Kyle Darien Mercer The Creator Once the Calculus course was over, the male finished up the remaining note point he wanted to make, before he packed his things up and left the room. By the time he had left the room, he turned to see if Adrianna had already left as well. She had, in fact, disappeared and, with a sigh, he walked on to his next classroom. He had hoped to speak with her a bit more, but... the chances of that happening were slim. And so he went to his next class, Drama.
His time spent in drama was, for the most part, the same as always. The students acted out scenes of either the teacher's or their own design. Mostly, it was the same random nonsense that the popular males made up. There were a few good, and funny, things done as well, though. Even still, the male's mind was elsewhere. Destroya... If this person, or 'she' as Adrianna was so sure about, was truly real, then... how did she come about her powers? Was she like him, in some way? He didn't know... but he figured it was best to find out.(OOC: I noticed that the story itself made it seem as if the Creator has made himself known to everyone. Does that mean that Kyle is pretty much known to be the person, or do only a select few know of his identity?)

Ⱥɗɍɪɑɳɳɑ «ɗєʂҭʀσʏα» Ƞҽʋҽɍɧɑɍʈ Adrianna finished French, speaking nearly fluently and almost teaching the class, well, if she would have the guts to get up in front of the class. She could speak and read French better than the teacher, which often aggravated the older man. She never said anything when he mispronounced a word or completely bombed a phrase. She wouldn't want him to get mad again for the hundredth time in the span of an hour. Finally, when the class was done, she was again the last one to leave after taking her time to pack.
((Skip an hour or two.))
The bell to lunch rang and the young woman made her way to the school courtyard. Sitting under one of the trees, she began to eat her sandwich as she read As You Like It by Shakespeare. The breeze blew her bangs out of her face as she ate her simple lunch and ignored the glares and stares of the other students as if she were a freak for reading and eating at the same time.╔════════════════════════════════No good deed goes unpunished no act of charity goes unresented no good deed goes unpunished that's my new creed my road of good intentions lead where such roads always lead no good deed goes unpunished.════════════════════════════════╝ (( ^_^ I'm going to be in drama II next year. Ah, the beauty of drama class, but she is not the type to go out for drama. Anywho, no, unless that's what you'd like. ))

Kyle Darien Mercer The Creator Once his class was over, the male had gone to his next two classes, both being the same as they had normally been. By the time he was finished with them, he was ready for lunch as he left his classroom. Like he would usually do, the male made his way to the courtyard, his mind set on the usual bench he claimed as his own at this time. Once he was outside, though, his gaze took notice of Adrianna in the distance, sitting under a tree. Blinking for a moment, his mind reset its destination as he turned and headed over to her.
"Sorry... We were interrupted last we spoke," he stated now that he was next to her. Taking a seat by the tree, though spacing himself from her, he then dug his hand into his own lunch bag, pulling out his sandwich. "I'm Kyle... Kyle Mercer. He didn't expect that she cared to know, but it was better than nothing. Then again, she may have wanted nothing to say...(OOC: Ok then. I'll have his identity secret, then.)

Ⱥɗɍɪɑɳɳɑ «ɗєʂҭʀσʏα» Ƞҽʋҽɍɧɑɍʈ Adrianna looked up as she heard footsteps coming towarsd her and wasn't too surprised to see Kyle, nor when he sat next to her. He'd make a good reporter... he seems to be able to sniff out those that have more information than they're willing to give away. She took a bite of her sandwich, intending to ignore him until her gave her his name. Of course, she had known his name, for they shared several classes and had even once shared the same homeroom when they were in middle and elementary school. She swallowed and said, "I know who you are. I'm Adrianna Neverhart, but I hate being called that, so call me Anna."
She leaned back against the tree as she slowly relaxed. She was used to being alone, but... she was actually finding that she enjoyed his company. "So... I have the feeling that you are still interested in my opinion on Destroya and the Creator. I highly doubt you're here for my wonderful company and listening to my influentially emotionless tone of voice."╔════════════════════════════════No good deed goes unpunished no act of charity goes unresented no good deed goes unpunished that's my new creed my road of good intentions lead where such roads always lead no good deed goes unpunished.════════════════════════════════╝

Kyle Darien Mercer The Creator "I see... Well, I wish I could say that I knew you as well as you know me, Anna," Kyle replied calmly, taking a small bite from his sandwich. Normally, he would have taken medium to large sized chunks out, but this way... More bites, more time to keep her in conversation. As far as he could recall about Adrianna, she was always silent, only issuing a single sentence here and there. To actually get her to talk... it was, to him, an achievement. Hearing her next comment, he gave a soft nod before stating, "Heh heh... Well, you've always been a curiosity, since one rarely hears you speak. But yes... despite your previous wording, you seem to know more about this second enigma, Destroya... Maybe you might know why 'she', if she really is a female, is destroying things around the city. What do you think is her ultimate goal?"
As he asked his question, Kyle's eyes glanced ahead of his location, noticing several students giving Anna a look of inferiority. It was the same as always, ever since he could remember 'knowing' her. She was mistreated by almost every student, due to periodic 'incidents' that happen around her. They were all minor... Well, maybe not all of them, but a decent amount. He... just wished that they would leave her alone for once. Avert their gaze, or at least try to learn about her...

Ⱥɗɍɪɑɳɳɑ «ɗєʂҭʀσʏα» Ƞҽʋҽɍɧɑɍʈ Adrianna looked over at him to notice that students were now staring at him as swell, most likely wondering if he'd lost his marbles to be sitting and talking with her. She inwardly shrugged it off. They could think what they would and there was little she could do about it, actually, there was nothing that she could do about it but turn the other cheek and wait for the day that they would realize that she wasn't half as bad as they made her out to be. "Well, I know that Destroya is a girl because they are too neat." She placed her half eaten sandwich in her sack and took out a cola and cracked the can open before taking a sip, choosing her words carefully. "The only thing left over is the destruction that took place. I haven't seen any video feed or have read about them leaving any messages for the public to read or to terrify the police. It's as if they are going about it while trying to bring as little attention to their face as possible, just the aftermath of what was done. Perhaps she realizes that when faces are given, then they seem just as human as the rest of us."
One student tripped as they walked past and glared at her as if she were the main cause of all of their misfortunes and she simply stared at him in her usual emotionless way, not caring what was true or what wasn't. "I personally think that the Creator may be a boy, because they aren't so neat... they leave behind plenty of evidence of their power and there was one video clip on them creating a wall, I believe. I hacked into the police files and found it." She gave him a small, devious smile, "But there was no way to determine what their true identity was. That was back when the crimes began to decrease and whatnot, for fear of the 'Creator' catching you. I, personally, think that the moment that the Creator and Destroya meet... I'm sure one will have to prove themselves mightier. But is destruction more powerful than creation? That's the real question to all of this, in my opinion."╔════════════════════════════════No good deed goes unpunished no act of charity goes unresented no good deed goes unpunished that's my new creed my road of good intentions lead where such roads always lead no good deed goes unpunished.════════════════════════════════╝

Kyle Darien Mercer The Creator As Kyle listened to Adrianna's words, he could see the assumed logic behind her consideration to these beings' genders. It was true, females tended to be neater than males in most aspects. That said, though, there could have easily been different understandings to the acts. Taking her words in, though, he thought about perhaps making it less obvious about his actions. That thought, though, was turned away as he realized how suspicious it would become if the Creator suddenly became 'neater', in her words. The part that got him, though, was her statement about the video clip. It was concerning/impressive that she could hack into the police security, but... she had seen the start of it all. Though he showed nothing from outward expression, he was shocked on the inside. Did she know? Was she just playing around until he told her? No... No, she only had the video. If he remembered, there was no action he had performed during that time that would have given any hint as to him being the Creator.
"... I... I was there, that day," he said after a moment of silence, his voice soft and somewhat pained. "Every time I think about it... it makes me glad to have someone like the Creator around. If it wasn't for... him, as you say... I would have dead for a long time now..." The words were partially a lie, due to him being the Creator. He had been responsible for stopping those thugs... Still, if he didn't have this power... If the Creator had been someone else... These words would have been true.

Ⱥɗɍɪɑɳɳɑ «ɗєʂҭʀσʏα» Ƞҽʋҽɍɧɑɍʈ Adrianna listened to his little story and when he finished, a little spurt of laughter managed to escape her lips before turning into a full laugh, as if he'd told a very good joke. "Makes you glad to know that he's chosen the path of right instead of following the wrong path, you mean? He might be following that path now, but who says that he will forever? What if he realizes that we humans are unappreciative of something until it's gone, eh? He might choose to vanish and then reappear at another time in order to make himself seem like the authentic article, a desirable object of sorts."
She then looked up at the clear blue sky and sighed, taking a breather before saying, "It always takes a true villain in order to make someone look like a real hero. I mean, if there wasn't crime, then his powers would be seen only as a threat. I wonder if that's how he feels. I mean, there's only so much that one man can do, even with such fantastic abilities that he possesses. As long as there's crime, the people won't look at him as a threat, unless he does something out of context." She reached up and caught a leaf as it fell to the ground, holding it gently in the palm of her hand before she crushed it and tilted her hand to the side to allow the pieces of leaves to fall to the ground. "And it takes a hero to make a villain be considered truly evil. I wonder if Destroya is appreciative of his help? I mean, if I were a villain, I would need someone around to give the people a sense of hope before destroying it, making it all the more dramatic. The more terrible the crime, the more that the people fear, and fear is what people eat up these days. Everyone loves the feeling of being invincible when they are afraid, when they run in hopes of fleeing whatever it is they are afraid of."
She then looked over at him and gave him a small smile, one that made her look like she was actually sixteen and not older than what she actually was, "I think I've actually enjoyed a conversation for, perhaps, the first time in my entire life."╔════════════════════════════════No good deed goes unpunished no act of charity goes unresented no good deed goes unpunished that's my new creed my road of good intentions lead where such roads always lead no good deed goes unpunished.════════════════════════════════╝

Kyle Darien Mercer The Creator There was... a strange truth in Andrianna's words. From what Kyle could tell from the sites and voices of those for the Creator, there was mixed expressions about him. On one hand, there were the people who had been wronged in some way that appreciated his help, glad that someone had the power to do things right. On the other hand, corporations and officials were concerned about the Creator, wondering when the day would come that he would attempt to take over the city in one single swoop.
Looking up at her when she stated her enjoyment of this conversation, Kyle blinked lightly at her. That was something he hadn't been expecting at all... With a soft smile of his own, he then replied, "I'm glad I was the one to make it so. ...Heh heh, perhaps we should finish eating before lunch period is over."

Ⱥɗɍɪɑɳɳɑ «ɗєʂҭʀσʏα» Ƞҽʋҽɍɧɑɍʈ Adrianna looked to the large clock hanging on the front of the school and noted that they only had a couple of minutes left. She simply shrugged, "That would be a good idea." But she didn't touch her food again and when the bell rang for the next couple of classes to begin, she stood up and brushed off her jeans before walking to her next couple of classes: honors chemistry, physics, and honors history.
[[Timeskip to after school.]]
As the final bell of the day rang, Adrianna pushed her hair behind an ear as she walked out of the school building and made her way to the same warehouse district that she had terrorized the night before. She saw that the police had blocked of the scene of the crime, but from the point that they had blocked it off, she could see fully how well she had destroyed the building and that they were still retrieving bodies from this so-called 'abandoned' warehouse. They had better start seeing the bigger picture by now...╔════════════════════════════════No good deed goes unpunished no act of charity goes unresented no good deed goes unpunished that's my new creed my road of good intentions lead where such roads always lead no good deed goes unpunished.════════════════════════════════╝

Kyle Darien Mercer The Creator The day had been long for Kyle after that conversation. With classes over, he made his way outside and, noticing Adrianna nowhere to be found, headed back home. After a bit of traveling, he stepped inside his house and immediately met his mother in the kitchen. With a silent, but warming, hug, he held her close for the time being, which she responded with the same. The truth of the matter was... his mother had the suicidal mindset. The hug was more than just a sign of affection. It was gratitude and relief that he had found her still standing every time he returned from leaving the house. After the silent hug was over, he made his way back to his room...
There, he sat his backpack down on the floor before flipping the TV on to the news channel. The particular news crew were still talking about the warehouse incident, but this time the people were on-site. Here, he watched as bodies were being pulled from the warehouse, a tragedy if ever seen. Closing his eyes, his thoughts went to the site... There wasn't much he could do for them, though. It was best to leave them be on this one. "Destroya..." he spoke silently to himself. "What is your ultimate goal with this?..."

Ⱥɗɍɪɑɳɳɑ «ɗєʂҭʀσʏα» Ƞҽʋҽɍɧɑɍʈ Adrianna smiled a little as the news crew found the message that she had left. They had finally been given permission by the police to allow the public to hear it.
The woman read the message that she had left by the lamppost, "This is addressed to the Creator, whom we pray is listening somewhere. Destroya asks to meet the Creator at the site in which he made his debut during the hour of demons and hopes that, together, they can create the debut of their rivalry."
She then turned and walked away to her house, where her parents were sitting on the couch watching a romantic comedy that held not an ounce of the young girl's interest, though her parents begged her to join them. "No, I think I'll just go up to my room and start on my homework." She said without a single bit of emotion, which her parents had gotten used to by this point in her life. They had always found her to be an odd child, but they loved her just the same, and for that... Adrianna couldn't help but be grateful. If she didn't have them to love her and actually love in return, though she would never tell or show, she would be more of a monster than she truly was at the moment. She felt no sorrow for the people that she could have avoided killing. Death grabbed people's attention and she intended to make herself as big of a threat as possible before revealing her motives.
She wondered if he knew that one in the morning was the hour of demons and if he remembered that his 'debut' had been in the alleyway between an empty convenience store and an apartment building.╔════════════════════════════════No good deed goes unpunished no act of charity goes unresented no good deed goes unpunished that's my new creed my road of good intentions lead where such roads always lead no good deed goes unpunished.════════════════════════════════╝

Kyle Darien Mercer The Creator As he continued to watch on the news, Kyle's mind paid more attention when a mysterious message was found, etched near a lamppost. Listening to what was read, his mouth almost dropped. Destroya was sincerely calling him out. This other being was wanting to meet him, for a debut of sorts... His mind was conflicted now. If he didn't go, then the Creator would seem to be a farce at best... If he did go, though, he didn't know what would await him... He didn't have much of a choice on this one, though. He had to go... As it stood, the Creator might possibly be the only one who could deal with Destroya... That said, the location. ...at the site in which he made his debut during the hour of demons... He knew all too well where that was...
Hours had passed for the male, before he was ready to move on. He had prepared himself to a slight degree... A set of clothing he had created for the use of the Creator plus a faceless mask to cover his face. It was the minimal level of preparation he could have done, but he didn't know anything about his 'rival'. Creating a clone of himself to sleep in his bed, as to not trouble his mother anymore than possible, he then left the house quietly, flipping the hood to his outfit over his head. Minutes later, he arrived at the scene, his footsteps mostly silent as he moved into the alleyway. The clock was 12:50AM at this point... Halfway into the alley, he stopped and stared. What was he to expect...

Ⱥɗɍɪɑɳɳɑ «ɗєʂҭʀσʏα» Ƞҽʋҽɍɧɑɍʈ Adrianna did her homework, just as she said she would before she climbed into her bed and set the alarm to go off at midnight, so that she could get ready to meet the Creator for the first time. She had destroyed one of the speakers in the meantime, so that it wouldn't be loud enough for her parents to hear when she woke up. The moment that the alarm went off, she destroyed the rest of the speakers and sat up and pulled her black clothing on.
She had no mask and cared not for one, for she found them constricting and they always made her nose itch, so she simply pulled the long trench coat on and pulled the hood up to cover half of her face. She then made sure that her hair was pinned back, so that they wouldn't have such an obvious giveaway if they saw it. She seemed to be the only one in the entire city with as red of hair as she. The curse of having hair that resembles true flames... She thought as she climbed out her window and down the tree to the ground below. Her feet made no sound as she made her way to their meet point and when she got there, it was fifty-five minutes past midnight.
She came in the opposite direction as the Creator and was surprised to find that he had made it there before him. "Guests that arrive early are often frowned upon by the host." She said in a dark tone of voice, reverting to her truer self, Destroya. It wasn't as if her voice changed much, only darker and more sinister. "Alas, I am pleased to see that you have come without hiding behind the police or any allies that you may have."╔════════════════════════════════No good deed goes unpunished no act of charity goes unresented no good deed goes unpunished that's my new creed my road of good intentions lead where such roads always lead no good deed goes unpunished.════════════════════════════════╝

Kyle Darien Mercer The Creator As the minutes passed on, Kyle felt as if time had slowed down all around him, each second taking forever to tick onward. For five minutes, though it felt like hours, he stood there in silence until... she came. It wasn't obvious at first, but the closer he looked at her movement made him more believing to the fact that she was a female. Looking upon the form of Destroya through the holes in his mask, he listened to the words she provided.
"Your message didn't state whether or not I should have brought backup," he stated with a more distinguished tone than his usual. He wasn't putting up a brave front, persay, but he didn't want her knowing him personally by his voice. "but... I have no desire to have pedestrians or others get in the way. You issued the challenge, and I am here for it..."
