Regina stared curiously at the Ledyba's owner. A quick temper? Interesting. She'd try and recruit him, were it not for the fact that he possibly caught all that he saw - a Ledyba and Pidgey? Trainers on the Routes could do far better than that, surely. The Ralts must have been a fluke. She kept her smile on her face, though, and replied, "No need to be defensive, I'm not going to attack you. I just wanted to ask you a few questions." She pointed to the clipboard with her pen. Caroline, meanwhile, was examining the Pidgey and Cyndaquil that had come to see her. Like her, the Smeargle disliked too much physical contact, and so she glowered at him, waving her tail like she was threatening to do something horrible with it - she couldn't, she hadn't learned a move like that yet, but it was always a possibility.
Turning her head, she saw yet another male trainer with a Pokedex, only this one had an apple in his mouth. Well, he was just begging to get an arrow stuck in there. Again, though, her attention was brought back to Caroline, who was now trying to get into the fountain. With a sigh, Regina picked the Smeargle up and dumped her on her lap. "Sit," she ordered.

Alex looked up when a Ledyba flew over his head. He could have sworn that he saw it before. But it was possible that he had never seen it before and it just looked like one of the ones that he had seen. However when Vayne walked over he recognized him as the taller guy that got into a fight over Pidgeys. Now he was wondering where the shorter guy had gone off to. Alex was turning to leave when he saw Nolan. He remembered seeing him a few times but couldn't remember his name, well, that wasn't exactly out of the ordinary though. He waved though just to be friendly.

Nolan hadn't realized he was staring until Alex waved at him. Blinking out the daze, he sat up a little straighter, and made sure to give a little wave back before he dropped his gaze. Nolan was doing the exact same thing as Alex, trying to remember if he ever learned the other trainer's name. But what was silly was that Nolan remembered the Oshawott perfectly well, yet he had always been terrible with names. But he could at least salvage a little bit of an awkward meeting. Giving the rest of the remaining apple to Snivy, which of whom was happy with this turn of events, Nolan raised his voice to greet Alex a bit better, "Hey, remember me? I'm Nolan. We met for a little while out on Route 1? Good to see you again." On purpose Nolan left the greeting open-ended, just in case he had already proved to be too weird for the kid. Meanwhile, he mourned his apple for a second, but Snivy was enjoying it too much he'd feel guilty for taking it back. Instead, Nolan cleaned off the knife on his pantleg and while he put it away, he searched for any other snacks he hadn't eaten yet. It was probably about time he started over to the gym to see if they allowed spectators during matches. However, Nolan was still hungry. Alex walked over as Nolan was talking trying to remember his name. His pokemon followed with Lin still riding on top of Blue. "Yeah, you were the guy near the person with the Dragonite that wasn't fighting it." He stared for half a second before a few questions popped into his head. "Did you ever find out who that guy was cause I didn't. Did you ever go onto Route 3 yet either cause I'm kinda scared that the Dragonite guy will still be there beating up new people."

"Yeah, that was me. I'm not that crazy to attempt to fight a Dragonite." Laughing nervously, Nolan certainly did remember under what conditions he had originally met Alex the first time. He would rather forget, yet he wasn't going to hold it against his fellow trainer. For that matter, normally Nolan wouldn't even be talking to anyone who wasn't close to his age, but he really didn't mind answering any questions. Being a pokemon trainer changed a few more things. He nodded, "Sure, that other guy is named Chael. I met him some time afterward. And err, well, I have been over to Route 3, and I can say that I didn't run into the Dragonite trainer exactly. But ... there's still a lot of scary trainers, with pretty powerful pokemon. I wouldn't go that Route unless you're really ready. Eh heh, I got my butt kicked to tell the truth." 'Except there's a lot of awesome pokemon out that way ...' That part he kept silent and to himself, since just remembering the 'Ranger' that Nolan met would never let him encourage even younger kids to go out that way too soon. Hoping to change the subject, Nolan fired some questions of his own back at Alex, "So what about you? I think you have two new pokemon since I last saw you. Have you tried challenging the gym yet? I heard that a substitute is filling in finally for the leader, but I wonder what happened." "What for?" Vayne responded to her last comment. Erg.... This woman's smile is starting to get irritating... Vayne watched as she commanded the smeargle to sit still. Ralts looked over to Cyndaquil and pidgey then tugged on Vayne's coat. Vayne noticed and saw the Ralts looking at his team, thn set him down. The Ralts began to walk towards Cyndaquil and Pidgey, with some trouble but getting there. "Cyndaquil." Vayne called, the fire mouse looked around and noticed the Rlts making her towards him and Pidgey. The fire mouse grabbed the Ralt's hand and began to walk toward Pidgey. Regina stopped paying attention to Alex when he went off to talk to the male trainer that had had his apple in his mouth, and then given it to his Snivy. Instead, she focused on the annoying one with the issues. How pesky he was. She'd have to take him out. She kept her smile on her face, but her eyes glinted dangerously. "So that we can work to better the trainer experience, of course. Why else?" Caroline's eyes were on the Ralts, interested. Her tail flicked angrily, sending inky sprays at the surrounding area. Regina gripped it, stopping its motion. "Stop it, or I'll withdraw you." Caroline sighed, climbing off her lap and back onto the ledge. She sat down there, dangling her paws in the water, her tail swishing ever so slightly.

"To steal. To recruit." Vayne accused, taking precautions since he remembered other criminal groups did the same thing in the other regions, Vayne needed to know that it wasn't that again. He almost fell for it the first time when Team rocket tried. He watched as the smeargle was watching Ralts wondering why it was curious. Ledyba landed on Vayne's head looking at the woman he was talking to and gave a friendly smile to her and the Smeargle. Cyndaquil and Ralts were both trying to climb to the fountain's ledge. After several failed attempts, Pidgey sighed and picked them both up and placed them on the ledge. Cyndaquil looked into the water, shivering slightly at it. "Well that's good I guess. As long as none of them are as strong as the Dragonite guy." Alex replied with a nod to the first thing that Nolan said. He was expecting there to be trainers out that way. The pokedex said that's where people went on the way to the next town so it should be obvious that there would be and there wouldn't only be weak trainers in an area unless a person was too strong for the place like the Dragonite Guy.
Alex didn't expect Nolan to remember what pokmeon that he had,especially considering how they had met, but that was nice. "Yeah, and the lady over at the fountain said that Blueis shiny and that means that he's rarer then a normal Blitzle," he added with obvious excitement. He honestly wasn't expecting to catch anything that was rare at all. "As for the gym I haven't been yet. I was gonna go to see if it really was a flying type or someone is playing a joke with the posters and things."
Right as he finished talking Jenkins and Stripes both cam up and started running around Alex's legs. He looked down and got a little dizzy watching both of them but before he got too dizzy to stand up they stopped and tried climbing up his legs. "What do you guys have there?" Alex asked as he bent down and both of them dropped a potion into his hands. Alex looked back and forth between them and then around looking for anyone that may have been chasing them for the items and when he didn't see anything he put the two potions in his bag and started petting them both. "Good boys."

Regina blinked at him, confused. "Steal what? Recruit what? Little boy, I am only asking questions about your trainer experience so far. I've no idea what you think I can steal from that, let alone recruit anyone for anything - unless, of course, you would like to apply for a position in our company, but you might be a little young for that," she laughed. She was not worried about him - he sounded foolish with his declarations, and it was actually rather amusing. She watched his weak Pokemon attempt to climb up on the ledge, and then having to have the Pidgey lift them up. Her brow furrowed. What? Both Cyndaquil and Ralts were far heavier than it, so how would it manage to pick them up? Steroids? Probably. He looked like that's what he'd do to his poor Pokemon.

Alyss wandered on back to the Pokemon Center, letting Alu wander by her side. She contemplated on letting her other three Pokemon out of their Poke balls, but decided against it. She really only needed one other outside, and so far Alu had been a really good partner for her. Though her eyes darted on over to a group of other trainers and smiled. It looked like she could meet some new people other than Graham and Lee. She wandered on over to the others carefully, trying to find out which one was the main trainer around that knew everyone around here. "Um...hello. What's going on here?" She asked to no one in particular. She figured someone could answer her question though. From: Behind Enemy LinesUgh, walking from place to place was a pain. He should just hurry up and evolve Cloud9 so that he could actually Fly places. Course, the Altaria would need the HM Fly. But where was it located again? Somewhere in Blyse or something? Well, he had business there anyway. That brat from Route 3 wanted to meet up here. And speaking of which, wasn't that him over by the fountain with a smaller kid? And who was that the third boy was talking to? Was that...? "Ah, Hayley. I didn't expect to see you out today." he said, walking over to the woman who was near the trio of boys. He noticed the papers she had and smiled faintly. "More surveys today? What's the topic over this time?" he asked curiously. He honestly hadn't expected to see Regina out around Blyse, but then again he wasn't too surprised she be out here to scope out the new Trainers too. He looked around. "Make sure you guys take her survey. The Pokemon League and the Ranger Academy aren't the only ones with hopes for you. Her surveys are read by all sorts of companies who are looking for potential people to hire after they finish their journey, so it wouldn't hurt to do a bit of networking now." 2

Vayne as always kept a neutral face, and decided to just walk away from it for now. He just need to keep an eye out to see if his suspicions are correct, stubborn as always. He thought and sighed. He looked when a new trainer had entered the area and seemed to ask a question to thin air then the man who came into the scene as well.The place was starting to get crowded as well... How annoying. Cyndaquil sat down on the fountains ledge, watching as people walked by with pokemon and also watched Vayne's conversation while Pidgey and Ralts were still lost in thoughts. Cyndaquil noticed Ledyba on top of Vayne's head as well, doing what? "Unless they're printing joke region guides too, heh, I'm pretty sure it's a Flying type gym. I don't really see the point in someone spreading fake posters for the local gym. Wouldn't someone who lived here notice it right away, and then do something about it?" It just didn't make sense to Nolan, but he could share a little in why Alex wanted to see the gym for his own two eyes. Just not exactly for the same reasons, and he was sure the authorities would correct mistakes or catch pranks like that quickly. But that wasn't the only thing the other boy talked about. So while Alex was distracted by Jenkins and Stripes, Nolan took the time to study the shiny Blitzle. From a distance, of course. He didn't want to anger the Electrified pokemon. By this time Nolan had seen a couple Blitzle in passing, not for very long, and yet the blue coloration didn't really catch him by surprise. Kiera did have a shiny Yanma after all. But this unusual coloration was a lot more subtle on the Blitzle, in Nolan's opinion anyway. "Hm, I don't know how rare shiny pokemon really are, but I've seen a couple lately. A blue Yanma, and an all green Hoppip. I don't think they were any better than the normal colors, but I do like your Blitzle's coat. Maybe you could compete in contests, if Etura has any of them." Nolan was going to move Snivy off his bag so he could get out the map to search for any details on Contest Halls. But the Grass Snake had other ideas. She had finished off the apple - seeds, core, stem, and all - but she caught Nolan's hand before he lifted her. And despite her diminutive size, the Grass Snake had quite a lot of power behind her grip. Holding onto his thumb, Snivy made sure she had Nolan's attention first, staring into his eyes, and then slowly tilted her head in the direction of that 'Ranger'. Nolan felt for a second like he was in free-fall, because he didn't expect to really, really run into that guy again. Now he was a little too interested in trying to eavesdrop on the other conversations going on around the fountain. Leaning far back for a better look, Nolan glanced at the Smeargle again - at first the pokemon and its trainer a curiosity - but now all kinds of wild ideas were coming forward in his head. However, Nolan's mind was made before he even hesitated. "Um, hold on a sec', kid. ... I'll be right back." Snivy grabbed on tightly to the shoulder strap just as Nolan stood to walk over where the small group had been talking about surveys. Not wanting to be rude, he waited silently until he was noticed. A tad grim, at least he could stand at his full height and with a sense of some importance for just approaching them. Nolan just didn't notice the dirty look that his Snivy was giving Des. Regina turned to the girl - finally, another female trainer - and replied, "Hello, my name is Hayley, I'm conducting surveys to better the Pokemon trainer experience. She tilted her head, then, as Des approached, masking her surprise at his presence. Huh. She thought he'd have been off freaking out young trainers on the Routes. Oh, well. "Hello, Lukas," she greeted him. "You know I'm always doing surveys, and this time it's just the basics, because a new batch of trainers were recently sent from Valerian's lab." She offered him a smile. Silently, she was praying that everyone would clear off at the moment, because her skirt was really annoying her. She missed her pants. At Des encouraging the others to take her survey, she nodded her thanks - it helped that he was in his Ranger's garb, so he looked more authoritative.
Her attention was then draw to another trainer - the one from before that had had the apple in his mouth - approaching their little gathering silently. She gave him a greeting smile, but was a bit surprised to see the Snivy clinging to his bag strap, a bit like a monkey. "Hello. My name is Hayley. Are you are?" She pressed her pen to the paper, ready to start writing.
