The cold eyes of the man flickered in annoyance as more groggy faces stirred at his feet. "If you know what's good for you, you'll all keep your gaping maws shut tight, as I have no burden of thought to force them shut forever." he flexed his gauntleted hand menacingly, the metal crackling as he withdraw his fingers. "The others, hn." again he turned his attention back towards Cruor, dismissing the captives scuffling with a small wave of his fingers. "Quite possibly they could be in some form of danger, or in the process of turning against their own kind, from what I know. Either way, they're required. I don't believe Runa intends them any harm if they're true to their cause, but...." he glanced sideways down at the scufflers, his mouth in a frown that didn't betray any hint of emotion or what he really felt about this mission. "Well, sometimes there have to be casualties on the path towards order. Sometimes the good even get in the way, and have to disappear from the path. Anyways, we'll find out more once we get back to Poena Privus. We should be there soon."

"Ugh..." Aquene groaned as she came out of her forced-sleep. She didn't quite remember what she was doing, but what was worse, she couldn't even place where she was. That unknown... Uncertainty... She hated it with a passion. The young witch swore aloud even before her eyes adjusted enough to be able to see she wasn't alone.
Aquene tried to sit up properly, but then noticed her hands were bound. It was also the point in where she discovered something even worse... Unable to use her ice-flames. She then let out a constant stream of curses until she couldn't think of anymore. People were definitely not going to like hearing what she said, but who said she cared?
She finally decided to look around to see whom was around her. Most people, she had never seen before, but noticed that one girl seemed very familiar. Aquene, despite her situation, smiled crookedly. "Hey look... Cow-lover is here..."

More of them were waking up, and Xerxes took a look around at those he could see. The only ones that he recognized were Cedar and Kalypso. Other than being stuck in the same situation as he, they at least looked fine. No visible injuries, at least. That was something, he guessed. Still, he couldn't begin to put the pieces together for why they had been taken like this. He didn't know much of anything regarding the business of reapers.
He grinned at the armored blackheart that had replied to him. "Sounds much nicer actually," he said as he tried to sit up in a more comfortable position, which wasn't easy with his arms and legs bound. "Fresh air and all of that." He wasn't sure why he was taking back like this when he was terrified of what was going to happen to all of them. His nerves, maybe, were making him too chatty for his own good. He wouldn't put it past these blackhearts to make him be quiet if he couldn't find a way to shut his mouth and keep it shut. He really hated this helpless feeling eating at him.

Kalypso tried to listen to what the captors were talking about. She wanted to know why she had been kidnapped. Looking more around the van she saw Xerxes and Cedar. She was fortunate to sit next to Uaithine. When the young witchling had moved to put himself in the way of the captors and her and the others she smiled right back at him. She wasn't afraid no more. She had Uaithine and Xerxes here to protect her. She decided against trying to speak to any of her friends when one of the captors started to threatened everyone to silence.
She didn't understand why a blackheart was one of their captors. She tried to remember all the classes and studies and information she got about blackhearts. She wasn't sure but won't they should be protecting her and the others? She really should pay attention more in class. She didn't think she would have really need that information.

Mia kept glaring at their captors as they talked and, in one's case, shouted. Nothing of what they were saying made much sense, although it seemed to have to do with a kind. There were a lot of mononokes here, but given that those in the carriage were blackhearts, maybe this had something to do with majin instead. And speaking of blackhearts and reapers, she knew they occasionally bent the law or skirted the wrong side of it, but this didn't seem like something they would do. Forcibly demand people or order them around, maybe, but kidnapping? This seemed out of character.
The witchling's eyes softened, however, as a skunk mononoke shuffled over to her. Keeping one eye on the blackhearts, the girl gave her companion a small smile. "Yes, thanks, I'm fine. Instinctual reaction to being forcibly kept from any magic, particularly my animal, and all that," she murmured to the other. While still wary, speaking to the other witching had calmed the girl slightly and allowed her to rebalance a little. She felt more secure with a friendly and concerned face, no matter that they both seemed equally alarmed. Looking around, Mia also spotted Kalypso, a girl she had met and chatted with in the Academy's library early in the year.
Deciding to refrain from addressing those watching them directly, Mia watched keenly as the others began to wake up and interact. Her eyes narrowed as a particularly brash girl awoke and immediately began throwing out some very creative language, and as another feline mononoke seemed to nonchalantly chat cheekily with the guards. She tensed, watching for the reaction. The witching didn't know what she could do, but she'd be damned if either of those two got her, her kind companion, or any of the others into trouble because of their big mouths. Whatever was going on, it looked like it was going to be a long night.

He was not alone. That much was obvious to Lea at least as the snow leopard mononoke woke up with a soft growl rumbling at the back of his throat. Too many people and too many voices. It was tempting to ignore them all and just go back to sleep. So very tempting. He flicked an ear at the familiar tinkling of the bell that was always attached to Xerxes' ear. The other feline mononoke was here? Good. Maybe he could tell the others that they should be a little more considerate and seriously consider lowering their volume since someone was trying to get back to sleep here.
...
... oh. He had intended to stretch his limbs a little. An odd habit of his really whenever he was in the process of finally getting up, only to find that it was no longer possible. Not at this point in time and a long as well as hard look at both his wrists and ankles showed him exactly why. Bounds. Reaching into himself, he tried to shift his form into the feline predator that his ears and tail hinted at and then nothing.
Now that finally got his attention and he pushed himself up from the floor of the carriage, an irate look crossing his features as he tried to recollect how precisely he had landed up here in the first place and then it finally hit him. "Cedar..." He was with her though where and what they had been doing until this particular lapse in his memory still escaped him no matter how hard he tried. Casting a frantic gaze at the others who were in the carriage as well, he spotted a couple of familiar faces among the captured witchlings (Xerxes, Kalypso, Uaithne), the 2 Blackhearts whom he recognized from the battle at the Hallow's Eve Ball and finally the witch he had been seeking.
It wasn't easy but Lea eventually managed to inch his way towards Cedar despite the agonizingly slow pace he could manage in his current state, his hand shifting to give one of hers a squeeze to get her attention before smiling wryly at her. "You alright..?"

Scentana nodded as the bobcat girl spoke of her animal being more roused to anger due to their bindings. It was times like these she was glad she couldn't spray in her regular form. That would have made this a far more unpleasent ride. She was about to say something when some very colorful words poured out of another witch's mouth. The little skunk put her bound hands over her mouth and her face lit up in embarressment. Those were not nice words and certainly not allowed in her home.
Others were waking up who looked a bit older, perhaps they were trained witches and could help them escape? She also saw yet another mononoke wake. Something was definately up with so many of them being taken. At her current count there were four of them, three of them feline. Skunks could be mistaken for cats but really she thought her coloring and fluff would at least make her recognizable.
Sin didn't know but she scooted a bit closer to the bobcat girl, she seemed far braver than herself. Frankly she was terrified of what the two blackhearts would do to the smart mouthed cat and the cursing witch. She looked back to the bobcat adn whispers softly as their captors were distracted, "I'm Sin by the way. Do you remember being taken? I still can't recall how we got here."

Cruor watched their captives awaken and move around, all obviously distressed, but there hadn't been any hysterics... Yet. That was a good thing as the one thing he disliked almost as much as majins was wailing, sobbing, and other such dramatics which didn't get anyone anywhere. He listened to one of the girls swear up a storm and rolled his eyes; of course they had to pick one of the ones with a bad attitude. In all honesty he just wanted to be done with this particular mission so he could have a nice, stout drink and go to sleep; it had been a long night.
"Sacrifices are always necessary..." he murmured, crimson eyes staring intently at those on the floor of the carriage, distancing himself from them mentally; it wouldn't help anyone if he dwelled on it much longer. "Once we drop them off, we should grab a drink... Or go hunting. I need to blow off some steam."
Actually, hunting down and murdering majin and Witch Eaters sounded like a terrific idea at that point, especially after everything that had happened. Besides, the carriage was beginning to reek of fear and sweat, which simply made the ride even more unpleasant... For him t least. He was fairly certain that their captives weren't enjoying themselves very much. Then again, he supposed that they weren't supposed to, not if they were a threat. Finally, after a few moments of listening to them he let out a rather... Animalistic growl of annoyance at them, eyes narrowing.
"Keep quiet. You'll quickly find I'm not as nice as Sibelius."

Sibelius snorted back a laughter at the beast-like growl Cruor let out, standing up as the carriage slowed and came to a stop. The sound of a large, iron gate being unlocked and opened could be heard outside. "A hard drink sounds pretty nice about now, but unfortunately, I think we're tied to this bunch of ragamuffins for a while yet. Listen to him, kids. I'm not nice myself but this one can make me look like a daisy, given the right lighting. Anyways...it seems we're just about here. No funny business when we're getting out of the carriage, I don't exactly want to break any jaws but it's not like they won't ever heal if I have to, so..." It wasn't that he wanted to be violent, but sometimes necessity called for it. Besides...Sibelius was done playing the role of the hero. That book had been closed long, long ago, and he had come to learn now that his own judgment on what was for the better, or right and wrong, was too-far skewed to be of any use to anyone, least of all himself.
Light streamed into the carriage as the large door was opened, a ramp settling onto the ground as if the carriage had been made for the transportation of livestock. The blackheart gave Cruor a tap on the shoulder, gauntlet clinking against the metal to motion him off with him, then turned his attention back to the captives on the floor. "All of you, out. Try anything stupid, and you'll get a punishment befitting of your stupidity." His cold eyes narrowed as he demonstrated his intention, slamming his fist into an already half-crumbled pillar beside them, which dissolved into many small pieces of rubble from the impact. Being struck by Sibelius...was probably not a good thing to aim for.

The sudden jerk of the stopping carriage jolted Chanda out of unconsciousness and right into a panicked alertness. She knew she wasn’t where she was before, where she was supposed to be. The smells were all wrong. She had been alone before (or she had thought she was) and now she was surrounded by scents of other witches, majin, mononoke and the air that had been thick with the scent of coming rain was now choked with fear and uncertainty. The tiger mononoke snarled at her binds and the close quarters, the more wild part of her finding itself increasingly distressed and furious about the situation she was stuck in. It was difficult to not give into her more primal, animal urges to struggle and fight to flee from her captors. In fact she almost did give in, standing up in a quick motion only to have a wave of dizziness and nausea swim over her and force her back to her seat. “Nnnrgh.” As she took deep, slow breaths to keep herself from expelling the contents of her stomach everywhere she tried to remember what had happened. She was meditating and then…there had been a noise and a whiff of…something? Fragments of memories fluttered just out of grasp and the most she could make out was that something bad had happened. But from her Blackheart captor’s talk of jaw breaking she didn’t need the past to really ascertain that. But why her? And, even more puzzling…why them? Chanda looked at the rest of those kidnapped. Witchlings, a good deal of them mononoke sure, but mononoke were human. Why did the Blackhearts want to take humans? And witchlings even! Young and defenseless…it made no sense. The ramp settled onto the ground and, despite the order, Chanda stayed sitting right on her pretty little behind. ******** if she was going to march along right into…well…whatever they had planned for her. If they wanted her so bad they’d have to take her by force...again and again and again ad infinitum until she lay dead. And besides, she needed a moment to try and compose herself, to settle her nervous inner beast and, ultimately, to try and think of a way to get at least the witchlings safely out of their clutches. As a witchling she had had others stand up to protect her in her time of peril, now it was her turn to be the protector.

Mia rolled her eyes at the obnoxious older girl, feeling bad for the shock it obviously gave the girl next to her. She gave the other mononoke a small smile again as the girl moved closer to her. It seemed she was worse off fear-wise than it had first seemed. "It's nice to meet you, Sin," she replied, "even in these unpleasant circumstances. My name's Mia." At her next question, though, Mia shook her head. "No, I remember starting the walk home to the Academy from my parent's house, but after that, there's just...nothing. What about you?" she asked.
A chill went down the girl's spine as she heard someone mutter about sacrifices. There was definitely something serious going on here, something very dark. Mia twitched as they were all growled at by one of the Blackhearts, a mononoke by the sound of it. The other then spoke, at least making no illusions that they weren't here to be their friends. The witchling's eyes widened at his display of power. They were in way over their heads, no matter what anyone else thought.
Mia looked around after a second, steeling herself as no one else seemed to be moving. If they waited around too long, it was liable to anger their captors, and she wouldn't put it past either of them to start tossing them bodily out of the carriage. With a deep breath, the girl used the wall behind her to push herself to her feet. "Just follow behind me," she whispered to Sin. "We'll be all right." She didn't necessarily know if that was true, but having someone to be concerned for and look out for was centering the girl, grounding her and allowing her to act and think in this insane situation.
The young mononoke picked her way around the other captives, shuffling slightly oddly because she was still bound. She reached the front of the carriage and scrambled down the ramp somewhat awkwardly. She held her head high and her gaze was steady throughout, but she didn't look at either of their kidnappers, no matter how much she wanted to. Such a thing could easily be taken as a challenge or a provocation, so Mia simply moved to the side of the ramp instead and waited for everyone else to clamber out of the carriage. Her ears swiveled from side to side and her large eyes roved over the scene in front of her, trying to ascertain where they were and what was going on.

Sin was glad for a friend, obviously a braver one than herself. Then again she thought a bobcat was far more vicious than a skunk. She even eeped a bit when one blackheart, the dragon, growled at them; then the other showed his power. She was just a witchling who prefered potion making over spell casting. She could cast them but not with any proficency. Thats why she stuck to potions; easy to use and simple. Then she looked back at Mia, "I was walking home from the bakery I work at. Everything else is a blur."
She another mononoke awaken at the jolt of the carriage, another feline; a tiger from the look of it. Maybe her captors thought it funny to take her given a nickname for her kind is a polecat. She looked to Mia as the girl began to get up and nodded, "Ok..." she whispered and followed the example. Her tail, puffed out in fear, wrapped around her waist now. She followed Mia out the door and down the ramp.
She was a little bit more graceful in walking down the ramp, being timid at the moment didn't make for rushed movements. She huddled next to Mia as she looked around. So....this was the home of the reapers. It felt so....horrible. So full of fear and power. She sniffed a bit, her sense of smell rather good, and even that smelled like a dark fear. What was going to happen to them?

Uaithne had to admit that the threats that were tossed out toward them by the Blackheart was enough to send a chill up his spine, the last thing that he wanted was to see him take a swing at anyone in this carriage let alone the girls. He'd been raised with a strict knowledge that a man was never supposed to raise a hand to a female, the idea that this guy would do so grated on him a bit and made his brilliant green eyes narrow darkly. He'd say that he was no gentleman but that was more then a little obvious given that he'd had a hand in kidnapping near a dozen witches and witchlings. No funny business while getting out of the carriage, another obvious thing. If he were without his magic then it was most likely everyone else was as well... they were being herded about like little more then sheep and that was something he didn't care for in the least.
As the carriage was opened up Uaithne gave a wince, finding the light to be a bit too bright. He gave his eyes a moment to adjust before dragging himself up to his feet. Shifting in place he offered his bound hands to Kalypso to help her up to her feet, "Stay close to me." He murmured to her, the first words that the normally quiet witchling had said since waking up in this predicament. He wanted to keep his friends safe but he could only do so much, luckily, and he thought it in the weakest sense of the word, there were enough of them that they could pair off and at least attempt to watch each other's backs. Without his magic there was only so much he could do but he meant to do all that he could to keep Kalypso away from these scary guys. It was a thought that was only compounded when one of them proved how serious he was by knocking a pillar all but to dust with a single punch.

Cow-lover. Aquene was there. The witch had thought that this couldn't get worse, but Aquene just had to make an appearance. She was the one that had a fit filled with curses. "Obviously they don't have standards of quality for who their taking." She sniffed over in her directly. If there wasn't a couple between her and the other witch she would have used all her force to kick the girl right out of the carriage.
Cedar straightened feeling a hand sliding along hers and giving it a squeeze. She glanced over her shoulder to see Lea, and a flood of relief passed over her. She nodded at him lightly, glancing over her other friends to make sure they were alright, and she leaned back against Lea's arm. "We're being taken to Poena Privus." She said gently to him. And just as she said that the carriage had stopped the Black heart from the Halloween ball gave a display of his 'manly-ness'. She scoffed softly working her way up and keeping close too Lea. It wasn't much but being near him and her friends was a small comfort. Giving the two Black hearts a definite sniff, she made her way out of the carriage.

[ THIS IS A PROXY POST FOR KYRIEKO ]
She stood silently off to the side, narrowed cyan eyes almost glowing as she scowled from her perch atop one of the many broken pillars. Her tail flicked irritatedly behind her as she looked down at those that had just arrived from the carriage. And the Blackheart's ushering them in. Even worse, she recognized several of the young ones. One in particular was making her heart war with her mind, even as her eyes were able to make out his form, confirming what her nose has told her.
Shaden did not like this. But they had their orders. However she was very confused by them and had no idea what was intended to happen to these ones.
Why did he have to be captured?
Her heart swelled painfully, eyes falling upon a certain boy again. She kept herself out of sight but on guard should anyone do something stupid - like try to run away and get lost within Poena Privus. And she was trying, very hard, to find a way to distance her mind from what lay before her. And what could happen to them.
Shifting her weight slightly, hand tightening on the scythe she held more for comfort now then anything else, Shaden let her gaze travel to the two Blackhearts she knew. Cruor. Sibelius.
I am a Reaper! I must do my duty and follow orders.
But Athir is down there...
Shaden gritted her teeth, knuckles white from the grip she held her weapon. Her eyes flickered around to the other shadows, similar to her, watching and on standby. Then fell to Cruor once again. She was curious how the other Mononoke felt. Was he conflicted as she was at this time?
Focus. I must focus.
