Finally, Sedi smiled. He was glad to have helped Kawani, and decided that being genuinely worried about the possibility of being like Madoa Waya alone was sufficient to prove that they were very unlike her. He would continue to remind her of this as necessary.
"Happy to help," he said, but he shook his head when she asked what he was up to, "Not much is going on today, I was just hanging out near home."

"Hmmm..." Kawani pondered for a moment, her eyes bouncing from the ground to Sedi. "Wanna go see if we can find Dad? Give him a little company? He probably needs it." And having two of them, it would be harder to dismiss them.

"Hmmm," he repeated, pausing when she suggested going off to find Sado and keep him company. He, too, thought of how it would be harder to reject an offer from two of them compared to just one showing up. And it would be easier for them to insist if someone was there to support them.
"Sounds like a good idea," he agreed with a nod, "I don't think he's gone far from the clan today, he shouldn't be hard to find."

Kawani smiled. "Great! Let's go ambush him, then, just like we did when we were cubs." She nudged Sedi with her should and turned to go, happy that at least everything was going in a more positive route. She just had to remind herself that she was in charge of what happened to her, and not her fears.
