Molly just nodded her head sympathetically. A mission was a mission…
If she was ordered to do this…would she? That was another thing Molly didn’t want to think about, and would just count her lucky stars that she wasn’t in Bix’s position. It didn’t make her feel easy at all though. Who would get in trouble…how bad would it be? This was a very uncomfortable position. Molly ended up falling silent as well. She lost the nerve to say whatever she had wanted to say…so she more or less dismissed her topic from the table. Really, this list thing was much more important to fret about.
After the silence stretched on for a long moment, Molly finally spoke up. “…W…well…I think you should…go get showered and a change of clothes…” She reached up to pat his shoulder lightly, smiling a bit encouragingly.

Bix nodded. Mina was squawking at him, begging him to make Molly talk but he couldn't do that. He'd already gotten weird enough on her and then laid down some pretty discouraging stuff.
It made him feel like s**t.
He didn't even want to pursue asking her about hanging out or doing the things on the list.. or going to get a tattoo. Maybe that would wait till this was over. Or maybe he would just end up doing them himself.
"Thanks for listening." He slid off the rock and offered his hand for her, helping her up. He was super conscious not to hold it too long or... be weird. After letting all of his weird out, he felt like an idiot. He simply tucked his hands in his pockets when she was on her feet and ignored the continuing stewing feeling in his gut. "And.. sorry I got all weird. In retrospect, I feel like a fool."
He gave her a smile and flung his braid around his neck like a scarf.

“Anytime, Bix.” Molly assured with a smile, taking his hand when he helped her up. “Thank you…” She seemed unsure of what to do with herself as well…and after a moment she ended up wrapping her hand lightly around his forearm. That was okay, right? Friends did that, right? Molly seemed ready to pull it back at a moment’s notice though.
“Oh, goodness, it’s alright, really!” Molly nodded her head. “You weren’t weird at all. I think…you’re just stressed? Which is very understandable…” She paused. “…I mean it…um…I’m here whenever you want to talk…or um…if there’s anything I can do to help you try and feel better…please let me know!”

Bix seemed more than happy to have her hold his arm. He patted her hand a moment with a smile before putting his free hand into his pocket.
"Well I meant what I said before. I do want to get a tattoo... of Mina." Bix actually looked excited, in a good way, for the first time all night. "She's super particular about it. She says we need to go to South America and .." He squinted, as the weapon was hissing at him. "She says she'll translate. I'll text you or something and we can talk about it later."
Plans were good. Plans could be fun. At least the conversation didn't end too horribly.
