When asked about that day, Molly would first be surprised that it was her promotion mission. Second. She would have a hard time recalling it.
When she thought about it though, the last thing she remembered was something about Vaska yelling about jumping, some horrified faces, and then also the thought ‘my load did blow early!’ Then it was all white, and she knew nothing else, so she was very surprised to come to in the Infirmary and for it to be night time.
Ushered out of the infirmary with a wrapped box in hand, Molly’s brows were furrowed. Once again, her curiosity was great…but she was feeling…
really drafty.
She looked down.
Oh.
Well.
That explained a lot.
She stared down and wiggled her toes. At least they were all still there. Had to look at the bright side! Hurr hurr. The bright side that wasn’t an explosion.
When Molly
finally did return to the underground bunks, showered and fully clothed once more, she’d find her note, her new
Intermediate coat, and
even better than the Intermediate coat and the
IOU…a new pair of socks. Molly was never one to hold a grudge, and now was no exception, especially after such thoughtfulness. She was truly touched. Molly fished out her phone…which
miraculously made it out unscathed, and typed out a text.

Hi Lance, sir!
It’s alright! Really. I’m really sorry too! I blew my load early, apparently!
Thank you so, so, so much for the coat and the socks! I love them! I really hope we can have another training session soon as well, and of course, a rematch! I hope we’ll be able to! I think I need to go play a song for Daffodil in remembrance now.
Have a good night!
Molly
