stretch things out?
"Y-you mean like.. poachers? That sort of thing?" he blinked.

Wow, he didn't know about hunters? Astra had figured everyone would know about them by now. But then, that was only in Amityville. She didn't know what the situation was like in other areas, and she knew the boogeymen were doing their best to cover everything up.
"Nono, hunters!" She said again, looking wide eyed. "They're really evil humans who are trying to kill off of halloween! They have these really weird coats, and they run around with weapons that were actually halloween people!" She then looked around, appearing concerned. "You gotta be careful though, cause the boogeymen are trying to cover the hunters up. But they are out there, and they sneak up on unsuspecting halloweeners and kidnap them!"
Oh, the irony....

"SHHHHHHHH!" he urged quickly, "Keep it doooown. Talking out loud about that sort of thing gets people in trouble!"
Well, he was partially worried her talk of hunters would miraculously summon someone who'd see through his guise. Granted, hearing that sort of talk didn't really make him all too happy. He didn't kidnap. He wasn't evil. And his coat wasn't weird!
"Look. Can't say too much in the open. Never know who's listening. You know?"

Astra clasped her hands over her mouth in shock, realizing that she was speaking too loudly and that anyone could be listening. She was not in the school anymore, she was outside, in the open.
"I'm sorry..." She looked to the ground, feelers and wings drooping. It seemed as if the fairy was buying everything the hunter said with ease. "But....I..." She looked worried, unsure of what to do next. "I...don't know...I need to think about what you said...I need some time to consider."

"It's alright. And think good on it ok?" he asked while glancing around. It looked like no one had heard her rambling on at first, thankfully.
"I should.. probably keep scouting around anyway."

"Y-yeah...I'll think about it really good" The fairy responded, before taking flight and getting the hell out of there. Now that she had cooled off somewhat, she though that...maybe it would be best to return to school. Go back and pretend she had never run away from it in the first place.
And maybe..she would think more about the boils proposition
