The lycan jumped when Poke suddenly shouted at the top of her lungs rushing forward to intercept some gnomes. Quickening her step she arrived just as Poke snatched a treasure chest from the small creature's grasp. Looking at it for a moment she stared after the ghoul as she entered her room the cool humidity the first thing Mitsu noted.
Her ears seemed to twitch with each drip of water, her eyes scanning over the cave like atmosphere. She felt like she was suddenly spelunking. "Your room is certainly more cave like than mine." Mitsu commented.
Eyes turning back to all the chests on the floor Mitsu regarded them curiously. "Do you actually keep treasure in these or are they like...fancy storage totes?" She knew some dragons hoarded treasure. The lycan had never been to Jericho's room but she had heard he kept a large variety of shiny things.

"I think the school has a few rooms specially designed for some students, and I was lucky they had a room like this I could use." Poke said, as she placed the treasure chest down with the others. "I was pretty surprised too when I saw it, but I realized a lot of the things here are just props. See those stalagmites over there?" She pointed. "They've been glued onto the ceiling, and walls were made for students who...umm" She looked the other way with a cough. "Who...are a bit more resilient." Although what she really meant was 'or students who were prone to putting holes through the wall', but she wasn't going to mention that.
when asked about he chests. she looked at Mitsu pondering for a moment, then kicked at one. It bounced open, revealing a stack of dusty looking books, and even a few scrolls. She then kicked open another one, which revealed a small pile of Operal crystals, about a dozen in count. There also appeared to be a few gold coins scattered around the bottom.
"They double as both, really." She then said. "Some I will keep everyday belongings, while others will house some of my treasure. I don't like leaving them about like some dragons, it just...temps people."

"This school is certainly good about catering to their student's needs." Mitsu agreed. At least it was that way when it came to their dorms.
Looking toward the stalagmites Mitsu smiled. "Well, everything can't be authentic but I think the walls in the majority of the dorms are sturdy for those of us who can't always control their strength....if only they had put as much thought into the doors." Mitsu smiled awkwardly at that. Her door had seen some abuse since she had acquired heightened physical strength. In fact, the whole thing had been replaced...three times.
Curious, Mitsu's eyes followed Poke as she kicked open a couple of the chests. She seemed just as interested in the books as she was the crystals. In fact, she was probably more so. She really liked to read. "That's a good idea, and the chests look really neat," Mitsu commented. "It makes me think of the stories I've read about pirates and treasure hunting."

"Doors huh?" Poke said as she glanced at it, already thinking about ways she could get out of paying for it save she broke it. "I guess doors aren't as hard to replace compared to other items... I hope they don't make you pay for it" She mused out loud. She absolutely hated paying for repairs, especially out of her own pocket.
It was a surprise though when she saw Mitsu seemed more interested in the books then the rarer items. Although knowledge could be said to be worth more then treasure, as her father had told her before.
"Thankyou" She grinned at the compliment. "Though it's quite interesting you mentioned the part about pirates. I've heard stories about my..great..great..great grandmother stealing some pirate treasure. And when they tried to get it back, she sunk the ship. You could say that attacking ships is someone what of a trade mark."

"No, they aren't too bad. Mostly I've just tried to fix them but if I have to I try to replace them on my own." Mot had introduced her to scavaging the trash for things. Not full out dumpster diving but people often left fairly nice things out on the curb to be taken and since Mitsu had discovered her strength she had no trouble carrying anything home.
At the mention of pirates and ships though Mitsu looked to Poke with an wide expectant gaze like a child ready for a story. Yes, that had completely caught her interest and her tail was wagging rather excitedly at the thought of a REAL pirate story. "Really? Pirates? What kind of ships?" Apparently her mind hadn't put reality in place when Poke mentioned attacking.

When the dragoness saw Mitsu with this wide, puppy dog eyes, practically begging her for a story, she felt a little flattened. Did she REALLY want her, to tell a story? Her tail was going a mile a minute too.
"Weeeelll.." She drew out the word, using the time to piece together the vital bits of information she had been told. "The ships were large; extremely large. They would have been 10 times the size of this room. Easy" She explained. "They had wide sails, used to catch the wind and propel themselves forward. But these sails were pitch black, and each one had a skull on the front, marked by two bones. There were a dozen or so cannons, 6 on each size, they'd use them to raid other ships for their own booty. And, there was a tall mast, topped with the crows nest were the lookout would perch and scan the seven seas. If you stood ontop, anyone on the bottom would look like a ant!"
She stepped forward, letting her voice grow quiet to emphasize the next part. "And each ship was filled to the brim with blood thirsty pirates, each armed with a sickle sword, and a heart as black as coal. They'd gut you for a single gold coin. Their sole goal was to sail the seas, looking for ships to invade, and make the occupants walk the plank! They even say, that sharks would follow these ships like vultures, and these sharks were some of the biggest and fattest, because they were so well fed."
"But says nothing on the captain of these ships..."

Mitsu was immediately submerged into story time and she took in Poke's every word like an eager child. Her eyes seemed to grow wide as the dragon explained the layout of the ship in such detail easily able to picture the ship in its entirety. The explanation about the pirates warranted and even brighter expression as wide eyes stared at Poke trying to soak it all in. OoO
It was kinda like the story Mot had told her but so much more real. Mitsu could swear she could smell the salty air of the sea around them...though maybe that was just the cave layout of the room. She wasn't entirely sure. Either way she was enthralled.
"They threw people overboard to the sharks? They did that for real?" It seemed her books weren't far off. "And the captain what was he like?"

It was amazing how Mitsu was reacting to each portion of the story, and her expressions were adorable to say the least. It encouraged her to continue onwards, pulling information from the books she had read, and the stories she had been told by her parents.
"Oh yeah, they threw them over all right, but this cruelty failed in comparison to the captain." Poke said, her voice ominous. "He towered over the crew, with but one eye to watch them scamper to do his bidding. He dressed lavishly, with a royal cape held around his shoulders and a hat that befitted his rank. On his waist was tied a long, jagged sword, as a hoist which kept a pistol. And everyone would know when he was coming, when they heard the telltale sounds of a 'clunk, clunk, clunk'. It was the sound of a peg thudding on wood, as the captain had only one leg. He had lost the other when he graped with the krakken. "
"But this did not slow down the captain, In fact, it made him even more ruthless. There are legend which speak of him leading a thousand men to their deaths, as no crew member would last long on his ship."

Mitsu was completely captivated but at the same time it hadn't quite registered as truth. To her it was still very much a story even if Poke had told her otherwise at the beginning.
"That's so amazing. I bet they saw lots of battles and claimed lots of things. They probably went all over Halloween." Mitsu imagined what it would be like to sail on the sea. She wasn't sure Shun would like it with the possible fear of drowning being there but in her true form she could take care of that she was sure.
"Have you ever taken down a ship?"

"Definitely! If it was accessible by boat, then they would have explored it" Poke sighed happily, hoping one day she could pull off similar feats of adventuring, being able to lead her own crew into brave battles and finding untold treasures. Her eyes glazed over as she pretended for a few moments that she was captain Pokerus, and she was taking over a ship fillied to the brim with precious gemstones.
She was brought back to her dorm when asked about taking down ships, and she couldn't help but give a nervous cough. "I...haven't as of yet...It's generally frowned upon to take down halloween ships, while human ships...I haven't been to the human world long enough to know. I hope I might get a chance to raid a ship soon though" she added. "I have heard about the amazing field trips amityville student go on."
