Spinel vs Flora [Fin]

Spinel cackled gleefully when his opponent froze up. Revenge was sweet!

"Quick, ThunderPunch while it's still frozen!" Lyle commanded.

Spinel eagerly leaped forward, his fist crackling with electricity.

Zak could do nothing, nor could Flora while she was frozen. Although after the electric attack, the ice had thawed and Flora was free to move again. "Freeze its movements once more with Blizzard Flora!"

The attack nearly drained half of her energy, however it made her free again. 'Jumping' about with a determined look upon her face the horsea whipped up a cold wind, attempting once more to freeze her opponent.

As soon as the Horsea was free, Spinel was frozen again. Lyle sighed as the Sableye tried to work himself free again, grumbling a little.

"Alright Flora you froze it. Now lower its defense again with Flash Cannon once more!" He called out.

Light began to gather in her 'nose' and once enough light was gathered she 'shot' it at the Sableye.

Spinel felt himself growing weaker, but he stubbornly wriggled around, loosening the ice just a little bit.

Instead of light gathering in her 'nose' she gathered water. Releasing it she shot the powerful water attack towards her opponent.

Spinel couldn't do a thing to dodge the rush of water but keep struggling. He could feel the ice weakening! Just a bit more!

"Scald it Flora" he commanded. Last time Scald had worked pretty well and he was hoping the same for this time around.

The water was heated to a fairly high temperature before she sent it at her opponent.

Spinel was again blasted free from the ice by heated water. He struggled back to his feet, visibly tired now.

"Let try and turn the tables! Ice Punch!" called Lyle. he was rather anxious for his pokemon, but trying not to show it.

Spinel's fist became wreathed in fist again as he rushed towards Flora as fast as his weary legs could take him.

A block of ice covered the poor Horsea. Squirming once more, but her efforts failed her. She was an immovable block of ice.

Spinel was quite happy to charge his fist with electricity before launching a punch at his opponent.

Spinel had kept his fist charged from the last attack, and it quickly shot out for another punch.

She wiggled more as she felt the ice break free a bit. Watching with a frozen expression as the Sableye missed his attack. At least she got a break from his bombardment.

Spinel's expression was almost comically shocked as he stumbled and missed what had to be the easiest target ever. He shook his head and stood up straight, trying to pretend that hadn't happened.

Lyle was rather disappointed too. Maybe his pokemon was more tired than he looked. He glanced at the frozen Horse and wondered if it was going to break free soon. Maybe he ought to try and play it safe. "Spinel, Ice Punch again."

Spinel perked. That might work! He took careful aim and sent a chilled fist in Flora's direction.
