"No need to thank me. It's no trouble at all. It's good to have some company from time to time. I get lonely living here all by myself," She said as she walked on toward the base of the mountain where her cave was. "Why is my tail so strange right? That's what you want to ask?"

Hadn’t she said there was a tribe nearby? Why wasn’t she part of it? Dar really wanted to walk next to her and put a wing over her when she mentioned being lonely. He knew all about that and didn’t want her to be lonely. She was far too nice for that. He blushed and coughed. “Ah well. Yes… I did, but I didn’t want to offend you.. ”

"It's alright. Most haven't meet any or many like my kind before. Like I said they live up the mountain further. We are called sled dogs and just like your wings are unique yet normal for you so is my tail. My fur is a lot thicker and my tail is shorter so that I can keep warmer in the freezing climates that I can live in."She said with a smile while looking back at him. 'I've only meet a couple like you. Not to many pass by up here." She glanced up at the sky and knew night would be upon them soon.

He chuckled happy that he hadn’t offended her. Sled dogs, that was certainly an interesting way to describe them. He wasn’t sure what it ment but Dar wasn’t curios now that the at least had something to call Celen. Perhaps there were a lot of other foxes like Celen, but then why was she out here alone? He followed her gaze up at the still light sky and wasn’t sure what she was looking at. “What did you mean others like me?” He wondered if she meant phims but didn’t want to simply assume, besides he liked her voice.

His voice pulled her out of her thoughts about the night and sky and how much time was left. "Hmm? Oh I mean with the wings. Though some had different types of wings and some didn't at all. I heard them be called normal but I didn't venture close enough to really interact with them. Just over hear things from time to time." She said before continuing to walk. She wanted to make it home before dark.

Following her Dar was curious. “Why wouldn’t you talk to them. You seem very nice and I’m sure they would have been nice to you.” He smiled and stretched out his wings while he walked to sort himself back into place. He looked at them having never once considered his wings made him abnormal. They were just part of him. Just like Celen’s tail was part of her. Folding his wings back he picked up the pace since Celen was a fast walker.

Celen shrugged. " I don't I guess you can say I'm kind of shy in big groups. Friendly I am but I'm not a big fan of groups. Besides the one looked like he would eat anyone that approached and he seemed to be in a bad temper." Celen commented glancing back as Dar messed with his wings before catching up. They were almost to her home though she wanted to look for more berries and herbs she didn't think she would get a chance with the approaching storm.

Not saying anything Dar pondered over her words. Well not all groups were nice that didn’t just make them mean if they seemed it. Dar had several lovely conversations with foxes he was later told were actually very scary. Still he supposed that was how he was. Keeping up with Celen Darn felt a change in the air. It was colder and felt too light. Shivering he shied his mind from thoughts of the weather and wondered how far exactly Celen was going

The had made it to a few feet before her homes entrance and she glanced at it and than back at him. She wasn't sure how well he would fit. "Um You will have to fold your wings and crawl in first that way you will fit. There is a storm coming and I didn't want you to get caught in it."

He looked at the entrance. It really was tiny he’d have to tuck his wings in and hold his breath to enter. “Alright as long as you’re ok with letting me in your den. If you’re uncomfortable with a stranger in your den I can sleep outside storm or no. I don’t want you to feel uncomfortable at all Celen.” Dar’s ears flopped as he shook his head with his enthusiasm. If she didn't like groups she might not want a guest.

Celen was appalled by the idea of him sleeping outside in the on coming storm. she shook her head rapidly in a no. "Oh no no no. I couldn't let you sleep out in the storm. You would freeze to death during the night. If anyone is to sleep outside it would be me. I'm much more capable of handling it." As she said it she really took it into consideration. It really wouldn't hurt her to sleep in it. Her fur was so think it would barely bug her. Just waking up in the morning covered in snow would be a bit annoying. "No please go ahead and sleep in my den."

Listening to the vehemence in her voice Dar nodded meekly. “Alright. I just didn’t want to put you out of your den.” He gave her a smile and then bumped his head against her the way an innocent kit would show affection to a friend. Then he scrunched down and shimmed into the den keeping his wing tight close to his body. Celen was right this was a tight fit for him he even keeping his wing close. Still it was incredibly warm as he moved in. The whole place smelled of the other fox. It was soft and delicate, but noticeable.

Celen blushed as Dar bumped his head against hers. She hadn't expected that. No, what she expected him was saying alright thanks than crawling into her den. She stood outside glancing back from him crawling in to the sky and the fast approaching storm. She looked back at him and asked "You alright in there?"

From inside the den he could hear Celen asking about his condition. Smiling to himself even though no one else could see he responded as he found a comfortable position. “Yes I’m alright. You were right getting in was a tight squeeze but I’m alright and quite comfortable.” He wondered how long it would be before she came in. If a storm was coming he hoped soon.

"Yes even though smaller isn't the most comfortable it does keep heat in very well especially on stormy nights like this one, "Celen said with a smile. She than realized she didn't have enough food for two during the storm. "Um if you don't mind waiting here a bit I will be back with some more food." She than turned to face the vast open snow covered grounds. If she remembered right there should be a rabbit family near by.
