"Uh.. Yeah. You probably don't know him." Or it would be better to assume that Titus didn't know Lizzy. She'd never heard him talk of pink-haired eight-legged freaks, so it was a safe bet that the ghoul had not been traumatized by the likes of the nightmare demon before.
Chard was obviously eating up all the attention the pink-haired creature was giving her. The happy meows that echoed through the dorm halls made that perfectly clear. Cuddles! So many cuddles! Playfully, when Lizzy tilted her head to the side, Chard used one of her paws to bop her on the nose. No claws, just a playful touch.
Riyo seemed on edge as she waited for an answer from the prom-savvy ghoul before her, hands retreating to her pockets to play with a stray pumpkin seed. "Oh.. Oh good." And a relieved sigh followed her answer. Sure. The feline had worn a dress. For a bet. That didn't mean she liked wearing them.
But then what was she going to wear?
".. I was just gonna wear a suit like I usually do, I guess." Really she hadn't planned anything special. Oh, she could hear Titus now. Calling her a boil. Pointing out how nice the other ghouls looked in their dresses right before he 'accidentally' dumped punch on them. Reminding her of how she lost their bet.
Maybe this was what he was expecting. Maybe this was the whole point. The more Riyo thought, the more angry her face appeared. Yes. This was it, wasn't it? He probably thought she was going to, once again, dress like a man because of how self-conscious she was.
"... Maybe... I will wear something ghouly..."

She giggled at Chard for the bop on her nose, putting the minipet back down on her lap - this time on her back, petting her on her tummy.
"Ohh, a suit!" Sure, it was no dress, but she loved suits too. Besides, a suit would fit the occasion, since they were supposed to wear something formal to this prom. When Riyo actually started to look angry without either of them really saying anything, Lizzy just paused, looking increasingly worried as the silence dragged on.
"Oh, um... What made you change your mind?" She asked hesitantly, looking up at the ghoul with a frown.

Ooooh Jack. Tummy rubs. Those were the best. Chard was in seventh heaven. This ghoul was now on her top two favorite people... Since, she only really knew two people.
"I just know my..." What word could she possibly use to appropriately describe him? Honestly, the more she thought about it, the more it made her head reel. "... Temporary companion." Uh. Sure. That would work. "I've gotta stay one step ahead of him. He's going to expect me to wear a suit. Well I'll show that a*****e that I'm not so predictable." Yesss. Riyo began to rub her chin menacingly the more she thought. "And it won't just be something flat. That would be too easy. It needs... Style. Flair." In other words, not be bland. "Yeah. I'm going to surprise the hell out of him." If she could muster up the gumption to put on more whore clothes, as she thought of them.
"I just... Gotta keep my chin up." Which was much more difficult than it sounded. "So, anything else that goes into the prom ritual I might be missing out on?"

She blinked, lips forming an 'o' as she nodded; that was certainly a rather unusual reason to dress up, but she wasn't about to judge Riyo for wanting to surprise her date, and not be predictable. Anyway, any reason to don a dress - especially a formal one - was a good enough reason for Lizzy. In fact...
"If you need help getting a dress, I can help!" She grinned, looking rather proud as she continued, "My family runs a boutique~" Although by 'family', she really meant 'my mother', who had been her only family for a long time now. At the question, she paused, frowning as she tried to recall last year's prom, "Um... I don't think so! Formal wear, dancing, dinner... Oh! I think they'll have a voting for prom king, queen, prince, and princess again this year! And... Uh, a court jester?"

"Y-you will?" Riyo seemed shocked at Lizzy's offer. Xiu had helped her, but the cat demon had known Xiu for awhile. Moreover, the ghoul rarely accepted help...
But it seemed that help would be the only way she could get through it. "I um... I... Certainly wouldn't mind that."
Well, no one ever accused Riyo of being the most gracious sounding person. Showing gratitude = not her strongest point. "I can pay you."
And what was that about prom monarchy? "Ah. I see." But not really. It seemed ironic that they were voting for king and queen.

"Sure, I will!" She beamed, looking pleased that Riyo didn't turn her down; maybe this would be a good opportunity to get acquainted with the ghoul, after so long, "Don't worry so much about the money... Just mention the Baines Boutique if anyone asks about the outfit~" Her smile widened as she winked, putting the minipet on the floor as she stood up, cat fur stuck to her clothing... And everywhere, really.
"Do you have your measurements handy?" She remembered the ghoul wearing something that could be a tailored suit the first - and last - time they met, so it wouldn't surprise her if she did; if she didn't, she'll just have to make a second trip down to take the measurements, "And is there a particular type of dress you're looking for? Mmm, like a certain cutting, color, length..."
She was pretty excited about this.

s**t. Why did people have to be so nice? Why couldn't they be like her and expect something of equal value for services rendered? Was it that much to ask? "... Alright." She mumbled reluctantly. At least Lizzy was nicer than the tailor she usually went to.
The wink made Riyo blush a little, glancing away as Chard was placed on the ground. Measurements? Yeah, Riyo had measurements. Flat, flat, flat. "Uh, hold on. Let me get a piece of paper and write them down."
Momentarily the demoness disappeared into her room, popping back out seconds later with a piece of paper and a mini on either shoulder. "Here." The paper was extended to Lizzy, though... Riyo became confused trying to think about what she wanted.
"Um. Well. Actually, I think I'd like something that... Matched these shoes I have." It may have seemed silly, to make something that matched shoes instead of buying shoes to match the outfit. The shoes meant something to her, though. They were important for more reasons than she could really understand herself. After giving the paper to the pink-haired ghoul, Riyo retreated into her room once again, this time appearing with a pair of heels and four mini's clinging to her. They were a pleasant shade of red with little black designs along the edges. "Something that matched these.."

Lizzy knows those feels, Riyo. She was pretty flat herself.
"Thank you!" She smiled, and took the paper from Riyo, briefly glancing at it before pocketing it. Probably because she was used to odd requests, after helping out at the family boutique, but she didn't really question why Riyo wanted the outfit to match a pair of shoes. Instead, she took out her eyephone, snapping a few photos as reference.
She might also had snapped a picture of the minipets clinging to the ghoul.
"Would a dress in a similar shade of red be too bold?" She asked, keeping her eyephone, "Or would you prefer black, with red - and maybe something else - as a complimentary color? Oh! What about length?" Length was very important; if Riyo had a preference, it would narrow down the number of suitable dresses.

Riyo held out the shoes to be photographed, her brow furrowing when the camera seemed to go a little higher. Was that on purpose?
"You know... I think a red dress might be a little too bold for me. I think black with a little red is fine." She only said that because she had worn a red dress before and well.. It was just... Too spicy for someone so introverted.
"I'd.. Actually like it to be long. Bare legs make me nervous, but everything else is on you." Not that she really thought about what 'everything else' entailed, but dresses were certainly not something Riyo knew a lot about.

"That's doable!" She flashed Riyo a grin, and a thumbs-up, clasping her hands in her own, "Leave it to me! I'll send it over when I find something suitable, and you can try it on to see if it needs further altering!"

How easy had that been? Riyo just killed two birds with one stone. More info about prom and the whole 'what to wear' thing was taken care of. Things were going to be good. At least, she hoped so..
"Alright then. Uh... Thanks again." She wasn't used to saying that word, and it was painfully obvious. Momentarily the feline reached down to scoop up the fat cat looking up at Lizzy. "I guess I'll talk to you when the... Clothes are done. I was on my way out to pick up a few things."
Chard, realizing it was time to part ways, raised a paw to wave at the ghoul who gave good pet-pets and belly rubs. Parting is such sweet sorrow.

"You're welcome!" She beamed, trying to sweep the minipet fur sticking to her clothing, but to no avail, "Yes! Sure, wouldn't want to hold you up any more than I already did." She giggled at Chard, wriggling her fingers at her as a sort of wave.
She then saw herself to the door, passing her name card over to the ghoul, "Call me if you need to ask about anything~ If you send me a text, I'll be able to save your number too, so I can call before coming down with the dress." No more surprise visits from her... For now anyway; besides, it would be bad if she came down looking for the ghoul, only to find that she was out.

Yeah, that fur wasn't gonna come out without a good wash or one big a** lint roller.
With her empty finger, the ghoul snatched the card carefully, only glancing down at it once before looking back towards her fellow demoness. "I'll do that." One person she certainly didn't mind having her number. "Thanks again."
One last nod and Riyo put Chard up before making her way towards the exit. "I'll see you then." Was the last thing she said to Lizzy before she disappeared down the halls.
