The frown became much more distinct at the use of the nickname and the call-out against his expression, but he was content to let it go until the name was repeated and questioned by Rosie. He really did not want to recount the conversation that had led up to the name, and he really did not want said name to stick. "Would you stop calling me that!" Rather than outright anger, though, the enduring red of his features indicated a deep embarrassment.

She still didn't quite get it, but she figured that it was probably something that she had to be there to really understand. Hearing that Luke claimed to be a robot to Yuri sounded pretty... odd.

She just smiled it away sheepishly, tilting her gaze back over to Yuri. "Well, I wouldn't blame him for that." She said with a softer tone. "In a way, all of us have kinda found ourselves in situations." She pulled a hand out from behind her back and gestured lightly with it.

Luke really was far too easy to tease on a regular basis. He found it hard to believe that some witty old man hadn't already beaten him to it. The kid was just ripe for the picking.

However, Rosie's comment drew pause, his smirk fading away.

"Huh? What do ya mean?"

Yuri had been mostly joking after all, but he could see that this girl was serious.

Lately. 'Lately' went a while back by now. Misfortune seemed to follow the trainers. Luke clearly remembered Rosie's stories of the pokemon that had been stolen from her and the woman who had set fire to her home. And then what? Then the violent woman that had declared herself a member of Team Rocket, then the contest and the loss of Rosie's Vaporeon, the meeting with the Rocket that shared appearances with him, the realization of how little he could really do on his own, the encounter with the pair of Rockets that had been determined to steal from him and Rosie, the near loss of Emil to the anger of a Sharpedo, the discovery that that similar-faced Rocket was his brother, the uncertainty over the sincerity of his friends, the doubt of his own memory, the disaster near the mountains, the continued failure to retrieve Vahy'n, the incident with the muggers...

He shuddered slightly and passingly, as if stirred by a sudden and unexpectedly chilly breeze, but remained otherwise still and silent, staring absently at the ground with a severity to his gaze and a stiffness to his posture.

Sensing the shift in demeanor from her friend, Rosie cast a passing gaze over to Luke, but she neither made comment on it, or let her blue eyes linger for very long before she was turning her attention back over to Yuri, giving him a pleasent look.

"Normally yes, but there are some arias known to be more hostile toward humans."
At the mention of not knowing Team Rocket, her eyebrows arched, blue eyes growing a little more wide as her face fell a little. "You don't know about Team Rocket?"

Yuri blinked once at Rosie, as it seemed the girl expected him to already be well versed on this supposed Team Rocket. He then looked to Luke as the boy offered an explanation.

"Steal Pokemon, huh? Can't they go catch some themselves? Plenty of Pokemon in the world, right?" So what was the point in going around stealing Pokemon? Didn't make a whole lot of sense to him.

Yuri hadn't exactly been in Kodo for very long, thus he wasn't completely in the know yet.

"Yeah, I've wondered the same damn thing," Luke muttered bitterly. It was a question that he had even had the opportunity to pose to a member of the organization once, though the answer yielded had been nothing short of unsatisfactory.

Rosie substantiated his brief explanation, and he crouched to extend a hand to the listening Mieu, beckoning the Flareon's company if only briefly. The fire-type, understanding his master's disposition as one of suffering, obliged, leaning into the offered hand and arching to lick the boy's chin. Luke replied with a gentle pat to the creature's head before returning to an upright posture, his expression a little clearer and more straightforward.

"We're doing our best to fight them," he said, "but it's hard not knowing when or where they'll show up."

She nodded with what Luke said firmly, to show her commitment to what he had said, but there was a sadness to the words.

"The police are doing everything they can, but with Team Rockets its now as simple as just getting the police involved."
she told him. "They're very organized from what we can tell. The League, including us trainers of the league, and the police alike are doing our best. But like Luke said." she gestured gently toward her friend. "There is a lot we don't know yet, or can predict."
