"No she won't!" Lapin was all too quick to snap at her sister. It's not that she was upset or mad at Poe, but she wasn't thinking straight. It only took a few seconds after she said those words for her to realize their possible effects and her head lowered a bit. "I'm sorry Poe." She whispered and nuzzled into her sister for comfort. Between her sister, mother, Aunt Mercy and brother Olo Lapin was starting to see that Aunt Mercy leaving wasn't a disaster, she would come back, and she would have all kinds of amazing stories to tell. That made her loosen her grip on Mercy's legs, not quite freeing herself fro them yet but her grip was fading.
Of course hearing her brothers words about how she needed to stop making a scene brought Lapin to the opposite side of the emotion spectrum. She was no longer sad, deep down she was, but at the surface she was angry, very angry with Syrrin. Peeling herself off of Mercy's leg completely Lapin scrambling to her hooves and in a spurt of speed raced to Syrrin and began to headbutt him with her antler buds. They likely wouldn't do much damage as they were small and mostly covered by her mane at this point. "You don't care! You never did!" Lapin had thought Syrrin was a fun brother, he was more outgoing than Olo but now she saw him differently. Perhaps had he kept his mouth shut she would have come over to him and stood quietly at his side to watch Mercy go, but now she just wanted him to hurt as much as as she was hurting now. And the only thing that would do that, at least in her mind, was assaulting him repeatedly with her antlers.

Fairbreeze watched as the events slowly unraveled from a bit of crying to Lapin suddenly turning on one of her brothers. He really hadn't expected that. Of course Fairbreeze also thought Syrrin's comment was uncalled for, but he would never say that, the stallion may not be all that large but certainly he could cause a lot of trouble if he wanted to. He wondered if anything like this would happen with his family if one of them decided to leave for a bit. Hey wait a second, speaking of family where was his brother...and why was Cheveyo speaking with that black blob in a bush over there. Then it hit him, that was his brother hiding in the bush. Now why was Falcon doing that.
Not sure if his parents had seen it, Fairbreeze nosed his mother and whispered. "Falcon is hiding over there." And pointed his brother out with his muzzle. Now his attention was divided between watching his brother and seeing what happened with Lapin and Syrrin.

Poe all but cowered back from her sister when she snapped at her, but the quick apology kept her from running back to hide behind Olo. "It's okay" She told her sister - of course when Lapin charged Syrrin with an angry look on her face Poe rethought her decision and rushed back to Olo's side "Oh! Don't let them fight!" She begged her brother although if he went off to stop the fight then she wouldn't have anyone to hide behind "But don't leave me!" She hurried to add on quite unaware that the two requests contradicted one another as she buried her head in his mane again.

At her son's nudge Jarita directed her gaze to the small bush that Fairbreeze was pointing out. "What on earth is he doing over there?" She stated rather hoping that he wasn't about to add to the chaos that was currently going on between the Usdia siblings.
"Probably getting into trouble" Kaliri piped up as she overheard the conversation. "Yep I bet he's getting into trouble"
"Hush, Kaliri..stay here with your mother and brother while I go and see whats going on" Eversong stated, nudging Kaliri close to her mother before heading towards Chev and his hiding son.

When Lapin snapped at her sister Mercy sighed slightly - perhaps this was going to take a more radical solution then simple assurances..but as was typical of Lapin the little foal swiftly changed directions and decided to take out her anger and emotional upheaval on her older brother instead. This was not exactly how she had envisioned her good-byes going and she certainly didn't want to leave if someone got hurt or leave them fighting.
Quickly she trotted forward, inserting herself between the charging filly and her older brother, lowering her head she nudged Lapin gently aside - which was fairly easily done given their size difference. "Lapin" She told the filly to try and regain her attention "Syrrin cares...he just doesn't show it the same way you do" She told her. "Don't be angry with him, he didn't mean it to be cruel"

"I am being respectful" Syrrin told Olo with a snort "I know its a big deal and being upset is fine but how do you think it's going to make Mercy feel seeing Poe and Lapin like that right before she leaves? She'll feel guilty for weeks you know she wi.." His sentence was suddenly caught off as Lapin charged him. It was doubtful the filly could really hurt him she was a pint sized thing really.
But he was surprised by her sudden anger and wasn't sure exactly how to respond - of course before he had the chance to come up with a plan Mercy stepped in to handle it and Syrrin nodded slightly at her words "She's right I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, Sorry Lapin" He told her sincerely.

Nuts! He thought he had been all sneaky, but apparently even the little leader could spot him. "You're giving me away," he hissed back, glancing briefly to him before turning his eyes back to the scene the other Usdia were causing; it took all his power not to giggle at how overdramatic it all was. "M'waiting for the others to leave. Sir," he remembered to add this time, forgetting that size didn't matter here and that Cheveyo was in fact the alpha here.
And then he felt eyes glancing at him, and then his dad start coming over, and suddenly the foal's plans all went down the river. More nuts. Well so much for surprise. "Here to say goodbye?" Falcon began conversationally at Eversong, straightening up from his crouch since it was apparently useless to hide any longer. "I'm already prepared to go with her, don't worry. I'm smart~" The colt pointed out his lunchbag-on-a-stick with pride. "We won't go hungry."

It all happened so fast and Syn had not even seen that coming to the point that she stood staring in shock and awe at Lapin as she charger her older brother. Before she could finally react Mercy had stepped in to break up the pending disaster. Stepping forward Syn nuzzled her daughter who seemed to be willing to back down now. "We are all sad to see her go, even Syrrin does, he just doesn't show it well." She gave her son a stern look, warning him to watch what he said not only now but over the next few days as well.

Olo couldn't believe his eyes and he gave a sigh as Lapin raced towards Syrrin. Honestly though he kind of deserved it, he needed to watch what he said. He craned his neck giving Poe a reassuring nudge. When she told him to not let the fight Olo began to take a step towards his sibling yet froze at Poe's next words. Well, he was stuck between a rock and a hard place now wasn't he. Luckily it was Mercy who stepped it to break up the fight, so Olo turned his attention back to Poe. "Don't worry, they aren't fighting." He assured her and flicked his tail at her in a playful manner.

Lapin had almost reached Syrrin when Mercy stepped in between them. She didn't want to hurt her Aunt and the small foal put the breaks on. Mercy's nudge sent her off course and Lapin tumbled a bit as she came to a stop. "Then he shouldn't have said it!" She half shouted and looked angrily at her brother. "You're mean, I don't like you." She said in a pouting voice at Syrrin, really she didn't hate him, but at this moment she wasn't sure what else say to him. The attention from her mother took away the last of her anger but she still didn't want to talk to Syrrin. Instead she did the only thing she could think of without creating more violent.
Trotting off to where Poe and Olo were standing Lapin huffed, glanced back at Syrrin and then plunked her butt down on the ground. With her back to her brother, and the rest of the group for that matter, Lapin entered her sulking phase of the goodbyes.

Fairbreeze smiled at his sister and then it grew wider at their fathers words. As their father walked away to go see what Falcon was doing Fairbreeze gave his sister a nudge on the should and whispered to her. "Yup, he's definitely getting into trouble." If Falcon hadn't already been getting into trouble he would certainly be in trouble in a few moments. With his attention mostly on his brother now Fairbreeze missed Lapin's sulking exit from the bulk of the group.

Cheveyo chuckled slightly at the foals response "Oh I don't think it was me that gave you away so much as your bright orange hair..." He pointed out "It rather clashes with the green bush" Of course when Eversong arrived and got the full story out of him the hiding and waiting made a bit more sense.
The foal was far to young to leave the herd and go wandering about the land but since Eversong had come along he merely shook his head slightly with a light laugh and moved off a bit to let the father and son have a bit of a chat. In any case it seemed like there were other things which needed his attention and catching sight of Lapin sulking by the edge of the group and stopped next to Mercy who was doubtfully trying to figure out how to handle things. "Don't worry..she'll get over it in a little while and be fine" He assured her "Foals are very resilient"

Eversong eyed his son the pack he so proudly pointed out with a bit of an arched brow "So you were just going to sneak off and not tell your mother what happened to you?" He questioned after a few moments in a clearly disappointed voice before sighing slightly. Really he shouldn't be all that surprised by Falcon - he'd been just as full of wanderlust when he was younger.
"Son.." He started "I'm afraid your just to young to leave the herd still, perhaps when you are older you can go on adventure's too - in fact when your older I'll give you my blessing and make sure your mother is okay with it..but you can't go right now and I'm a little bit disappointed in you for trying to sneak away"
Kaliri was extremely curious about whatever conversation her father was having with Falcon, and she stared in that direction with pricked ears "Maybe he'll be grounded" She ventured in a whisper to her brother before a stern look from Jarita had her wilting a bit.

Syrrin wilted a little bit at Lapin's comments - but having fought with Olo a great deal when they were foals he also knew that such comments were often said in anger and not really meant. "I'll make it up to her afterwards" He stated to Olo who and his mother. "Take her someplace nice or something" He added..it generally wasn't all that hard to make Lapin happy. Surely he could come up with something decent.

"Good" Poe stated when Olo told her they weren't going to fight. "I don't like it when there's fighting" She told him seriously though she couldn't help but giggle slightly as his tail tickled her. When her sister trotted by and sat down with a huff Poe managed to detach herself from her older brother and sidle up next to her sister, tugging at her mane slightly to try and get her to cheer up a little bit. "I'll play a game with you.." She offered her sister..which was kind of a big deal because Lapins idea of 'games' did not often match up to Poe's quieter preferences.
