As long as you can admit that not everything is to your taste, you're miles ahead of many other people. However, are we also to discriminate against the average person who listens to the litany of the radio, not paying heed to genre or band name or song name? A person who enjoys a song individually, as opposed to someone who tries to find everything about each band he/she likes?

I don't like radio music, if that's what you mean.

Totally not my point. What I was trying to ask is this: are we also to discriminate against the average person who listens to the litany of the radio, not paying heed to genre or band name or song name?

What I mean to say is: What about the people who do listen to the radio, and only enjoy songs without ever knowing the song title or band name?

In my opinion if they really like the songs, it wouldn't hurt them to learn the names in case they wanted to listen to it again. Or they could not learn it and hope that it would be on the radio later if not the next day. Considering mainstream radio nowadays, it would be a safe bet that it would come on again. On the other hand if they didn't know and didn't care, then learning the names wouldn't be an asset nor a bother to them. So either way I guess it would come down to do they want to know, and what would they do with the knowledge. Kind of like the government warning of an alien invasion. Would the knowledge be a help or a hindrance? Its down to the person really.

What about Led Zeppelin?

Plain and simple, not a huge fan, but I definitely respect what they've done for music. They contributed so much and did so many new things, it was a shame the press didn't understand what they were doing most of the time.
