Alyx slowly got up and stretched. She was ready to get going but she noticed three members leaving to gather supplies from their houses. She frowned but said nothing. She couldn't tell them what to do, not here. She'd wait until they were away from their little safe area to act a bit more like herself. She felt her legs growning weak once again but she ignored it and tried to just walk it off. They gave out on the first step she tried to take and she cursed.

Alyx frowned as she pulled herself back onto the couch. "Zero is fine," she muttered. "She doesn't want to go back home, back where she was born. She hated home. They gave her the name Zero. She knows no other name than that and the one she took when she was freed from the one that freed her."

Alyx blinked and just stared at his extended hand. "Thanks for the advice," she said slowly. "Zero just isn't used to this world. She was raised in a lab, born in a tube. Zero no clone though. Human as you."

Alyx sighed. "I was running for my life," she mumbled, struggling to get back onto the couch. "Not like I had much time to be around people and I guess you should call me Alyx considering it is the name I took on after I got out at the request of the one that freed me." She waited for his reaction because this was the first time she had spoken without missing a beat or even saying her name. No one knew that she could even do so.

Alyx nodded slowly and looked at him. 'So he guessed about me,' she though as she gave him a curious look. 'Maybe people out here aren't as stupid as I was programed to think.' She didn't think he could even begin to guess about her true past though.

Alyx frowned. "So how much have you tried to figure out about me," she asked calmly. She really wasn't sure she wanted to know but she needed to.

"I doubt that's it," Alyx said. "You're probably wondering why I know so much about the lab and the cure. The answer is very simple. Even a mind like yours should be able to figure it out." She unconsciously rubbed the scars on her right arm from the tubes that had been stuck in her while she was in that cursed tube they kept her in. Luckily her black leather duster coat hid her arms.

"I was born in that lab," Alyx muttered. "Project Zero, though that doesn't make any sense considering Project One is really Patient Zero for all of this. I grew in a tube in the center of a labratory. I wasn't even really born. I was created. No, I am not a clone so don't even ask but Project One...is a clone...of me. I am part of Project Legion. I was their first and their perfect model.
"I am as Human as you are though, that much I know. The rest...well...I was never let out of the tube. They wanted me ready, they used some sort of tech to teach me things, make me smarter than any Human including them. Really I'm not sure if I'm what they wanted, they couldn't control the fact that I turned out to be a girl so who knows what else is wrong with my Project. I am the only one they managed to make and then they tried cloning me. The results of that failed experiment are all around you as the monsters the people have become. Wish for more detail or do you understand now?" She rolled up her sleeves to show the marks where the tubes had been. She had many more but she didn't care to show him those.
