Teen Entry One!
Many months had passed since the “Big Awful” had happened, and as much as it irked her Mitsuru had more or less accepted her changes. It was clear that she couldn’t go back to being a Shaymin anymore she could being a little person, so, she might as well be happy! Or happy-ish.
Looking around the home meadow she realized that things were coming together nicely. What had once held a small burrow for a small Shaymin now held an oddly mismatched shrine and a flock of Pidgey. They came in regularly to assist her in exchange for herbal medicinal treatment she could offer to their members. And affection; it was no secret that more than a few cuddled up with her at night inside next to the fire, and she loved every bit of it.
Though she was unaware of it, her natural aura helped to purify the area, and though she wasn’t exactly sure why patrons had started coming, they reported to her that it made them feel rejuvenated being in the area. Thus, the shrine had been born. Originally it was only a pretty idea for her to stay in, when she’d asked the Poke’mon of the forest to help her move the old building, but apparently it held significance to the humans. They gave her offerings of money, food, and clothing in exchange for something she couldn’t explain. Whatever the reason, it made her feel good to see so many smiling faces. They really did seem happy, which made her happy.
Mitsuru walked to the edge of the walk path, just under the Torii gate, and looked back at her shrine. The weeds ran wild, a tree stood as the west wall, and the roof was more hastily tossed on branches thatched together with shoe strings than actual roof. The whole place gave off an indescribable feel of inadequacy, and yet, the comfort from within was untold. Even now she had a warm fire roaring in a fireplace one of the patrons had helped her to install, and she could hear the chatter of the Poke’mon inside. Some were injured, some were ill, and some just wanted company. All were welcome within the forest shrine, and as she sat the end of her staff upon the pavement Mitsuru knew that she would always be here for them as a veritable haven in the woods.

Ilmari, Masahiko, & Mitsuru (Rp)
Moose: With the closing of Winter came the budding signs of Spring. Little nubbins of plants flittered around as Bellsprout happily mingled in their ranks, happily soaking up the sun as Starly fluttered in flocks through the open skies. IT was a peaceful scene with much promise after such a cruel winter.
Mitsuru’s bare feet squished through mud as she traversed the mountainous terrain. She had traded her well-kept cold weather gear for a simple white sun dress and little else. Well, a once white dress. It now held as many grass and mud stains as an outdoor rug, but she paid little mind. After leaving the shrine in the hands of her Infernape friend, Mitsuru had set out on her yearly pilgrimage. It was hard to leave this time; she knew she was leaving Truffles, but surely the younger girl could handle herself for a while?
“Why have you stopped?”
Mitsuru turned around to see the Landorus boy close to her heels. Ever since he had come to her she had allowed him to stay, seeing as he was so helpful and polite, but he was adamant to come with her. “Just thinking,” she smiled, and reached out to tussle his hair. “Did you ever pick a name?”
“Not yet,” He grumbled and reached up on reflex to fix his hair. It was a strange thing, being partially human. The Kami wasn’t sure that he liked it very much. Wearing clothes was a new process for him, but thankfully there had been enough of his size left behind in the old dwelling. They were a little thread bare, but a solid fit. She had warned him it was going to be a long journey, one with a lot of danger, but what was another adventure to him?
Besides, there was no way the Landorus was going to let her go on her own! Mitsuru was his Mistress, and he her…squire? Page? And boy did her eyes really shine in this sun…clearing his throat, he shrugged the back on his shoulders to a better position and kept moving. “We’ve been walking for a week; are you sure you know where we’re going?”
“…Nope, not a clue.” She chirped, and he felt his mouth droop.
Sabra Spring was a beautiful season full of budding life and for Ilmari he could even feel his own body thriving with it. Winter had been far too long and harsh this year and the whimsicott was so thankful to see the sunlight again on the green land. I could only take so much snow. Still though he wondered how much change the new season would bring. Would things be different?
As was he found himself taking a vacation of sorts. How long had it been exactly since he left the city? He still couldn't believe that he was traveling through the forest like this. Would someone see me as a stalker for this? Ilmari kept pacing back and forth every rest to try to bring up the courage to reveal himself, but it failed each time. Just like before he found himself watching over that precious girl from the shadows.
It definitely was easier hiding as a pokemon though. With a human body flying through the air or hiding in the leaves of plants was impossible. All he could do was pick up the path that Mitsuru left and follow behind. How funny that his vacation to go gather flowers and discover new species throughout the forests had turned into this sort of mission.
All because he had visited the shrine and had heard the news of Mitsuru's pilgramage.
Was it because he would miss her too much or because it was just too easy to worry about her?
Goodness only knew what trouble she might find so Ilmari had decided to stick close. It was a win-win...he could get his new plants and sketches done while keeping a sharp eye out on the wandering preistess.
Moose Landorus wasn’t as blind to their follower as Mitsuru. He could sense the presence of another so close, but he paid it no mind since the figure seemed content to following. Still, it made him wary. The attraction of two such as them would no doubt bring both the good, and the bad; it was the second that kept him on edge.
Once he had even spotted a shock of fluffy white hair, which made him frown. Was it…? Arceus, it wasn’t that Whimsicott was it? Bristling, he made sure to stay close to Mitsuru and when she offered her hand to the boy he took it with a flush of pride.
“It’s okay, it’s only a little bit further.” Taking his tense nature as a sign of fatigue, Mitsuru crooned to the boy and made sure to smile more. In truth she was getting tired as well, but the thrill of being surrounded by Gardenia blossoms once more kept her moving forward. Oh, what she wouldn’t give to bask in their glory!
But…what was her friend looking at? Stopping, she looked over her shoulder, her thick cascading hair flipping around to hit the Landorus boy in the face. “What are you looking at? I keep seeing you flipping around.”
“N-nothing my lady. It is nothing.” The last was almost a threat to the unseen force. It had BETTER be nothing.
Turning around once more she looked at him, and frowned. “You. Are. Lying.” With each word she poked his one of his three horns, then his nose. “If someone’s out there, you can come out! If you don’t want to that’s fine too, but we’ve got food.”
Sabra If her newest helper was close then Ilmari should have felt more relaxed with the situation. Yet for some reason seeing another poke-human near Mitsuru like that put him further on edge. Would that guy be enough protection or would he make more trouble? Then again ti could have just been the closeness of the two which put the whimsicott on edge. Was it truly that easy to be there for Mitsuru in the open like that? Each time the boy flipped to stare down a bush that Ilmari ducked behind the whimsicott felt his face flush.
He was in the right to follow....right?
It was when he had finally caught up again to the pair that he realized that he might have been too obvious. Flipping his body to rest behind a tree Ilmari listened quietly as the wind brought hints of conversation from the pair towards him. Landorous really had caught sight of him again then. The teen bit the inside of his cheek thoughtfully before being startled by Mitsuru's open suggestion. Should he?
I suppose if I don't come out now then I really will seem like some sort of creeper. As if he wasn't enough of one already. Dammit, he couldn't help it. Worrying about Mitsuru was really a bother for him...but he coudln't seem to just let her alone in times like these. Finally after the longest pause Ilmari came from aroudn the trees with his hands up. A backpack set on his back with papers spilling from the sides and a basket of flowers and other such plants hung from a hand, "Alright I've been caught."
Flushing lightly he nodded a greeting, "I happened to be in the area gathering plants for my shop when I heard you two coming through." A little light lie...he had been gathering flowers, but it had just been behind their own trail for the past couple days or so. Lowering his hand he held out a small bouquet of wild flowers to Mitsuru, "Call that a trade for some food then?"
Moose Landorus wouldn't have let go of Mitsuru's hand if she had ripped it from him. She wouldn't, of course, but keeping her so close at hand was what kept her safe and him sane. Still, his thick tail thumped on the ground as his odd eyes searched the general area as if awaiting the figure to spring out at them. "We should lea-"
"Oh, Ilmari!" Mitsuru squealed. She laughed and turned to look at Landorus. "You remember- Oh, you wouldn't have met him. This is my friend." What a pleasant surprise this was. Mitsuru let go of Landorus' small hand, much to his displeasure, and padded closer to the Whimsicott. "What are you doing out here? It's so far from town..." She moved around him to see what was on his back. Tentatively she poked at the papers, moving back when one started to slip out before she pushed it back.
"You happened to be here." Landorus stated dryly. He crossed his arms over his chest with a raised brow. "A week away from town, in the woods, on the side of a Mountain." Yeah, very likely.
"Maybe he's come to see the Gardenia flowers like we are." Mitsuru gasped and took up the flowers with a sweet smile. She held the bouquet in a close, but gentle grip and sniffed he flowers. "Oh Ilmari, they're gorgeous. You didn't have to make a trade, though. I would have helped you willingly. Landorus, would you mind breaking out the food? We can rest for a while."
Grumbling, the child set about making a little campsite.
Sabra Mitsuru's reaction definitely was worth his discovery. Smiling warmly towards her Ilmari had a moment of triumph as she let go of the boy's hand, "Good to see you too, Mitsuru." He laughed lightly, to cover the nerves of her question, "It is isn't it? But you can't find really beautiful flowers in town like you can out here." His gaze was on her as he spoke and the smile was far from hiding his feelings towards the girl.
"Isn't fate odd?" Ilmari questioned lightly to hide the small flush on his cheeks at the accusation by Landorous, "As is it seems to be a good thing that I am out here." A great thing. If only he had the nerve to have stepped out earlier. Still Ilmari was finding himself relaxing more as Mitsuru buzzed around him. If she was fine with him being here then why should he have worried so much?
"I've been meaning to make sketches of flowers and plants in the area so with spring I figured it was the best time." Especially with the Gardenia flowers out as well. He really was forutnate that he caught wind of Mitsuru's trail now, "Still I think flowers look better with you than on me." He replied lightly, "Has your traveling been fair?"
He looked her over to check and make sure she wasn't injured from any accident he may have missed. Seeing that she seemed fine Ilmari grinned, "Seems like you have plenty of energy still." He truly had missed her.
Moose Had she not been as naive and pure as she was Mitsuru would have seen what Landorus saw. The way that the Whimsicott was smiling at her made his brow furrow. He wasn't sure why it didn't settle well with him; surely she should have a chance at happiness, yes? ...Just not with this man.
"Fate has a way of bringing people together." Mitsuru answered easily. She couldn't help bouncing on the balls of her feet when around Ilmari. He made her jittery, and gave her already energized soul a zap. Sometimes she even felt warm, like she was sick! "Would you mind showing me your sketches? I would very much like to see them." She turned to go help Landorus with the site so he wouldn't be able to see her fever cheeks.
"It has been," Landorus answered for her. He had the fire pit already made up beside a single fallen log. "The weather has been fair to us, and I cannot see the other Kami disturbing this journey. They owe far too much to afford another blunder." They all did, but his 'brothers' were not the ones without a home.
"Can't you feel it?" Mitsuru shrugged her pack off and sat it next to the log along with her new flower bouquet. "I have a good feeling about this year. This is going to be the year that I see them!" Even as she spoke her flowers seems to brighten, the petals strengthening in the sunlight. Little sparks of energy fluttered away from them like pollen.
Sabra Fate did really have a way of doing that. Ilmari flushed lightly as he remember his own past as a little cottonee. If only Mitsuru could realize just how much she had touched his life from such a long time ago. At first he had been so sad to get separated from her, but now that he had gotten his own star and was a poke-human as well life was different. He could actually be someone to her rather than a small passerby. Not that he thought he was good enough for her! Nope, nope, nope…yet seeing how happy she was to see him really touched his heart. The feelings that she brought in him tempted him to be greedy and to actually try to be more than a shadowed protector. “My sketches?” Ilmari reached behind him to take his backpack from his shoulders, “Sure, but I hope you aren’t expecting anything too fancy.” He teased lightly though he made a small note to take out some of the sketches since they weren’t all just the flowers he had seen on this trip. Others were slightly more personal and he would die if she saw them. As if just talking to her didn’t heat his face enough! “I’m glad to hear that then.” Turning to Landorus Ilmari frowned…the other kami? There were parts of the poke-human that reminded him of the summer’s past situation, but surely not. Then again even Mitsuru had changed from those mysterious stars so why wouldn’t other legendaries? This world just keeps getting stranger by the day. Placing his own backpack next to Mitsuru’s Ilmari smiled, “I’m certain that with you nearby the flowers won’t be able to stop blooming.” For her he truly hoped that was the case. Mitsuru’s happiness was just so contagious that he couldn’t help beaming himself, “As it is can I help with anything?” Still though as he asked the question the whimsicott found himself staring at her. She was so beautiful like this out in the open wilderness away from the human cities. It truly was mesmerizing.
Moose "Oh, didn't you hear me? Your sketches." Mitsuru made sure the last was spoken louder. Maybe it was his bushy hair that was causing him problems? She vaguely wondered if she put a stick in it if she would ever find it again. "I'm sure they're much better than you make them out to be."
Landorus got the fire raging and put a few pre-prepared kabobs to the flame. Most were vegetarian with a little fish peppered in, but his were entirely meat. He looked to Ilmari, nodding his head with a harumph, and went back to his work. There was no disguising his distaste for the other male, and he had no desire to start a conflict infront of the Lady.
Looking through his sketches, Mitsuru had to smile. "You have a much better talent than you let on, Ilmari." She let her fingers trace over them lightly, imaging each petal vividly in her mind. "Oh, it's not the flowers that I'm hoping to see." She giggled, closed the book and held it to her chest. "It's the other Shaymin. My kind gather when the Gardenia flowers bloom. I've heard all the tales, and the legends..." The Shaymin was wistful, but there was an edge of sadness to her tone. "...but I've been going for years, and they've never been there."
Landorus looked up and handed her a kabob. "Then this year will be the exception, my lady. Your power is strong, and with ours combined we can draw them to the area. You are not alone." Of course he gave a pointed stare at Ilmari. He wished the other to bug off, but if it kept the smile on her face he could tolerate it. For now.
