Reoakee

Shadow took a pause as if to think about the different combinations that could be done for her name. All were beautiful in their own right and he could have such a time. As he thought, his facial expressions would change as he mulled over each one in his mind. A few were comical and at one point it looked as though he had made the discovery of a lifetime...which was quickly thwarted by an expression of uncertainty. "I believe calling you 'Arwen Ithil' would just provoke me into calling you 'Lady Moon' which would in fact be quite redundant if I can muster the language correctly... Arwen I find I will be using quite frequently so I suppose Arwen Mallen might fair me slightly better." The male chuckled slightly knowing that he may indeed call her by her full name at one point and Arwen Ithil and another Arwen Mallen or maybe even just Lady Moon. Shadow gave a brief snort offering a gentle smile toward the fae that walked at his side. "I can see. I can understand how it would be extremely different for her to experience what you are so used to and vice versa. It was lucky for her to have met someone such as yourself rather than another that may not have been as kind." Shadow gave a gentle laugh at her comment nodding his head in agreement. "Oh yes I believe it would be all the entertainment. I can imagine what it would be like and I am trying to hold back my guffawing." His eyes were bright as they spoke feeling all the more comfortable around her. He had met others but Arwen Mallen was the first to make him feel this way - and not just because she came from the plane he so revered. There was something special about this mare that he could not place, but it made him feel all the more alive when she was around.

"Well maybe I shall become one of your honored guests someday. I would love to see your home. Maybe you would like to come to mine as well if you would like to make the trip?" Shadow tilted his head idly, his heart prancing in hopes that she would say yes. He moved in a steady stride with hers, ears flicking forward and then back enjoying their stroll. Shadow hadn't even noticed that she slowed down for him in an effort to help him rest his body. He was too wired, too excited to be here and in the presence of a fine mare. "I will be sure to visit you, Lady Moon. That is a promise." Shadow gave her a gentleman bow of his neck and flashed another sensuous smile as they passed through the village. He made a mental note of how to get back as well as the location of her home. Shadow wondered how long he would be welcome to stay - he didn't want to impose after all. Soon they came to the river which Shadow stopped in the stream and immediately began to drink. He wasn't tired but he was indeed parched. Water was always something he partook in no matter the length of time between drinks. It was something he knew his body could not live without.

Lady circle. Not the most flattering name she had but it still sounded cute coming from Shadow. The faces he made when he was thinking made he want to laugh. Ah he was so cute. It was just like teasing her bonded. Luin loved it. “Very well then.” She giggled wondering if he even knew. Most likely not. After all he was such a kind Azrein that if he had any idea then he would most certainly try and change it to something more fantastic or whimsical. She shrugged at his comment about her bonded’s disorientation. “I to understand it well enough now that I am here on this land, but all the same the way we view things is different. To her it was a nightmare, and to me this is a dream. She is lucky that I was there to help her back, I think other members of my herd would have tried to send her back alone. That would not have ended well I think. ” She shook her heat. “My bonded may be small but she is more stubborn and set in her path then a comet. She would surely have annoyed any others if she delt with them. Still we shall see how she deals with your human healer. We’ll know in mere moments if she likes the other one or not. My bonded tends to make up her mind fast then stick to it. I assure you like or not it will be entertaining to watch. Her social skills are about that of a rock.” Laughing lightly she nodded to his words. “I would be very pleased to see your home, but I fear I would need your guidance to get there. After all you know where I live so it would be easy for you to find me, I have no inkling where you come from save racing through the fields.” She chided him gently. “Perhaps you can take me sometime when you next chase your stars this way.” He was very graceful in his bow. It made her want to bow back on impulse alone.

Stepping up beside him she too drank from the water of the river. It came from the forest and fed into the great lake far in the Great Plains below. It far too wide to cross but it was not to bad to drink from. The water was cool and current kind in this spot. Luin’s main and tail floated on the moonlit water while she drank. As she finished she lifted her head up and her wet mane clung to her and little rivulets of water raced down her coat. “Well it seems our travels here are at an end. Shall we head south into the plains. North to woods or back the way we have come?” She put her nose into the water and flicked it up at him to splash Shadow. If he didn’t decide soon then she definitely would. A night run sounded like a lot of fun. After all she knew this area well enough that she’d have no problem racing alone and who knows she might even loose him if she raced thought the shadows of the woods. That wouldn’t do at all. So the plains to the south would be a better option since she doubted that he wanted to turn back the way they came. That would put him further from his set of stars he followed for so long.

Reoakee

He couldn't help but smile at her giggle wondering if he had made the right choice in his name for her. He made a mental note to learn from her bonded the language of her name and what each word meant. Hopefully he wasn't calling her anything dumb, but with a name such as hers that sounded so whimsical, so pure, so beautiful that it was hard for him to think that he had made a wrong choice. His face sobered as she spoke of how she helped her bonded back to this plane that he and many others were so accustomed to. "I can imagine. Sometimes I wonder about those who have no patience for others that are not like them.I am sure that our bonds will get along fine. I can't help but wonder if maybe they were separated at birth somehow for Athari isn't very well with her tongue lest Nailiah is around. She speaks her mind - good or ill - quite frequently and she doesn't have much for social protocol. I think I would be more scared of Athari had she been a mare." Shadow couldn't help but chuckle at the thought of the human he had become so close to turning into an azrein. He then wondered how she would deal with the change which simply made him guffaw. "Oh indeed, I am quite glad that Athari is not one of our kind." The stallion shook his head all in good humor however flicking his tail as he stepped high in order to calm himself down. Her joke was not lost to him and he felt himself blushing while gazing into her gorgeous eyes. "Well, my Lady Moon, I do suppose that my running will be my end one of these days. But until then, I would be more than happy to show you my home. It is about a day travel in the other direction and I am sure those I stay with would love your company as much as I have come to."

The water was pleasant against him as he drank. If he didn't know any better he swore that steam was coming off his hooves. Had he been running that intensely? He rolled his eyes at the thought before his surprise at the water Luin had cast on him. He shook his head in surprise and in response before 'attacking' back by sticking his snout in the water and taking a good mouthful in his cheeks. The stallion lifted his head and unloaded on her with a jet stream of water aiming for her hair and side. He whinnied his laughter splashing the water with his front hooves getting him and a little of her. "Two can play at this game, Arwen Mallen." Shadow proceeded to waggle his eyebrows in mock danger taunting his body to get it ready for another watery attack from her.

Laughing happily she took the hit of water so she could use her tail and flip water up him. “Oh I certainly do hope two could play after all my victory over you without challenge would be meaningless.” She smiled and moved a bit away from Shadow so he would have to follow her. It gave her time to talk and to think. “You know I too have wondered about Azrein who treat others harshly simply due to a difference. It makes no sense to me. The world and planes in it are so vast and beautiful because of the differences that exist in it.” She moved a bit to the side so Shadow wouldn’t have a clear shot at her before she spoke again this time addressing her bonded and Athari. “Perhaps they were of one family or even one soul and separated at some point. If that’s the case then I look forward to reuniting them. “ She wondered what Reoakee would be like as an Azrein. Reo would be grumpy, not very social, the kind of mare you’d have to shove to go anywhere. Luin could almost see herself having to shove Reo out of the forest and drag her by the tail to get her to come into a meadow with other Azrein. It was almost sad but it made Luin thank her luck that humans were smaller and easier to drag. “I’m glad my bonded is human. It makes it easier to get her places.” Nodding Luin danced in water around to splash a bit at Shaddow. She missed but it was fun. Mm a day’s travel? Well that didn’t seem to bad at all. An who knew perhaps she could bring Reoakee along and watch what would happen if the humans were to met. Oh that would be fun! Still Reo wasn’t often away from her home unless the other little humanoid who was staying was willing to watch the place. Luin smiled thinking how she could best convince the long eared girl to stay. It hadn’t been long since she started to live with Reoakee, perhaps she might have to do a bit of maneuvering but Luin was certain she could get it to work. She laughed and kept dancing around in the water trying to avoid any splashes Shadow could make while trying to get him. She didn’t know when the stallions’ travels would come to an end, but she hoped he would at least stop by a few times. After all he promised to be her guide and how could he do that if he never saw her? Still she couldn’t just say she wanted him to stop by often after all he had a journey he wanted to do. Why else travel. It was what brought her to this world after all. It might do him good to travel and see the world more. In the meantime she could learn more of this world from her bonded and perhaps look forward to seeing him the day his travels came to an end.

"Oh! You wound my heart with such words, m'Lady!" He laughed at her teasing enjoying her company. The waters rippling and dancing around them. Their reflections seemed to make some sort of water galaxy right underneath them - a sky of purple, black, blue and white. Shadow indeed followed her intrigued as to why he felt this way around her. "Living things should learn to respect one another. But that doesn't always happen. Azrein and humans can live together, though sometimes it doesn't always work like that. And even then, there are some humans who mistreat Azrein...I just wish there was some way that we could all see how beautiful each one of us is." He attempted to splash her from the side with a kick of his hooves, but she had moved from his attack range. He proceeded to put himself into another position. "Aye, I am sure Athari would enjoy the company as I hope you would enjoy mine. Maybe get some sort of amusement out of their interaction." He chuckled a little walking away just in time to dodge of her attacks. Either she was getting sloppy or he was getting better. He preferred the latter as Shadow watched Luin with much enjoyment. "Athari mostly travels to the markets or the woods. She's not against socializing but she'd rather not. Says it's too much of a pain to remember names of people she may never meet again." Shadow stopped for a moment wondering about the human he had aligned himself to. She was indeed intimidating for one and could be quite gruff when she wanted to be. But Athari did everything with purpose and was extremely graceful as if it was her second nature. His thoughts were interrupted as a splash caught him on the neck. He shook his frame giving a playful glare toward the mare in his presence. She was indeed something. He began to wonder if she would want to travel with him. But she had her bonded and a home. Maybe he would seek her out from time to time. He had promised he would guide her and show her the world through his eyes. It would do no good to not do good on his promise after all. And who wouldn't want to return to someone like her? He definitely wouldn't mind having her to talk to for hours and even ages on end. Shadow felt as though he could converse with Luin for long periods of time and still not fully know her. That was her mystery that he was falling into - and he enjoyed it thoroughly. He gave a good more good attack splashes before stopping, his heart beating fast in his chest. "Shall we call it a tie, Lady Moon? If only to humor my lack of expertise at this game that you oh so possess." Shadow chuckled coming forward to brush her hair from her eyes with his nose. He was being extremely brave at this point. Would she reject him?

Dark x Deception

"A wound such as my words can give could not possibly kill." Her eyes danced in merriment as the game continued. Shadow's words were sweet as his manner. She had no doubt he was a gentle souul who could see all the good in the ohters as he wished them to see as well. That thought warmed her very being. The thought of humans harming Azrein was enough to make her heart bleed and she hoped she never witnessed such horror. To think that others might and did was painful enough Nodding to his hope she couldn't help but want to shout yes enthusiastically to his comment of course she would enjoy the company. Still she refrained if only for the sake of her not seeming to wanton. "I think things will work out just fine." She out and out laughed at his stopping the game the way he did."If my prowess was so peerless I would have won. I fear I have so much to learn and you're a very good teacher." As he came forward to brush her mane back she held still long enough for him to finish want he wanted. As he started to pull back she reached forward and nuzzled him gently and yet firmly."I know you'll think me silly for this, but I've been wanting to do that all night." Continuing what she was doing she sighed contentedly near his ear. "This is nice. I was worried that in coming here perhaps I would not find another who I could be close to. Of course I am close to my bonded, but this and that are different matters entirely. Thank you so much Shadow of the stars. You have given me more than I had thought to find or ask for." With that said she pulled back just a bit to give him room to breath. She wasn't sure if it was alright what she did and said, but it felt right to her and the most natural thing in the world. Luin was never one to hold back on something that made her feel good so being near Shadow was something Luin would cherish and never grow tired of.She wanted to be able to give Shadow something that could rival the joy she felt but she had no idea what she could give the male. All the food she could offer was back at the shop and it didn't seem like it could compare. Even sugar,as sweet as it was, did not hold a candle to the brightness inside of her. No gift or thing she had seen on this plane so far came close to the warmth of the connection with this stallion. "I wish I had a gift worthy of you here to show you how grateful I am to you." Still standing close to him she bumped his nose with her own very softly. Her eyes held nothing but love and warmth inside their teal gaze. Finally she broke away from him and headed back to dry land. She knew on day she would find a gift worthy of her Shadow of stars. She blinked. When did she start thinking of him as hers? the thought made her happy and yet nervous.

Shadow gave a quiet laughter shaking his head. "Well Arwen Mallen, I shall have to get better if I am teach you properly." He shook his head a little keeping close to her even as he finished brushing her hair from her face. It was when she leaned in to nuzzle him did he feel a state of shock. Well this certainly was a nice surprise! The silence between them was not deafening at all as he simply let her nuzzle him in a way that she wished. "...Not silly at all, Lady Moon." Shadow whispered flicking his ear forward to catch her words. Her whisper was like a gentle song in his ears, one he yearned to hear more of from each word she spoke. As she pulled back, he stared into her eyes watching her carefully wondering if he had indeed been dreaming. "M'Lady, there is nothing for you to thank for...I should be thanking you for taking to me as you have...I am not sure what I have done, but I intend to keep on doing it as much as I can if it pleases you..." His ears flicked forward a little as he gave her a smile. Shadow of the stars, huh? He liked the name and how it sounded...but was he worthy to be put up in the stars, her homeland? He opened his mouth to say something but quickly shut it as she spoke again. Again, Shadow was caught speechless by her need to give him something. He nudged his nose gently against hers staring into her eyes with the same warmth and adoration that she held for him. His nostrils flared as he took in her scent that about drove him crazy. Shadow allowed her to walk away for a moment before he walked as silently as possible out of the water. He came up beside her and took her head underneath his own in a hug wrapping his neck around hers. He closed his eyes giving a gentle sigh nuzzling into her attempting to contort his body so that it rest and kept against hers as close as possible. After the tight embrace, he moved and nudged his nose against hers gently staring into her eyes. "You already have. You, Luin Olos Ithil Mallen, are my gift. One that I will cherish in my heart always and forever. I am forever honored and indebted for the stars - and your bonded - for bringing you here and for giving me this chance to run into you - literally." Shadow chuckled a little at his joke, but the meaning was all the same. "You are truly my gift and intend to keep you for as long as you will have me as your Shadow of the stars." The stallion gave a gentle knicker and a snort brushing his nose against hers again. "Will you allow me to be yours as I ask you permission to be mine?" The stallion breathed shaking intensely waiting for her reply. His heart felt as though it would beat out of his chest as above them a star shot across the sky flying fast but appeared to slow down over the pair. If Shadow had been looking, he would have swore it was a sign from his mother, but it seemed as though he was happily distracted by the mare in front of him. Very, happy distracted.

Dark x Deception

Well they would just have to learn together, since Luin had no intention of being left behind. He was definitely something so very interesting. He really didn’t seem to know that just by being himself he had opened up this world for her and given her a reason to be happy here? She loved her bonded dearly and she like Alu-lote and Mei well enough but Shadow was someone new who didn’t have to like her or didn’t have any connections to anyone else she was tied too. Shadow had chosen to love her as she was, not because she was attached to Reo the village healer and shop owner. Not because she shared a bonded with Alu-lote who always listened and was sweet. Luin was simply herself with Shadow and he didn’t mind. There was no obligation or need to be more. He spoke of the stars with reverence and she could tell him about her homeland if she ever found the words to describe it. He would listen willingly to her. He wanted to show her this, his world and share it with her. Luin felt like a princess with Shadow. When he embraced her she gave a tiny gasp of surprise but let him wrap himself around her. He was warmer than she expected him to be. Perhaps it was the playing they had done in the water. His words struck a chord of resonance within her. She was his gift? At first she didn’t understand but that came as he kept speaking. She laughed at his joke. It was cute. With his nose touching her she gave him a light pressure before she responded. “Of course. I am yours as you are mine. For now until the end of us.” Luin felt light and happy. The moonlight shown down on the both of them is making her coat glow as an ethereal beauty and the stars on his coat twinkle as if laughing. “After all what is moon but forever surrounded by the shadow of the stars?” She laughed and wondered how she was going to tell her bonded that not only was a handsome stallion coming by from time to time, but he was there for her and her alone. Laughing aloud she rubbed against him clearly happy and definitely agreeing with his statement. “Shadow you are marvelous you know that? Simply marvelous!” She nuzzled him for a while, but it didn’t feel like that to her.
