Jordan considered the question for a moment, but if Rep had told Rin, he really didn't see any point in denying it; the secrecy was mostly for Rep's benefit, anyway. He smiled wryly. "Is this where you tell me not to break your brother's heart or dire consequences will result?" he asked.

"Well, not his heart so much as him as a whole." She nodded.
"Not really dire consequences either but definitely burning hatred and little time to do much else but take it out on you and Harrison." She smiled slightly but at least genuinely.
A thought seemed to overtake her and she felt it was important to add, "You aren't like him. Harrison I mean."

"It's not public knowledge, and it won't be for a while, Rep's still figuring himself out and isn't comfortable with everyone knowing," Jordan said quietly. "So you'll have to forgive my caution. Don't worry. We'll take good care of him." He grinned.
"Oh? I take it you talked to him first?" Jordan carefully didn't smirk. "How'd that go?"

"Not well. Not well at ALL. He's so rude and gross. Tried talking to me with his mouth full of red blobby food. Then walked off on me mid conversation to have a lewd one on his phone with Rep instead." She snatched up her juice box again to slurp rather furiously at the memory.
The slurping settled down though once her box nearly collapsed entirely on itself.
"He's not getting my okay, that's for sure. You, though..." She eyed Jordan over thoughtfully.
"He really really likes you, even when he was still denying the living s**t out of it to me." She frowned slightly, "You can easily hurt him you know. But at least you seem more... uh..."
She spun her hand around limply a bit, clearly trying to find the words, "Civilized?"

Jordan laughed. "Harrison doesn't like being cornered. I bet you got the extra prickly version."
He smiled slightly at the explanation. "I'm not going to hurt him deliberately, and gonna try to avoid accidentally too." He shrugged a little. "Under all that yelling and posturing, Rep's a pretty decent guy. At least, every time it's come down to a decision on something important, he's done the right thing. I like him."
Then his smile turned devious. "Civilized, huh."

"Well, I know he is, or I wouldn't be so concerned about him. If all he was was that front he puts on, I'd never even bother with having him this close."
She smiled feebly at Jordan, "I am glad to hear you've seen it too though. I was worried who he really was wasn't part of this equation."
She leaned in her voice even more hushed, "That all it was was sex while he was thinking it was more than that."
She backed up again to eye her second juice box as she idly noted, "Not sure about Harrison though, I got the impression that he thinks it might just be a game. A fun raunchy game. Plus, the d**k insulted my abilities."
She stabbed the second juice box pretty hard with the straw before settling back down again and looking back at Jordan, "Yes, civilized?"

"I figured you probably saw the same thing," Jordan nodded. "I can reassure you on that front. Sex didn't actually come into the equation at all until recently. We were friends before that." He leaned his chin on his hand. "You have to read between the lines with Harrison too. He's a d**k to everyone. I think that's part of why he and Rep get along so well."
"Mm." Noncommittal and neutral. A pause. "Though you know, what you said earlier, I didn't really think it'd be anything special either. You should really try things before dismissing them out of hand."

"Maybe, but it still concerns me." She frowned at the talk of Harrison and started to sip her second juice rather eagerly until...
"What I said earlier?" She repeated. She could't really immediately remember what he could be referring to so quietly sipped her drink again as she tried mulling over the possibilities.

"I'd expect you to be concerned. Makes you a good friend," Jordan agreed.
He didn't answer the question, but just smiled and waited for her to mentally look over the conversation and pick out what he was referring to.

Rin eventually and quite suddenly stopped slurping her juice to just STARE at Jordan. STARE like his face had just turned neon pink with purple polka-dots, "You mean, uhhh... but... I'm a... I have a better opening than that?"
She was redder than the red she had been earlier. She had no ******** clue how to respond to that.
<Is he offering?>
And suddenly she started to look like she was going to pass out there with the blazing string of colours she was starting to cycle through.

"Just saying. Liking bananas doesn't necessarily mean you don't like oranges." Jordan sipped his tea calmly, as though Rin wasn't turning all sorts of interesting shades of color across the table.

"But.. but Rep saiiiiddddd!" She squealed in horror before quite literally face planting in the table and mentally just sobbing at Byr, 'Whyyy, whyyyyyyyyy?!'

"What... what the hell are oranges?.." She muttered feebly from her face plant, refusing to look up at the man at this point. Stupid ******** weapons. They're such monsters.

"What did he say?" Jordan asked interestedly.
"Oh, the oranges are just a metaphor," he explained. "I could get into detail if you'd rather, I just thought you might prefer the euphemistic version." The gleam in his eye suggested he might be teasing, if Rin wasn't too preoccupied with squirming embarrassment to notice.

"Nggh, nothing just that like... only bananas." She rubbed her face against the table miserably.
"No.. I'm good. I'd rather not know in gory detail how I'm a ******** orange." She eventually seemed to catch her breath and calm down a bit the more Byr decided to stop adding his two cents.
She sat up and sighed, still looking like she'd just run a marathon, "Stupid ******** weapons, am I right?"

"Oh, I totally understand. Ferros likes to see if he can make me blush in public," he said solemnly.
