"I am," she said seriously before breaking into a smile. "I enjoyed it. I've come to enjoy fighting a lot, actually. And I need to become stronger, especially since I've seen the ones we're up against." She frowned slightly, a certain face coming to her mind.
"There was this one male--I don't know what he was, he had a scar over one eye and... beautiful clothes. He was terrifying. He made me fall to my knees almost from across the room. Until I can make someone like that flinch, I'm still not doing it right."

Sasha didn't like fighting. Even as a hunter, she didn't have the drive that many of her other comrades seemed to have. She'd never liked confrontation, not at all, and at first she'd felt incapable.
She was growing stronger, bolder, with each fight - and while it was fun, it was exciting, well. There was still a part of her that didn't want to fight.
"You can do it, Syd," Sasha encouraged her friend. "If you set your um. Your mind to it? I don't think anyone - or anything - can hold you back."

"I think the same goes for you, too," Syd told her. "I know... that this life doesn't seem to suit you as well as it does some of the others. Especially when we were in Antarctica... but I know that you have it in you to be one of the best Life Hunters. Since I'm a Mist... I don't think I'll ever be able to claim to be the best at any one section, but you," she said, "you can. And I think you will, too."

A large, bright smile came over Sasha's face.
"That means a lot to me, Syd, really." She went a bit misty-eyed before she wrapped an arm around the other woman's shoulders.
"I've.. I don't know. It's hard to like.. cope with things. But.. maybe I am - maybe I should be - better suited to being a hunter. I'm.. I never had a lot of friends, you know?"
She shrugged her shoulders.
"I'm just glad I have friends now. Like you."

"It is one of the best parts of being a hunter," Syd agreed, limping slightly and wrapping an arm around the other girl's waist as well so they could balance each other out while heading for the Life division area. She fully planned on getting patched up before taking a nap. "It almost makes the life defying missions worth it, don't you think?"
