The gym leader visibly cringed as the little puppy dug its teeth into the small bat. Woobat didn't like physical moves one bit, nor did they especially appreciate Dark-type moves. With a small, almost pathetic squeak, the Pokemon fluttered to the ground, dragged there by the weight of the Lillipup. The Leader swiftly withdrew his Pokemon - no reason to let the puppy worry at it. "Good work," he called out to his opponent, "but you're not done yet. Go, Pidgeotto!" In a burst of light the falcon-like Pokemon appeared. "Let's start off with Gust!" The Pidgeotto beat its wings against the air at the command, summoning a small tornado to toss around its opponent. Keeping the Lillipup at a distance would be key.

Jenkins started flailing his legs when he was picked up by the tornado. Alex just stared at Jenkins cause he didn't know what to do. Jenkins landed but seemed really wobbly and like he would fall at any second. Alex guessed that he wouldn't be able to tackle or bite the bird, but there was something that he could do to help. "Use Leer!" he shouted as the puppy pokemon started staring forcefully at the bird trying to scare it.

The Pidgeotto wasn't stopped by the Lillipup's Leer, but it did visibly flinch, a sure sign that the attack was a success. There was nothing the leader could do about the effects of the move now, so he simply pushed ahead with the battle. "Let's go Pidgeotto, hit it with Quick Attack!" he commanded. His Pokemon swiftly responded, shooting ahead and striking the Lillipup at a blinding speed before retreating back to the sky.

Jenkins looked around as it tried to guess where the bird would attack from, but couldn't react fast enough when he saw it coming and was tossed out of the arena and hit the wall. "Jenkins!" The Lillipup fell back after trying to stand up and Alex called it back in its ball. "Fine, I can use a flying type too!" Alex said as he tossed the ball that he had put aside when looking for the one that Blue was currently in.
The Spearow popped out of the ball and flew up to the top of the building before looking around for something to fight. Alex was just pointing at the Pidgeotto and as the only other things that it could see were his Oshawott and Poochyena and it was sure that his other pokemon were hiding somewhere. It dove straight towards the other bird and its head started blurring as it got ready to use Fury Attack. "USE FU-... Oh..." Alex just started watching it as it seemed to already know to use the attack he wanted it to use.

((I am SO sorry Vincent >.< I apologize for the massive holdup, I plain forgot about this battle))
The leader's Pidgeotto hadn't quite recovered from its last attack when the Spearow plummeted from the sky, pecking at it furiously and taking the falcon completely by surprise. The Pidgeotto was eventually able to shake free of the tiny bird's attacks, but not until it had managed to land five solid blows. The gym leader frowned. The battle was close, he could tell that, but his Pidgeotto had just taken quite a bit of damage. It was going to be tough to come out of this on top. "Alright Pidgeotto, use Gust!" he called out. The falcon responded by flapping its wings as fast as possible to create a miniature tornado of air around the enemy Spearow.

The Spearow backed off a little when the Pidgeotto started using Gust. "Ok, now fly around it and atta-" The Spearow didn't listed and tried to dive straight through the whirlwind and attack from there but it couldn't make it through and was spun around and tossed to the ground. "That wouldn't have happened if you listened to me!" Alex yelled as the Spearow started flying to use Fury Attack on the Pidgeotto again.

The Pidgeotto flinched as the Spearow dove in for another round of attacks, but this time the falcon was able to escape from its smaller opponent after only a pair of strikes. Even still, the Pidgeotto was starting to breathe hard and the leader knew that it didn't have much left. "Alright Pidgeotto, hit him with a Quick Attack!" he commanded swiftly, figuring that a physical move might work better than a special one. The bird responded by charging at the Spearow, ramming into it at high speeds.

Once the Pidgeotto hit Spearow it was tossed back far enough to get hit into the wall and fall to the ground. It was obvious that it wasn't in any shape to fight but it climbed back to its feet and tried to take off to attack again, but Alex called it back into its pokeball. "Ok Lin go!" The Oshawott hopped into the ring and shot a Water Gun at the bird.

The Gym Leader gritted his teeth as the Water Gun smashed into his Pidgeotto. The falcon managed to stay aloft, but by a narrow margin. Ordinarily, the leader would have recalled his Pokemon at this point - it was too injured to turn the tides of an uneven battle, but in a close situation like this, it was important to let his Pokemon fight to the end. He had only a small opportunity to come out on top, but intended to make the best of it. "Pidgeotto, use Fly!" the leader ordered. If he could somehow dispatch the Oshawott in a single blow, a simple Quick Attack might suffice to deal with the Poochenya. Meanwhile, his Pokemon had begun its ascent to the rafters, flapping tiredly upwards. We're almost done here, Pidgeotto, the Gym Leader thought. Just hang in there.

Well that wasn't good. The Pidgeotto was to high for Lin to hit it, and she would probably hit a light instead, and that wouldn't be good for anyone. "Uh..." Alex mumbled trying to think of something that he could do to help. He looked through his bag for something like an attack boosting item or a revive, but he couldn't find either of those. Looks like he didn't have any. "Poop... Lin when it attacks try and hit it with a water gun!" The Oshawott nodded and took a stance that would let her react to the bird faster.

Lin watched the Pidgeotto come down and waited. If she moved too early it would be able to move and hit her head on, but if she was too late she wouldn't be able to do anything. Alex stared at the Oshawott and wondered what it would do and if it would use a water gun to force the bird to abandon its attack. Once the Pidgeotto was about to hit her Lin moved to the side just enough to avoid the beak, but still got hit by the wing and she grabbed onto it and shot a Water Gun at it before she slipped off the wing. It looked like it hit her hard but she was able to stand up once she stopped rolling after she hit the ground.

The Pidgeotto had had enough. The Oshawott's blast of water was enough to put the bird down and it landed heavily on the ground. The gym leader nodded grimly as he recalled his Pokemon. He'd expected as much. "Congratulations trainer," he said, striding across the battlefield. "You've won. As such, I present you with the Blyse City Gym badge." He held out a hand, the polished disk gleaming in the middle of his palm. "I also grant you this TM - Aerial Ace. Good luck on your future challenges."
