Cosine smiled, Kyrie seemed to understand. Perhaps this parenting business wouldn't be so hard. It amused her that all three of the children seemed to have piled up next to their father and he was dealing with them pretty well.
"Crisis averted there." She took a seat on the sofa next to them all and reached out to pet Kyrie's feathers.

Caelia blinked when she felt the soft brushing of feathers on her knees, and looked down to look at Kyrie - one hand reaching for the cookie and the other reaching to pet her feathers like daddy had been doing as they came in.
By all appearances, Kyrie was already forgiven. Which did not stop the cookie from vanishing into Caelia's mouth rather quickly.
Hmmmm... Yummy !
"Do not ask me how I did that." Really, he had no damn idea. He had just done the first thing that had come to mind and somehow that had worked out just fine.
And now he was more or less being taken over by small children, and a quick look at Isidore proved that his guess was right. While his son seemed to have an interest for intricate bone jewelry, well... It probably would be good to wait until the chewing habit stopped before making him any.

Kyrie closed her eyes and would have smiled if she could have as she was stroked by her mother's gentle hands and patted clumsily by her sister's smaller ones. Sitting up, she opened her eyes and instantly spotted one of the other dropped cookies on the couch. Snapping it up, she chewed happily on it and then crawled over to her brother. Cawing softly, she held her bell out to him and held her free hand out for the interesting thing he was chewing on. She wanted to get a better look at it.

Well, cookies seemed to go down well for everyone but Isi, though perhaps he was like his father when it came to food. Cosine watched her son chew on his bone and smiled. As long as it was keeping him happy.
Isi glanced at his sister's toy and studied it a moment. It seemed that she wanted to switch. he pulled hi toy out of his mouth, studied it and gave a grin. He handed her the slobbery bone and took the bell. It made pretty sounds. He rang it and laughed. Okay, that was fun.
Grinning he decided to climb over his father so that he could show Cae.
"Cae" He said, repeating what he had heard his parents calling her.

"Ohhh..." Well, that was Kyrie's shiny thing was it not ? Well, had been. Still, Caelia seemed quite happy to get a closer look - leaning so far toward her brother that she would have ended up face-planting on the couch should Ankou not have moved to support her.
Dingdingding~ ! Really, it was the sound that seemed to attract her more than the actual shininess of the bell. The little goddess giggled and reached out to touch it. It felt funny, too !
Yep. Godling jungle gym. Apparently that was his new vocation. Even through his hands were busy, one strong flap on an upper wing did send a glowing feather flying toward Kyrie. Mostly, he was just curious to see if his little girl would have the reflex to catch it.

Kyrie grinned and reached out to take the slobbery bone. It was all shiny from her brother's spit and it was slippery too. Examining it, she traced a finger over the smooth, white bone. Pulling her finger away, she eyed the trace of slobber on it, then looked back to the bone. Her brother had seemed rather happy chewing on it. Maybe it tasted just as good as the nummy the cookie thing her mother and sister had brought. Reaching up to put it in her beak, her hand and beak paused when something shimmery caught her eye. Blinking, she tilted her head to the side and she watched the feather float down. Instantly, the bone was forgotten. Dropping the trinket onto the couch, she followed the path of feather. Now that was -shiny-. Reaching out, she pulled herself up to her feet by the back of the couch. Lifting her hand, she stretched for the feather, but nearly tumbled over. Quickly correcting herself, she twisted her head and snapped at the feather with her beak. Catching it successfully, she flopped back onto her backside and pulled the feather from her beak. Sooooo pretty, she thought and traced her fingers over the soft edges of the glowing feather.

Isi laughed as Cae giggled and wiggled the bell again so that it would make noise. He liked the noise too, it was pretty. At the snap of Kyrie's beak he glanced round and saw that she had dropped his toy, though she had something really cool, a feather. One of his daddy's feathers. He watched it a moment, gave Cae the bell, then grabbed the bone.
Well, he wanted some attention and was feeling a little sleepy. With a yawn he clambered onto his father's lap and curled up against him.

Caelia's eyes went wide as Kyrie went for the feather, and she started cheering once her sister had caught her prize - at least, that certainly was what the babbling sounded like. There had been a very distinct 'yay !' in that, but the rest was more or less toddler-speak.
But now Isi was crawling his way up, and she had to admit, her brother clearly had a very good idea there...
"Good job, Kyrie." Ankou grinned. "You can keep that one, if you would like." She had certainly earned it, after all.

Kyrie looked to her siblings and held her prize up so they could get a good look. Waving it in the air, she looked to her father and bounced. She could keep it! He said she could keep it. Twisting around, she crawled over to her mother and practically shoved her gift in her face to show her.
"Da!" she cawed and brought her feather back to run it over her fingers and then over the bridge of her beak.

Cosine blinked a little as the feather was shoved in her face and smiled at Kyrie's excitement.
"That's right. Daddy's." She pointed to the feather and scooped Kyrie up to sit on her lap

Yes. apparently Isidore had a very good idea, because Ankou soon had a lapful of curled up children more or less taking over, either in the process off or having already fell asleep. Caelia let out a yawn as she nestly close to her brother, the sight similar to chicks in a nest... or maybe even a pile of sleeping kittens.
He could not help it, really - Ankou did laugh a bit when it was mama's turn to get a face-full of young godling - or well, close to that at the very least.
"Well. It seems like I am not going anywhere anytime soon." The sleeping pile in his lap seemed quite a testament to that, really.

Kyrie raised her arms up as she was scooped up into her mother's lap. Resting her head against her chest, she watched her sleepy siblings and continued to rub the feather against her beak. She was not sleepy in the least, but she was rather content to sit comfortably in her mother's lap and play with her new keepsake.
