Honestly, Shun was a little wary at the term 'field trip' used with this. But what caught his attention was that the Lost clan was involved with it. And so he showed up, first noticing the large pyre at the center of the room. Medea was here as well, which had him have a moment of recall. This reminded him of the class at Death island so far.

It didn't just end there either as the priestess brought up trance. His brow furrowed, remember the last trance session he had been through. But, this delved into the very history of the school. Interesting. The Reaper had to wonder just what there was to see. There wasn't much regarding the past of this place that he really knew. This could potentially be.. frivolous or there might actually be something interesting to be learned here. Hopefully it would be the latter. Furrowing his brow at the thought, he just shook his head before taking a seat upon the ground, making himself comfortable.

He wasn't sure what to expect from this.

Letting out a breath, he looked around at the others who were in the area. There were quite a few students attending this.

Diverting his attention from the others, he just let himself slip away into the past.

----

After he heard about this, Jericho took a long time to decide if he was going to show up. Field trips were... generally speaking, dangerous. Aside from that, there were usually a lot of people that were in one area. He wasn't sure if he should risk it.

Though, he heard that this one should actually be.. fairly safe. And so, he decided to check it out, keeping as low of a profile as possible. He seated himself in the back, away from the bulk of the group of students congregated, then relaxed when he needed to.

The voices were speaking to him, warning that this was a poor decision.

He ignored them for now.

She watched silently from the back of the room as she always did, observing intently, cautiously, keeping a suitable distance away. Why still did she find herself caught in the fray, the whirlwind of disaster, she had only herself to blame. Curiosity killed the cat. She had died one time too many to know that it rang true. Yet, she was there once more, to satiate that desire to know....

At a loss of direction as the days flew by since that field trip, she needed to find something to look towards again. Something to drag her out of the dizzying conflict that had clouded her. To find new purpose, or perhaps, one that will be renewed.

A look back into the past might do just that...

Petro was there, somehow. He wasn't entirely certain when and how his feet brought him here but they did. This was not about his honor or his Clan's honor. This was about his future and quite possibly the entirety of Halloween's but the tikbalang didn't know the latter. He didn't want to run away, this time. Whatever fate lay in wait for him after he went through the Trance, Tro would have to deal with it.

--------------

Unlike Tess' opinion of the Conquest Clan, the Death Clan had more of the undead ghoul's respect. While she was wary of any and every instance of a field trip, the knowledge that she could be missing on something vital sat even worse with her. And so she flew there, and let herself go into the Trance.

Christof was not entirely sure what he was doing there. He should be working, studying, researching...

... or at the very least, obsessively tending to Barth's room's cleanliness and equally obsessively making sure his every whim was filled.

This was a sort of research, though, wasn't it? To know more. To fill in some questions possibly. To maybe add new questions to the growing heap. Any clues would help.

And so he sat, quiet as ever, looming in the back of the room watching the Clan leader intently. He listened. He watched. He closed his eyes. He drifted...

Mitsu wasn't certain she really wanted to participate considering what others had experienced through trance and what she herself had seen. The opportunity to learn something about their own school was, however, intriguing and Mitsu found herself among the many students present waiting for their 'field trip' to begin.

As Medea explained about what was going to happen Mitsu quickly sought out a particular reaper, smiling at Shun as she came to sit beside him before her focus turned back to the giant pyre. At least the trance wouldn't catch her off guard this time. Before she had been uncertain what was going on, this time she hoped knowing would ease herself into the event.

---

Titus was rather unfamiliar with the horseman in general, all except Invictus. That particular pony he had met frequently while running the course in the forest and even running the second course he had set up for them. Outside of that he had no idea who this Death chick was, though he had to say she was kind cute in an odd way.

The thought of trance was rather interesting which had compelled the demon to join the masses of students gathered. Normally he would opt out of such an event but this promised to be more than just a hokum sit around a camp fire and chant random phrases kind of event. The thought of peeking into the past was rather exciting, though he wouldn't tell a soul about how he felt about it. No he would keep that to himself.

Quietly the demon entered the room where everyone was seated and made sure to keep himself in the back. No need to attract attention. From there he listened his white eyes focused on the pyre as the Priestess explained what they were going to see catching sight of the charm in her hands before it glowed a bright white.

Astra was feeling very apprehensive about the whole thing. Another field trip? She was sure they were trying to kill off there whole school at this point, or at least mentally scar them to the point of no recovery. But then, they would be learning about the school's own past. It was....something she didn't want to miss out on, especially if it would help her learn more about Amityville as a hole

She quickly found a spot to sit down, listening to what Madea had to say as the pyre started and the trinket flashed bright.

---

Poke on the other hand, had ventured into the auditorium and was surprised to see Medea, and that she was leading them on a field trip which would center on the schools past. It would be a good opportunity to learn more about amityville, and regardless of the crap she had went through before, she was still happy to jump on in on the latest school's shenanigans.

But as she found a spot in the back, she felt very odd, considering that this time she was a actual student and not some tourist just looking for thrills.

Honestly, he'd been debating with himself since he heard about this "field trip." Roch was in the firm mind that "Field Trip" was just another way of saying "Another chance to die." Just shorter and easier to put on posters. But the punk boil had been dissipated so many times that it wasn't much of a deterrent. Of course, when she started talking about trances his mind went straight back to the death trial--

And he almost left. In fact he was debating on it as the pyre lit and the pendant blinked--and then he didn't have a choice at all. He was sucked into the memories of someone he'd never met. But seemed oddly familiar.

Trance?

Mot eyed the Horsemen carefully from where he stood, his eyes shifting to the Pyre any time it made a noise. He didn't feel comfortable here. Large gatherings were somewhat of a bad omen lately.

Zar since the field trip to the horseman isles had been significantly more crazy than he had been prior. At least insofar as crazy applied to the already neurotic incubus. His father had cut off his supply of paperwork as punishment for the trials and since then his contentment merely to observe and record the things that bothered him was dwindling. His recent run in with a hunter in the haunted house had left him with more of an ego than before as well.

The result of this mishmash of ego stroking and paranoia meant that as he heard the horsemen were once again up to something, he made it his business to show up and see exactly what it was. He frowned to himself as he eyed the pyre, folding his still mending paper wings just a bit tighter against his back.

He found a place to sit, wrapping his tail around him as he glared at the fire sceptically, what a waste of time this was, entertaining cultural nonsense that didn't matter for anything, it was probably a sham, just another trick. He tried not to think about the trials, that had been a clever trick too nothing more. He would not be fooled again.

The smell of the incense was hard to ignore, cloying, heavy. He closed his eyes, just to rest them for a moment ... and drifted off.

Alexander had pretty much slipped into the room just as Arel was pushing his way out, giving the short secretary a glare to the back of the head as he recalled the detention that he had suffered through at the whims of the frost demon. Shaking his head slightly, and wondering what had gotten Arel moving out of the room so quickly, he quietly shuffled in, trying to be as unobtrusive as possible and sliding himself into the nearest seat before anybody could call him out on being late.

It seemed that he hadn't really missed much, as the head priestess of the lost clans was just beginning to explain what it was they would be doing. His attention, however, was immediately diverted towards the burning pyre, and he cringed inwardly. Stupid fire, but at least it was all the way over there and he was sitting here, at the back of the room. That made it more tolerable.

He tried not to let it bother him too much as he listened to her lecture on trance, focusing again on her words. An uneasy feeling came over him as her explanation led him to believe that this was the same thing that had been used for the death trials, which had been an absolute nightmare from beginning to end, and not one that the zomboil wanted to have to relive anytime soon. A glance around the room now and Alex was at least comforted to see familiar faces of the students he would consider to be his friends, and he settled back into his chair with arms crossed over his chest. He would deal with whatever got thrown at him next, this opportunity to learn was too good to pass up on.

The head priestess Medea was holding something up in front of the fire now, and the flash of the pendant, or whatever it was exactly, caught his attention anew.

And then he was just suddenly slipping away.

The words "field trip" were not ones that sat well with Xiu--not since the disastrous Haunted House field trip. Needless to say, the baku was a little apprehensive at the idea of attending the lecture at all, but when the time came, she found herself quietly creeping in after the steady stream of students that filed into the auditorium.

Seeing Medea immediately reminded her of the class on the Death Isles. Could this "field trip" actually be...? As she listened to the horsewoman speak, she discovered that her guess was correct. The trance class during their trip to the isles had been incredibly interesting, but it had left Xiu somewhat shaken as well. Thinking back to it now, she wondered if the path to the future was still paved out as it had been in the last trance session. With how things turned out now with the isles being destroyed...

She shook her head suddenly, pushing away the thoughts as she urged herself to forget about the past and focus on the present. This proved to be a little ironic when Medea revealed just what it was they would be doing, but more than that, the horsewoman's words filled her with a small sense of relief. Xiu would have been lying if she had claimed that the idea of seeing another dark future didn't scare her.

Of course, a dark past wasn't much better...but at least it would be something that had already come and gone.

Leaning back in her seat, Xiu forced herself to relax, her eyes sliding shut. Well, let's just see what they would learn from this experience.

Without a word or second thought, Rosciel gravitated towards his ghoulfriend as the clanswoman argued with that pint-sized secretary of theirs. He had missed her so while Sin was away, and frankly would walk through fire just to spend a few passing moments with her. And attending one of the school's steadily growing infamous field trips might just entail that.

He took her hand just as his attention was caught by the clanswoman at the pyre, focusing on what she was telling them. So they were going to see through the eyes of another in the past? That... didn't sound as bad as anything else he had experienced here.
The young demon watched her, saw the colorless shape move in her hand. He couldn't quite make out what it was, though, and as he tried to focus on it, his mind blanked and his vision shut down.

----------

If it was something to do with the Lost Clan, Julian was there.
The pyre, it reminded him of so many things. The fire that had washed over him when Red died, the flames of the priestess pyres in the hall where he talked with Lumi, the incense that burned as he pulled himself deep into meditation, the ash of innocent souls crying out for vengeance against the heartless things that had destroyed them, the ash that still haunted his dreams sometimes.

The smell of the fire washed over him as he dealt with the conflicting emotions within, closed his eyes, and shuddered as he let the trance take over.

It really didn't matter where they were going. Human world, Hunter-island, a venture into everlasting darkness -- anything would be okay. Because anything was away from here and Thackery couldn't be here anymore.

Everything was a reminder that he'd somehow ruined this. That he hadn't been vigilant enough. Not a good guardian. A bad dog.

It hurt in a way that dissipating a million times couldn't even match.

As they waited, he said nothing, looked at nobody, kept to himself. He wasn't here to be friendly. He was here to escape.

With the crackle of the pyre and the scent of that strange, aromatic smoke, that door opened wide for him.

The last time she had felt the trance from Death, she had seen her friends die, her body torn apart and changed into something else, a weapon.

So it was with curious caution she moved to join the others, her purple eyes flickering curiously. "Master the art of trance... history of Amity..." She had to admit the possibility that she could learn something about the past of the school interested her indeed.

Moving among the others she nodded to a few friends before finding her own space in the room to take a seat. At once she dimmed the FEAR in her eyes, the flames becoming smaller orbs among the hollowed holes before the trance started to kick in causing her eyes to flicker off entirely as the Trance took over.

Vaith had his apprehensions. Vaith has his "nothing seemed to matter anymore" look. He also had his hair perfectly styled and outfit finally free of his bloody wounds a few weeks back.

And Vaith had no problems drifting off into the trance.
