I, for one, would love magic to be technology. At least that way I know we can all have it without some spiritual contract with another being that has the power to destroy us.

Of course there's similar risks with it being technology, but I'm willing to risk the body or my soul/spirit/mind any day.

i think theres both, but 70% of the unknown to the public is tech.

i say this because its easier to find books on the occult then books on technology that are useful

debatable even magic requires tools, and tools are extremely primitive techonogly. but still require keen craftmanship to create. and magic is a series of complicated thought forms

So magic is some kind of primitive tech that utilizes more mind than matter?

transhuman a term i dislike, its more choosing to live up to our true latent abilitys.

the human has all the same kind of parts yet our development in life leads us to use different areas.

now its when people want to cross some creepy line and become all powerful..... as in nothing can compete. by weaking others do i get annoyed.

I would love to advance to our latent powers but true unlocking may take another thousand years. (Though I sense it to be only another 50 or so.)

However, there are a few things I like about transhumanism, but only in the sense of nanites. I always did like Generator Rex and Deus Ex is pretty cool.

But all that genetic stuff should stay banned in my opinion.
