Mitsu wrapped her arm around Shun as soon as he was near, giving him a slight pout when he didn't hug back. Instead he was just standing there all stiff and awkward. Oh well. This was still progress she supposed. Or was it? She couldn't help but hear a faint whisper of doubt.
Ears folding back Mitsu looked back at the desk where Shun had set the tea cups. "I'll go grab the tea." Mitsu said quietly, breaking away from the circle to carefully gather the tea cups in her arms and bring them back to the group. She held out a cup to each person before focusing on her own, letting the warmth from the cup radiate into her hands.
"S...so how is everyone else?" Mitsu asked softly. She could only imagine how those who had been closer to Riley were effected, especially those like Jericho who weren't there.

It was an awkward hug to be certain, but in Xiu's opinion, it was a nice hug. She had missed Lizzy during the trip, and the fact that she was hugging Mitsu and Shun now was a reminder that they were safe. Somehow, they had made it out alive.
She drew her arms back when the others did, using her newly freed hands to gratefully take one of the offer teacups. "Thanks, Mitsu. And thank you for the tea, aniki." She shut her eyes and lifted the cup to her lips, trying to let the warmth and the scent soothe her before she took a little sip. Xiu had been drinking a lot of tea since yesterday. She had been hoping that it would help clear her mind and rid of the strange whispers that she occasionally heard in the back of her mind.
Alas, it didn't seem to work. The baku flinched slightly when one of the voices suddenly murmured something indistinguishable, breaking through her calm. Hastily trying to regain her composure, she turned to look at Mitsu at the question. A small, weak smile quirked on her lips.
"I just...can't stop thinking about what happened," She admitted, shifting her weight uncomfortably, "Not only what happened to us, but the horsemen as well. I initially didn't want to trust the horsemen, but now I just..." She trailed off, looking at Shun. How did he feel about all this, she wondered? Xiu had been pretty convinced to be on her guard around the horsemen after that Trance class on the Death isles, but now...

Shun tensed a bit as the girls hugged and pulled him close, not really accustomed to this whole group hug type thing. Once they released him, he relaxed once more. He then went to take the tea from Mitsu, nodding lightly to her in thanks. Carefully, he sipped it before frowning at some of the things that were being said.
"A lot has happened. And yes... there is little point in suspecting them of anything at this point. Regardless of their intentions, they won't be able to do much for quite some time." he murmured.

She took the tea gratefully, offering both Mitsu and Shun a smile before taking a sip; it was funny how her drinking habits had somewhat changed thanks to Xiu. The first time she drank tea that wasn't really fruity, sweet or served chilled, it really never occurred to her that she would actually come to enjoy it one day.
Listening to them talk, she stayed silent, eyes darting from one person to the other as she wondered what they were going on about; she had a feeling that something else had happened, other than what had happened to Riley, but other than hearing about how the Horsemen are moving into Halloween... Well, all the other details were rather fuzzy. When Xiu mentioned the Horsemen, she took the opportunity to ask, "What exactly happened? Can you tell me the full story?"

Finally taking a sip of her tea, Mitsu looked between all parties silently. "It's hard to forget." Mitsu agreed in a whisper over the top of her cup. It was something that would have no doubt plagued her sleep had she not been so mentally exhausted.
Looking to Shun when he spoke up, the lycan nodded. Mitsu had found it hard to trust them as well considering what she had been told but now...now that reality would never come to be. At least no time soon.
When Lizzy asked more about what happened Mitsu didn't speak, she simply focused on her tea instead. She wasn't sure she could really put the story into words, the nightmarish images that remained in her mind or the events she was trying so hard to forget. Everything seemed warped and distorted she wasn't sure anything would come out right.

Xiu gave a simple nod of agreement at Shun's comment, but chose to say nothing else on the matter. There wasn't really anything else to say--even if the horsemen did decide to try anything with Halloween, it would probably not be for a while.
She stared down into her teacup at Lizzy's question, a frown tugging at her lips. The full story, huh? When no one else spoke up, she took a deep breath and then sighed. "I, um...I can give you a rundown. I'll try to keep it brief." Or as brief as she could, at least. There were quite a few points to touch on, but hopefully her summary would give Lizzy an overall idea on what happened.
Xiu started from the beginning--from their delayed return to Halloween and the Hunters' arrival at each island--to the point where they finally arrived back at Amityville. The battles, the phoenix, the destruction of the islands--her expression was grim as she spoke, her voice soft.
After she finished, there was a pause, and then she looked over to Shun. "I'm not sure...if what we saw in trance class is relevant right now, but it might be interesting to share just in case?"

While Xiu explained things, Shun stood by silently, letting her do the speaking. There wasn't much more to talk about in that regard. When she finished up, he nodded quietly to her.
"We may as well," he shrugged before looking towards the three girls.
From there, he went on to explain the three visions they had seen during their death trance. The ancient battle. The subway slaughter. The glimpse of a broken future. The first two were rather bloody, in similar ways. He said this all in a fairly neutral tone as usual.

By the time they were done recalling the events that had transpired during the field trip, the tea clasped in hrthand was no longer hot. Her expression had gone from concern to worry, to a look of mild horror and fright the moment Xiu talked about how the Horsemen Islands had been destroyed, and how a phoenix had been formed from the wreckage of the islands.
Shun's 'death trance' experience wasn't exactly good news either.
"Why would they... Show that to you?" She frowned, suddenly feeling the need to sit down; there was too much information too fast, and her mind was trying hard to process everything that she had been told, "An ancient battle, a slaughter, the future... However you look at it, those events do not portray the Horsemen in a good light! And if the Horsemen had intended to end the human world, I can even... Understand why the hunters - being humans - would want to destroy the Horsemen Islands."

Hearing the events laid out again had Mitsu fidgeting up a storm. Her eyes kept trailing to her cup, to the floor, and around the room as she attempted to focus on something else to no avail. She didn't like reliving the events no matter how brief though at least she knew what was coming. Poor Lizzy looked so blindsided by it all.
Hesitantly Mitsu reached out to place a hand on Lizzy's shoulder, jerking back for a moment when she heard the whispers again telling her it would do no good. Or at least that's what she was certain she was hearing. After a moment of uncertainty the hand that Mitsu had been holding out finally came to rest on Lizzy's shoulder, squeezing it lightly. "It's hard to make sense of anything...I'm still not sure who should be trusted but it seems hardly important at the moment. Not with everything that happened."

"I wasn't sure either," She admitted softly, looking at Lizzy, "Showing us something like that--something that would turn them into what seems like bad guys in our eyes...I just couldn't understand it." And sure enough, it did make her much more wary and doubtful of the horsemen after. What was it that Medea had said? "All paths lead to the same end", or something like that? If that "end" really was what they had seen...
Well, considering the current situation, the scene in the vision seemed very unlikely. At least, not for a long time--not unless the clans rebuilt themselves, and not unless Halloween decided to make a truce with the humans. Considering what the Hunters had done in the most recent trip, Xiu sincerely doubted that either of those things would be happening anytime soon.
She nodded in agreement with Mitsu. "As it is now...this trance stuff is probably good to keep in mind, but...but not a priority?" Xiu sighed, taking a small sip of her cooled tea before continuing, "I just...I'm not sure what the near future will bring at this point."

Lizzy was having some of the same thoughts he had originally. And Mitsu had a rather valid point. The horsemen had taken an incredible hit. But a part of Shun felt that they may actually be able to use this to their advantage to an extent.
"It is indeed something to keep in mind. When asked, Medea was rather.. vague with her answers on what it meant. But in any case, I feel that the horsemen, once they've set up and settled in their new home, will want revenge. If we help them and if they allow us to help, they may be more willing to aid us in return. With the trials, the school already had some favor with them, but it may not hurt to try and strengthen things," he said quietly. Though, his eye closed as the voices grew angry over this. Why should they trust the horsemen?
If anything, weakened or not, they could still provide a useful ally. It was the same sort of reasoning he had in giving Invictus the Pumpkin pill when he had been downed by the hunters, despite his current suspicions at the time.

She smiled at Mitsu when she felt her hand on her shoulder, relaxing a little as she placed her a free hand over the werewolf's, giving it a squeeze; Mitsu and Xiu made a point... There are other things to worry about. Nodding, she sighed softly as she looked at her own reflecting in the teacup, "You know... I spoke to Mister Arel during the trials. He knew about the Seeds mission. I could tell that he was worried - worried about us."
She turned the cup in her hand, and took a sip, making a face at how cold the tea was, "The horsemen... The Bogeymen... DETH... These organizations have different goals concerning hunters. Humans. I just feel so lost sometimes... Is there really a right side to take?" She sighed again, looking up with a frown, "We need to observe the Horsemen... A little more. However, in the meantime, you guys need to rest! I can't imagine how tired you must feel right now..."

Mitsu let her hand linger on Lizzy's shoulder for a little longer before she finally pulled away. It seemed the ghoul was starting to calm or at least focus on one thing at a time now.
"Y...you spoke with Arel?" Arel always seemed worried about them. He had their better interests at heart and probably worried more than any teacher on staff. "What did he say?" Mitsu asked curiously. "D-did he know what happened?" Would this become an issue? He was in a position of authority. Mitsu could tell he cared about them but how far would that go? Would he turn them over to the bogey's to protect the rest of the school if something came up?
Swallowing hard Mitsu stared at the now cold tea in her hands forcing herself to take a sip. "Maybe there is no right side." She muttered in regards to the different organizations. It was something to think about. They all wanted something but none of the goals matched up. One group wanted to extinguish the humans it seemed, another wanted to preserve them, and the last wanted to keep order but hide the existence of the hunters. What were their goals as students? Mostly survival Mitsu was certain. Growing stronger perhaps. She wasn't entirely certain where that fit in.

Arel was worried about them? Xiu supposed that she shouldn't be so surprised--after all, as skittish as the secretary was, he had taken the safety of the students into consideration. Still, hearing this was enough to make her frown, though she remained silent until Mitsu piped up with a question. "I'm sure...Arel knows what happened. But how does he, um...how is he taking the news?" They had clearly done something dangerous by killing the Hunter, and she was certain that Arel was none too happy about that.
Xiu sighed and shook her head, her gaze absentmindedly fixated on her teacup. "No...no, I don't think there is a right side," She murmured, her brows creasing, "Every side just wants to survive, but it just so happens that if we want to survive, we'll have to fight each other." The Hunters were after the Horsemen, and the Horsemen were fighting back against the Hunters. In the end, Halloween really was stuck right in the middle.
"Rest would be nice, but it doesn't come easy lately--ah." The baku had begun to smile, only to flinch when a voice whispered in her ear. She whirled around quickly, but upon seeing no one there, slowly turned back tot he group. Her expression had become much more wary than it had been a moment ago.

Shun would have asked what else Arel said but Mitsu had beaten him to that. With a frown, he thought this all over before shaking his head slowly at the three girls.
"We are our own side. As far as the hunters go, I feel that the horsemen would be the best allies to have. But even then, we're likely on our own until we can know for certain that they would be with us. Right now they are probably busy working on rebuilding to deal with any other issues."
As far as the boogeys and deth went, Shun didn't have a great deal of trust in the boogeymen. Deth, in his opinion, may be too soft when it came to the hunters. Their ideals were nice for humans as a whole, but hunters should not be counted into that. In the back of his mind, he could swear the voices were telling him that no one could really be trusted. No one.
"Indeed, rest is not something that has come all too easy... not with.. the noise," he murmured while rubbing his head.
