“Practice makes perfect, right?” Molly echoed. “Oh…um…alright! Don’t worry though, Miss Candace, I can’t get too creative like you do!” She giggled. “Thrusting is what my weapon does, and I’m not really supposed to swing it…” She watched as Candace managed to knock the creature down.
The Misty rushed, looking to lance it while it was on the floor, but as soon as she tried to jab her weapon into it, it dissolved into Mist and reformed. “Ack! Solid when it’s not convenient!”

Thrusting.
Thrusting was what her weapon did.
Candace stopped to just stare at Molly. Thrust it, don't swing it. It was Molly, so she knew there was no hidden meaning behind it, but Candace still couldn't help but snicker. She grinned. "That's a good girl."
It was pretty amazing seeing the thing reform though. Amazing and annoying. Candace sighed, throwing herself at it to keep it away from Molly. One of its arms popped off its body and flew at the redhead.
Gotta be kidding me.

Molly looked over at Candace as she stopped and stared. “…Um…is there something wrong, Miss Candace?” The trainee then beamed, happy to hear the praise, and turned her attention back to the fight.
She gasped as the older hunter threw herself at the enemy, and then looked startled as an arm flew off and hit her. Molly yelped, and out of reflex swung her lance at the arm, knocking it back at the monster. It was enough, though, as her weapon started to hum. “Charged attack is coming, Miss Candace!” Molly warned, straightening out her lance.

A charged attack? Perfect. Candace grinned. "That's my girl, hit it hard!" She kicked it down to the ground again, pinning it to the floor with her boot. The creature shrieked and flailed, unable to get up.

The drill bit of her lance whirled to life, the sound of a metallic scream filling the air.
“Roger that!” Molly cried, and the rush of battle adrenaline and the satisfaction of working together made driving her charged weapon into the creature all too satisfying. It was nice to see a good chunk taken out of it.

The scream made her wince, pressing her hands against her ears. Damn! It wasn't as bad as the flaming pinball of death but were all lances like that? That's insane! She made sure to stay out of the way though as the lance came up and shanked the creature good. Candace grinned. Good girl, Molly. You've been getting help. Hopefully soon she'd be promoted to Intermediate, too! She would love to see the girl promoted. She deserved it.
Candace dug her heel harder into the creature as it tried to get up. This time she used the talon on her heel to really pin it. "I've got it, keep going."

Molly pulled back as her lance stopped spinning, smiling as they seemed to put a good dent into the creature and its antics. “ Got it!” The trainee answered, reaching forward with her lance once more to jab it. The weapon grazed the creature, but still absorbed the FEAR once more. “ Slowly, but surely!” HP: 32/40

"Slow and steady wins the race, right?" Candace laughed. But inside her head was filled with hisses and whispers. This was going too slow. It would go faster if Candace fought it, if she attacked. Molly was too weak for this. She couldn't handle it. Candace winced, rubbing the side of her head. She was shoved off the creature and nearly fell, managing to slam her foot against one of its legs. It fell to one knee, shrieking.

“ Um, I think!” Molly replied. “ Or so they say…” Her brows furrowed. The young woman gasped as the other Mist Hunter was shoved. “ Are you alright?” She cried out, hesitating as Candace forced it down to one knee. HP: 31/40

Candace frowned. This as going too slow, and Molly was having issues. It was nothing against the girl, just maybe Candace should step up and let her take a break. "Oh yeah I'm fine. It hasn't harmed me even a little bit...here, let me take over a bit. Just to knock it down a few pegs." She gave her foot a little twist on the creature's leg and turned her body, bringing up her leg to give the creature a hard slice against its shoulder. It shrieked, throwing the woman off it and sending her into the wall.
"I'm okay!" She called out before Molly could worry, rubbing the back of her shoulder as she pushed off the wall. Damn, that thing hit kind of hard.

Molly was sure it wasn’t anything personal, but she still felt terrible. Let me take over. Because she couldn’t do it right? She couldn’t do anything right… The sound of Candace being thrown into the wall though snapped her out of her downward spiraling thoughts. Stupid, stupid! She needed to be paying attention! Instead of acting like a Life, Molly decided now the least she could do was cover for Candace like she was covering for her. Before the creature could go and slam the older Mist into the wall again, Molly tore inbetween the two, holding up her lance and successfully blocked the attack. She looked back over at Candace, and offered the woman a smile. “ Just like the Antarctic, Miss Candace! I’ll be your platform if you need me to! I’m ready!” HP: 31/40

As Molly defended her, Candace looked surprised. She was going to Moon instead of Life? That was cool. It actually worked out because that just meant she could have a Moon to defend her without bothering anyone and making Harrison mad again! She grinned, nodding to Molly.
"I'll keep that in mind." But how? This place had a ceiling and walls unlike the open outdoors in the Antarctic.

Molly smiled again, but yelped as the creature made another strike at them.
The Misty was caught a bit off guard, the creature ended up grazing the older Mist Hunter. “Ack! I’m so sorry, Miss Candace!” Molly cried, shoving her lance forward now to push the creature back after the attack. She needed to keep an eye on it…

Now it was Molly’s turn to say, “It’s fine! Hang in there, Miss Candace, we can do this!” That being said, Molly moved to put herself between Candace and the monster again, more than effectively stopping it from laying another misty mitten on her.
