"This is no animal sound, not one that I have heard at least," Kanic said in agreement, "But very strange to say the least." Kanic continued forward, by this point almost on top of the glowing item. His 'eye' had finally made it back, fluttering a bit louder. "Hush!" he said with a stern whisper, "You're gonna get us in more danger with your flappin. I can send you back again!" he continued as he made a harsh movement towards him. The 'eye' calmed and settled between Kanics wings, reluctantly.
Kanic turned toward Shikon. "Sh...' he said, again in a whisper, "We don't want to make to much noise. It does seem as it the noise it was making has gotten lower in sound now that we are here." kanic began to wonder if he should paw at the item to see if he could get a better idea of what it was.
((Do we know what the item is? It could have been the mask/totem that Kanic got in the SPLASH event... However, that has "evil" things and will change Kanics personality... Has Shikon fallen in love at first sight that she wont leave him? He will become split personality and will refuse to believe that he is mean when he removes the items... ))

Shikon looks at the Eye thing again as she looks at Kanic more thinking But I didn't say anything that time She smirks getting an idea. Oh the fun she thought after all there is a cave down this way and when the wind moves through it. You get this howling sound. She has known this from the start and has been acting this whole time not to know what was making the howling sound. But while smirking she bumps into him acting like she is in fear right now as her bump made him get closer to the Mask. She looks at the eye and smirks but when Kanic looks back she has a look on her fear like she is in fear. Though she isn't and she is having fun with this and this Stallion is fun to be around. ((Yes it is the Mask he got. And no need to worry Shikon is already in love with him. His Split Personality might only make him cuter and more interesting to her. Like she would leave him then. She would be more into him seeing he would be more interesting to her then he is now. ))

Just as Kanic gets close to the item to uncover it, he feels a bump. Kanic startles, jumps a little, and his heart begins to pound. As he looked back, he noticed it was the mare, and tried to play the bump off. "Oh, I knew it was you. Everything ok?" he asked.
As he waited for an answer, Kanic bent down to uncover the item. Cautiously at first, kanic continued to uncover the item. As he shifted the sand around, Kanic began to see some orange paint on a bone colored item. As he uncovered the item more, he noticed black smoke beginning to seep up through the ground.
((Sounds good, I guess we will see where this goes....)

Shikon looking at him. "Oh I am fine. Just a little scared is all." She smirks once Kanic is looking away as she watches him and sees something orange and then smoke as she wonders what on earth is going on. Why would smoke come from the ground? Just what was it that she led him too and was it a bad idea to lead someone she just met here? She shrugs a bit. Oh well this should be interesting and maybe fun so she shouldn't be over thinking it. After all it is most likely something mystical and whatnot. "Maybe we shouldn't play with something that is leaking smoke? It could be mystical and bring us trouble." She huffs a bit as the smoke bothers her just a bit but she gets use to it soon. She whispers a bit Or it might make you into something else she jokes as she is game for this even if it is against her better judgement. ((Yup and this should be fun. ))

Kanic ignores the smoke rising. "Eh, a little smoke won't hurt anyone," Kanic said, ignoring the mares first comment, "Its prolly just been kicked up from the dust." Kanic continued to uncover the item, and as he got close to uncovering it, he noticed another piece. Kanic was now very intrigued. "Hey, look at this!" he said with a bot of excitement. This looks like something that could fit on a stallions head. But what is that other thing?" he asked as he finished uncovering the two items. "Why don't you come take a look!" Kanic was now very intrigued, and the black smoke, which now billowed around, seemed to irritate his eyes just a bit. "I wonder," he started before letting out a few coughs, "If I...." He could get much more out as he began to cough much more.

Shikon watching him as she is worried about the smoke and what it might do. Hearing him cough as she gets panicked a bit more. "Are you sure we shouldn't worry about the smoke. You are coughing now." She points out as her eyes scan the smoke and feeling that it is unnatural. "That smoke feels so unnatural." Stating as she paces side to side watching him again. Wanting to tell him to leave the items be.
