You barley notice the looming shadow overhead due to the non existence of the sun for reasons one could not fathom.
You look up to find a gigantic box fixing to drop on your head.
You found Medical supplies!

"Bitterness is a Cancer, It eats Upon the host..."

Sessou had only been sitting there a few moments before he suddenly heard a rustling above him. As the sound reached his ears he quickly pulled out a Kunai and looked up;.... only to see a metal suitcase come dropping down on top of him. "Ohhh fu-" That was all he Managed to get off before he dropped the Kunai in his hand in order to catch the case (And not get pegged in the face by a flying chunk of steel) The force of the catch was enough to Send him skidding back down the hill on his back once again landing in the coffin. Sessou's only response being a silent twitch of the eye.

"This better... be ******** worth it" He said looking up into the air randomly. Mainly directing that to Senri, after all she was most likely watching them all somehow through her sensory ability's.

As he climbed back up out of the Crater, the boy opened the case in order to look inside; There were a few flu mask's. Medical take; Antiseptics, basically the things you would find if you were allowed to ransack the ER, as well as a lighter. "Alright this is...... useful.., I guess" He muttered to himself before closing the case back up and slipping the strap over his shoulder; all in all the case was about the size of briefcase.

With that Sessouresu started to walk around. Looking for anything and everything that could come in handy; Turning his Sharingan on every once in a while for a few seconds in order to see if he could see anyone Else's chakra in the area. This Test was for survival; and if only two people could pass, that means the winners were the last two standing. In other words.... the more people you take out of the exam the better your odd's were.

"Bitterness is a Cancer, It eats Upon the host..."

Sessou continued walking onwards for a good amount of time without ever seeing anyone; It was to the point that at one point he actually thought that the others had never gotten out of there coffin's. There was no sign's of life at all in this forest so far at least. It seemed that way at least until he saw a small fire... it appeared to be a campfire off in the distance, whoever it was who had started it was either very sure of themselves or very..... very dumb. Drawing attention to yourselves in an exam were the point was survival wasn't a very bright Idea so unless this fire was keeping them from freezing to Death it was a mistake...

Sessou planned on going forward to see the moron who had started this fire but he was interrupted by a violent cough; which then showed him that he had coughed up from rather thick black sludge; and it felt as though he had gargled with Broken glass and Bleach. So before any interaction with the poor soul who was getting cozy with the fire over there, there were a few things that he needed to do first.

Crouching down Sessou took the Metal case off from his shoulder and popped it open; taking a small bottle of painkillers out and putting two into his mouth; while the bottle said take 4 or more per dosage, he would rather get a little relief and save more for when he needed it.

So with that The boy closed the case back up and slipped it over his shoulder, cracked his neck slightly; and started towards the small fire in the distance.

After taking a few moments to steel himself he sat up and looked around himself. Now that he could see he had to figure out what was going on. And as soon as he did he regretted it. The plant life was either non existent or spectral in nature, neither of which he liked very much. There was no sun so telling one direction from the next was next to impossible. On the other hand he was glad to find out he could see no one within sight of him and besides a tiny dent in the dirt where he had crawled out it would be hard to tell if he made it at all.

He looked around for a place to set up a base of operations. A foot hold in the scary forest. Luckily for him he found just what he needed... a big rock. Taking it he rolled it over the dent where his coffin was. Then with a little bit of effort dug out the area beneath the rock so he could access the coffin again. A few precise strikes with his sword later he collapsed the top of the coffin and had a little space beneath it just large enough to crawl around in.

Then taking his sword he strapped it to his left side. There was a small... uh... shrub... ghost... whatever, Covering the entrance so it would be hard to find by others. Now he had to figure out what to do next.

Sharingan, One Tomoe: Inactive

One of the most startling things here was the utter lack of most sensations, yet in an odd contrast some of them where in a stark hyper drive with a muted film veiling them. He inhaled, the sound sort of like a sucking chest wound. His migraine had become that of a dull throb but he had yet to receive any relief, and it seemed quite intent on continuing. Occasionally as he passed the flora and fauna he would pass his hand out over them as to touch them; however as he did this he merely passed through them.

Anger darkened his thoughts, as serene as he found this setting to be truly; the thought of everything here that he could not touch only reminded him of his failures. The power he was oh so close to yet forever out of his reach, or so it seemed. He activated his Sharingan briefly and the migraine flared back with a passionate vengeance matched only by the intensity of one-thousand suns. Snarling out loud and touching his now clenched shut with his gloved hands. The cold of the leather was soothing, and the purpose of torturing himself was worth it only to the Stranger himself.

He needed to find her.. why? Oh because it pleased him to do so, he refused to die away from her; if anything he owed her the pleasure of killing him and watching the light fade from his eyes. Just as he did her in that wonderful laboratory of hers. It was strange even to him his obsession with her, yet he never questioned it in her presence.
"Perhaps it is something akin to Karasu and the Lady?"

He quickly shook himself, which he regretted because the nausea that was under control now came back as his stomach did back-flips to his brain's internal mosh pit with his skull. He quickly heaved, lifted his mask in time and leaned forward to hurl. The Stranger never bothered to look at his regurgitation, he could taste it, beneath the bile and the remnants of food it was there.

Blood.
He was slowly but surely dying. There was the faintest notion of a thought where he wondered if the others suffered as he did, if his constitution was worse or better? For the moment he let those wandering feelings slide, he was starting to feel the beginning twinges of pain, who know how long he had been walking. The passage of time was in of itself, none existent to perception. Correcting his course to what he thought was more concentrated source of her chakra he trudged on. He was careful to keep his ears sharp, they were likely to keep him more alert here than his eyes were anyway.

There was a slight wind that cooled the sweat on his face, realizing his mask was off he readjusted it so he was once again hidden in plain sight. Onward he stalked and skulked, searching for the den.. the rock.. or tree in which under she lay. His long sleeve over shirt and pants kept him marginally warm, minus the gaping maw in his back where Serene tried to make like the French revolution and have him play the part of King Louie. Returning his focus to the morbid land of intrigue and forgotten shadow in front of him, he smiled a half crooked and deranged looking thing if his face was perceptible.

"What a lovely place to meet death, maybe we will have tea."

Umbra Uchiha

Umbra stood on the cliff that looked down at the ghostly world that was around her, she was gently stroking Sylne under her chin while she rested around her neck. So, some of the contestants were already emerging from their coffins and venturing into the world. She remained stoic, though in all honestly this was the deepest feeling of inner peace that she had ever experienced, it was strange that she was feeling at home here in a place that was notorious for being a haunted place. Sylne would probably have picked up on this by now, her shoulders were more relaxed and even the harshness of her face had softened while she was here. Umbra’s face was streaked with dirt, a mute testament to all the work she had done for Senri, though… not all of what she had done was done for the twisted girl. Umbra had some… fun… of her own while she waited for the group to wake up and get out of their coffins. She actually got a lot done in a relatively short period of time thanks to Karoshi, the pair of them actually made some light work of the situation, having nothing more to do than wander around Umbra decided to add some dangers to the already hazardous environment.

It was better than sitting on her thumb and producing torque.

Umbra hand the dirt encrusted shovel on her shoulder, her head tilted upwards so that she was looking down at those few who merged before looking over her shoulder at the box that once contained the provisions but now had been tampered with, in addition to that, the key that was on the box was around the neck of one of Senri’s beasties that she chained to a cavern not too long ago, Senri gave her the permission of course, and to add more grievous insult to injury, if the key was not used the paper bombs that she planted inside would trigger and the contestants would have even more to worry about. Not only would the contents be destroyed but those standing too close would get caught in the blast, and those not far off would likely be showered in debris which would possibly result in injury. Of course, Umbra took a generous share of the food and fresh water for herself and her traveling companion, she was no fool and she knew that the water and any food here would likely be nigh inedible. Be prepared, that was what she was trying to live by, she had no idea if she would be bumping into Karoshi or not during her campaign of terror and trolling, or if she would be going solo with this (serpent companions excluded from said statement of course). She turned to leave, running her hand over the gnarled bark of a tree that held warmth and pulsed slightly as though there was a heartbeat and it was made of flesh. This place seemed rather familiar to her for some reason, she was actually feeling somewhat nostalgic around here, though she had never been in a place like this before. Maybe in her previous life she was here for a while, or maybe her soul came here on vacation before or after crossing the river Styx.

Well, such things didn’t matter, she had caught her breath and decided that it was time to go to work again, she didn’t know when she was going to be called by Senri to run an errand for her or had another task to do. She lowered her hand, pulling away her finger from under Sylne’s chin where she turned around and started to walk towards her next destination. The darkness brought her into its tender embrace before her body utterly disappeared from mortal eyes.

"Let no evil deed go unrewarded."

After walking for minutes, or hours? Perhaps even days? He really was not certain, all he knew is the head ache had not cease or refrained from the relentless onslaught directed toward his brain. He was certain he must have been a Roman in a past life as the Visigoths were giving him what for. Still on he marched, with no other purpose but finding Hebi. As much as he enjoyed these games, and murdering people; she was trying to force his hand at murder.

"Tsk tsk, now now poppet, this simply will not due. Eye choose who lives and who dies, and more importantly when if by my hand at all."

He was walking along a particularly wooded area, or at least that was what it appeared to be. It was so difficult to tell with the strange phosphorescent glow of the foliage, the dull, fog covered pitch of the sky as well as the looming murk and dank of the dark that permeated the very being of this place. In truth it was quite nice. However, the Stranger's mood was predisposed to this place to to the effects of his collar.

"If she really wanted me on a damned collared leash, all she had to do was ask. After all manners get you, kauph manners will Ka-kauph er-hem, excuse me. Manners wi--KOUHUU,KOUHHD-HAAK!!"

In his attempts to alleviate his incessant hacks, he had titled his mask so that his mouth was bare as he spat up thick blood. His coughs were meaty sounding and wet, much like someone with a bronchial infection and the mucus was being stripped from his esophagus, only this wasn't mucus. He growled dangerously, the way great cats do when they are sick and backed into a corner as he wiped the excess blood on his mouth on the back of his gloved hand.

His body trembled visibly as the respiratory system finished it's fit over the invasiveness of the disease created by the gorgon located somewhere on this island. In that moment as his joints ached and his skin felt stretched thinly over his frame he had a strange thought. Just what would he do if he found her? At this point he was much like a dog chasing a car, never really sure what to do with himself if he ever caught one; yet he persisted despite himself, quite literally this time.

Standing a little straighter, with no more vigor than he had a moment ago, perhaps a little less, he skulked forward at a daunting pace. Much like a zombie from the old 1950's movies, a slow an almost spasmodic gait yet he he lost no speed as he trudged on. Fighting the waves of nausea no permeating his entire being, he had a thought to wonder if Haruki would have died here. Just laid down and given up, it was in that moment he realized he called Karasu by his name, even if only in forethought. Shaking his head physically from side to side minutely, he continued on.
"Sweet Jeebuz, this s**t is starting to get to me..."

Sharingan, One Tomoe: Inactive

Suddenly the dark world came into view, the Stranger's eyes were wide and dilated. He had awoken, or more accurately he had fallen asleep. It could have been a moment or several minutes, he knew it was no longer because he was leaning against a tree with on arm propping himself up; the blood flow had not slowed enough to cause the limb the discomfort of pins and needles.

Stepping back from the tree a moment he rolled his shoulder in the socket. The ball joint ached as if he had done nothing but one handed pull ups, the majority of the sensation he was sure to blame on the interesting side effects of the poisoning. He had begun to categorize his symptoms as they came about. So far he had experienced large and numerous headaches, more akin to migraines minus the absolutely debilitating effects. Then there was the nausea, the urge to expel his stomach contents, the blood in various fluids and now joint and muscle aches.

Shuddering and lumbering up in slight back arch, he cracked several vertebrae into place with a resounding, snap, crackle, pop! Grunting with irritation and slight pains, he looked around risked activating his Sharingan again. It was on for a moment, enough for him to look around. It caused his eyes to hurt, and gave him more frustration than help. His goal was everywhere and nowhere; the chakra was extensive and vast and similarly it was also innocuous and misleading.

He cared little about the event or even the end game, the Stranger was merely a creature of simple wants and needs. At this particular moment he wished to speak with Hebi, why or what about was irrelevant and had little to no thought put into it. Sharingan off once again he began to walk, sure that he had spent more than a twenty four period by now, he decided to count and keep track. The direction was different than the one previous, however only minutely, he was still pretty much walking in a straight line. One way or another he was bound to bump into someone or something.

After a while of walking without any aid, sustenance of any kind he had to take a moment to breathe. He did a slow spin, taking in his void environment. The wind was shallow, the area completely devoid of life as far as he could perceive; at least now anyway, maybe he could improve his techniques later. "Perhaps she will even offer me aid after this... or before. If I die it is really no big loss to her anyway."

As he was looking around, out of the corner of his peripheral vision he saw it. Darting behind the trees, damn it was fast. Not overly tall, all in shadow but as soon as he went to look at the thing fully, it had vanished. He blinked again straining his eyes, he dare not risk his Sharingan for the pain would be nothing short of intolerable for the moment; at least until he found a means to sate the agony. He thoughts were addled with fever and rash from exhaustion.

Running in the direction of the disturbance, the Stranger rounded the large tree to find nothing. Not even a whisper of life, save for his diminishing addition to that count. Alone in the twilight glow of the plants, he let his shoulder slump into the tree carefully avoiding contact to the device and anything. He reached up with his off hand and rubbed at his eyes and nose bridge through the mask's eyelets.

Not only had the headache worsened in the short burst of energy, he was also winded. From a paltry distant to a ninja, especially a youthful one. He needed to get this under control quickly. But for the moment he would rest.

Reaver428
Uchiha Koto

As Koto was brutalizing his way out of the coffin, a thick, gelatinous substance dripped heavily onto his face through the dirt. It had missed his eyes, landing more on the left side of his face, middle of the bridge of his nose and halfway on the left cheek. It didn’t burn, but the rancid smell of it was more than enough to make his eyes water and if he had a rather weak stomach he would likely show the world what he had for breakfast that morning. It would be very easy to wipe off, doing so, the substance would seep into the clothing and spread the nasty-a** smell around a little more but would otherwise do nothing.

Sadly, you don’t think this smell is going to come off with only one bath…

When looking around to see what the source of this thick, gooey substance is, you notice a tree where your head was pointing, it was a fairly large, beautiful tree that gave off an eerie turquoise, ghostly glow. The bark is a gnarled and twisted to resemble human faces contorted in grotesque, mocking visages. This tree bares fruit; it is a thick, red and meaty much like a pear (if it was apple red). Strange barbed vines have started to grow up towards the fruits as if they seek them out. It is also worth noting that there seems to be deep scratch marks on the tree’s trunk and some very faint glints of sun bleached bones poking out from under the twisted barbed vines.

DragnGuy7
Takeo Uchiha

As Takeo pulled himself out of the ground he would immediately take note that he was buried in the broken, decayed remained of what appeared to be a settlement, the wood here is far too rotted away to really make anything out of and the roofs have all but been worn away do to the elements and the general lack of upkeep. A mild fog has rolled in to begin to strangle what visibility there had been. It wasn’t impossible to see where he was going but he would need to be care. It seems this area was sitting more or less on swamp land. The area was thick with bog moss and thick mud. Takeo was put in a fairly dry place so that his coffin wouldn’t become water logged. At least someone was thinking about his well-being… sort of. Takeo would have no problems pulling himself out of the dirt, but his bearings would be marred by the fog that was enveloping the area. The houses themselves had an eerie glow to them, though upon close inspection that would be due to the fungus that gave off the light more to any sort of supernatural occurrence. The spores likely just took advantage of the rotting wood to make their home, if it was something that spooked you, you would have a good laugh at yourself for letting your imagination run wild with you.

What isn’t your imagination is the sounds of a small child sobbing somewhere in one of the buildings. It’s too young to tell if it’s a boy or a girl, but the sounds of pure hopeless despair are heartbreaking enough without the sounds of the light scratching that is underneath all the sniffling weeps. Is there someone close by that is trying to get out of their coffin? It sounds like it was coming from inside one of the houses, maybe someone is trapped inside? It would be impossible to tell without investigating.

Norainu Zaiten
Sessouresu

As Sessouresu walked closer towards the campfire the light that was softly emanating from the front of the collar started to flicker for a moment, if he stopped moving the flickering stopped before the movement of his steps began to cause the light of the substance to flicker once more before suddenly ceased to glow any further. As he moved he could hear the liquid sloshing around as he moved. With the same throbbing pain of the needles stuck in his neck there seemed to be nothing different. What would likely grab his attention though was the cloaked individual sitting at the campfire, not moving, not making a sound. The only thing that he would be able to hear was the sounds of the popping fire and the soft, ghostly whispers that were dancing through the trees. It was hard to tell the gender of the person at the campfire at first, they were wrapped in a blanket in a way that it looked like they were in a cloak, the blanket was pulled up to cover their head, making it impossible to see their face. The gloomy murk was temporarily pushed away and the campfire seemed so warm and inviting, one could just… sit there and warm themselves from this miserable, cold existence. The flames danced in what could be described as a provocative manner, as if beckoning and inviting the bitter young ninja to come and sit, even just for a little while. Surely one as strong as him could pull up a stump with this stranger before he killed him and moved on? Even the cold hearted needed to have the chill removed from their bones for a moment or two…

Getting closer to the figure, who’s back was turned to Sessouresu, he could come to the conclusion that the person sitting at the fire was probably male judging by the broadness of his frame. He sat hunched over with the blanket tightly clenched around him. He didn’t move a muscle, as though he was waiting for someone or something. The cloaked figure didn’t move the closer that Sessouresu got, he just stayed still as death. He was probably a Jounin or something that was waiting there for whatever reason. Maybe he could get some more supplies there or perhaps he was just there to make sure that nobody died in this exam if it could be helped. Senri may not care about those under her charge but that wouldn’t stop those who did care to make sure that potentials didn’t bite the big one because of random misfortune or a rash of unluck.

He was leaning against one of three that had a true substance, unlike the ghostly shrubs surrounding him. The ground was cold, the tree had been slowly stealing his precious body heat despite his clothing. It had been a days since he woke up in the coffin at least by his account, however even that was at best sketchy. He had sat in a feverish state for some time and decided that despite his weariness, he needed to press on.

He got up to his feet, however faltered to his knees. Panting, pained, he thought briefly about staying right where he was... wait. No.
"No. NO. NO!!" One of his hands clutched at the earth beneath him, clawing jagged furrows into the ground. His remaining hand gripped on his chest above his heart, growling angrily to the point it sounded like an animal gurgling on the blood of another.

"No..I .. I will.. not here... I... w-will... Surviiivee.."

He started with the toes of his boots. Digging into the ground beneath him, rolling on to the balls of his feet. Clenching his calves and then his thighs despite the burning his body he rose. His hand left the ground and he finally was standing upright, slightly off kilter but horizontal. As he looked around, there it was again. The tiny figure, quickly walking away. Exhausted but curious the Stranger trudged on to find out who or what it was.

Traveling in the same direction he stalked this child. At least that was the only thing that came to mind, few other were so short, deft and silent. However the "child" in question never got out of visual range, and despite the Stranger's speed no matter how swiftly he traversed or if he dawdled the distance was never closed. In fact it had started to become quite frustrating, but it gave him something to think about other than the ever increasing pain. The worst was the headaches, he could deal with the chest pains, the cough and the fever that worsened the rate of occurrence of the coughs; his head was by far the worst.

He had started to become rather accustomed to the taste of blood, and the rancid after taste of bile and disease was ever present. His sense of smell would flare intermittently of the smell of rot, it took him a few hours to register the smell was emanating from his breath. Thus, he was the one dying. There was no question if he had been trying to hide anything with macho bravado akin to the male half of every species before, there was nothing but certainty now of his sickness.

Interestingly enough he felt no starvation of chakra, so it seemed that this disease only targeted the body specifically. As he pondered these thoughts, his eyes were ever present on the figure in front of him, however he almost fell backwards when he noticed the figure had stopped. It was looking over it's shoulder when a sound pierced the quiet hollow of the void. A light laughter, one filled with venom and spite for the weak; an all to familiar laugh.

"Heb-- Hey! Is that you? Wait a minute stop, let me talk to you. It is boring just annoying myself you, at least give me the chance to annoy you!"

However, as soon as he called out to her she turned back and ran. The Stranger tried to pick up his pace to a fast walk, however after a moderate distance he slowed down considerably. Looking much like that jostling zombie once again, alive but barely. In truth there was still a considerable amount of energy and life left in him; but his baser survival instincts had taken over. They would store the necessary energy, and reduce the energy output so that when he really needed it; he could utilize it. So far now he was walking slower than a crawl towards her...

He took a few moments to look around his environment once again. Not much had changed, the tree were still dark and ominous. The ambient glow still tried and failed to permeate the dark, at best it accentuated the features; bringing out the ugliest visages of the dark. Even now the stranger did not like the dark, it was neither comforting nor was it frightening. Merely an annoyance, a monkey on his back that he could not be rid of at his choosing or convenience. So for now he was stuck with, and irritated all the more.

The headache had lessened slightly, it only felt like an axe murder was using his head as the stump to place the logs he was splitting; versus having a trip-hammer beating metal senselessly inside his brain. The nausea thankfully hadn't lessened nor had it worsened, although there was little in the ways of food or drink to really cause his olfactory glands distress. Hydration was well on its way to setting in, he had not found anything to eat or drink. Scanning the trees, the shrubs; there were not even insects on this plane of existence. He needed to find or do something soon or he would really be in trouble.

That was when he saw the figure again. As always, it was cloaked and clad so that features portraying gender or age were but a mystery for imagination to ponder. It was much closer now, well within spitting distance; it was almost dainty, the frame and height were both small and slender. He froze in his position, becoming much like the hellish trees surrounding them; dark, dangerous, and devoid of life. Occasionally an ominous wind would come and tousle the hair of his mask, other than that there was not movement.

No one was breathing, and if he wasn't positive it wasn't so, the Stranger would swear his heart stopped beating. Then, the figure moved, a slender white hand came out of the robes. The nails were painted and adorned meticulously like someone of importance or someone who took a great deal of care in her outward appearance. Slowly drifting up towards the hood the hand gave no hint as to who it belonged to, that is until she grabbed her hood and slowly lifted it until it drew back and slipped down her face.

The Stranger's eyes widened behind his mask; he watched her carefully, and quite considerably. The tension in his chest started to ease, yet there was something off? Almost something in the air, but he could not fathom what it was. For now all he cared about was that she was here, he could consort with her to get a better grasp of this.. well this mess. Senri stood in front of the Stranger silent as death, however she had a faint quirky type of smile. A mischievous on that looked more at home on his face than hers.

She spoke a single word but there was no sound. Like someone had hit the mute button on the television. He looked at her with a look of confusion, he could not fathom what game she was playing but something was off. All she did in turn was close her eyes and continue to mouth the same word over and over.

"Hebi, I don't unders- okay this is no longer amusing. I am the one annoys everyone else.. Fine let's See what you have to say then!"

The moment he activated activate his Sharingan, chaos shook his perception of reality. Senri's eye flooded open and flicker light like strobe lights at a dance club were emitting with blinding intensity from her eyes and mouth. The pain was immediate while simultaneously one of his neural synopses misfired. His hands flew to his eyes as he screamed in pain knocking his mask off, falling to his knee as his body convulsed forward. His elbows slammed down hard into the earth, while tried his best to keep his neck away from everything else. Body convulsing, the rapid movement affecting his nausea like a moon does the tides, he vomited everywhere.

Unable to just collapse, unable to truly rest.. this was the test. This was true survival. He lay there for a moment weeping just from the pain and the sheer exhaustion. The smell of bile intermixed with blood flooded the environment, if there were any predators he would truly have reason to worry. Though he knew better, he was truly alone. Senri despised Karasu's proximity to the Lady, and she wanted himself as far away from her as possible. Placing him alone on an island devoid of life was more than torture, it was her success in killing two birds with a single stone.

He felt around the ground until he clasped his mask. Grabbing it, he pulled it towards himself missing his expulsion barely. As he hold it to his chest while various fluids of his dried about his face he thought about the word that was almost literally burned into his vision before she vanished into the wind.

Creature.
