Wrapping her hands around the leafy object gently she blinked as it revealed itself. "Huh." She questioned, tracing it over with a hand. "First aid kit." She repeated the words to herself and stashed it away into a pocket. Thinking back to the reeds her ears shifted down. Warily she stared at her surroundings before moving back and hovering near her friends. "Things around here are stranger than the other two places." She mumbled, pushing herself to stand between the two of them.

Shun was quick to her aid but it seemed whatever had grabbed her had decided to switch its attention to Shun. In a panic Mitsu grabbed for Shun's jacket to pull him back. She tried to tug the reaper free, her ears barely picking up on Dev's voice. Looking back briefly her expression clearly said 'no' but she was in the midst of trying to remedy the issue. While keeping a hold of Shun her other hand reached for the vine, claws slashing at it to help free her reaper.

"...Pant.....pant...pant..." Poke was making a mental note to not follow Mitsu into any deserts. Either that, or she would take a plentiful supply of water. But before any of them could perish, they had found a oasis. Oh jack they had found a oasis. All but running towards the source of water, the dragon ghoul sat by the edge, splashing it across her face and drinking her fill. She had never known water to have tasted so good... As she sat there, she could see reeds floating around in the water. There was something about them that made her wonder if they were more then just ordinary plants. Standing up and turning the other way, she could hear the water shift and move, but when she turned back, they weren't moving. "Ha ha, I know that trick, seriously." She said, walking away before the plants could ensnare feet. But it looked as if Mitsu and Shun were not so lucky, as she heard them call out when they were grabbed. As she went over, she saw someone else come to their aid by pulling up the plants. Since they were busy taking care of the plants, the dragon ghoul moved behind shun. "let me help as well" She said, taking hold of his jacket and trying to pull him away from the plants.

Dev’s gaze shifted between Mea and Mitsu. “I dorn’t hink so.” She took a couple cautious steps toward Mitsu and Shun, ignoring Mea and Fallow as they shifted their attention toward somewhere else. The cu sith was more worried about her acquaintance from the Trance class. It would be a lie, however, if she did not amusedly grin when she watched the wolf ghoul and reaper switch places.
Tail flicking, she walked over to them and leaned forward to grab at the plants. “Haur, lit me help.”

Between Dev, Poke, and Mitsu, Shun was able to break free from the plant. Rubbing his throat, he grimaced while glaring at the pond. What the hell was living in there? "Thanks..." he murmured before letting out a breath and looking towards the three. "Things really are never as they seem around here hm?"

Tybalt shuffled his way through the sand, curious to see the rumored oasis of the Famine clan. He wasn't really interested in deserts, or particularly oasis', but it was something to pass by the time, and thanks to there being no portal set up for the trip home, he had a lot of time to waste wandering around aimlessly.
By the time he reached it, he found that there was hardly any signs of life. Which surprised him. One would think that an oasis would be a more populated area, but apparently not. There was no one here. No one at all. Even the little vegetation there was had already been harvested, leaving little behind.
Hmm...
Pulling out his phone, he sent Mei another text.LividPeas Text: At the oasis. Where are you?

"I guess not..." Poke responded, bending down to have a better look at the plants. As she gazed in the water, she saw something move. Some sort of shadow?
This proved to be a bad idea, as something suddenly reached out, wrapping around one of her legs. With a yelp she was dragged towards the water. Twisting around, she dug into the soft sands to prevent herself going under.
"Stupid...plants" She grunted, clawing herself father and father away, until the relented and let go. With a sigh, she flopped on the ground, feeling rather annoyed. How in jacks name could she have let herself get caught like that?!

As she sat there, her gaze went back to the waters edge, where she realized that..something wasn't quite right. The water's color was not natural, almost glossy, with a hint of black to it. If she wasn't seeing things, it looked as if there was oil mixed into it.
...Didn't she just drink out of that a few minutes ago?

When Mei first arrived at Famine, she almost froze in awe. She had heard of deserts and seen pictures of them even, but never had she actually been to one. It was..full of sand. Already, she was getting sand all through her clothes. "Ugh, how annoying.." Dusting herself off, she attempted to shake the rest of the sand from her clothes, but gave up soon after. It was nice that she got to check out the famine clan at least once before heading back to amityville, but she would honestly have rather braved the beasts in the war clan then deal with all this sand.
Receiving another text, she flipped her phone open again, finding another text from Tybalt. She was about to send a reply, but with her battery almost dead, it cut out half way through the message. No matter, she could see the boil further off in the distance. Sliding the phone back into her bag, she moved to stand beside the boil.
"Yeah, thanks for waiting, jerk."

"Yeah, nothing seems to be as it appears. Thanks for helping." Mitsu nodded to Dev and Poke before trying to take a step from the pond. She managed one foot but the other got caught and she immediately met the ground before getting pulled back, getting dragged toward the water.

Shun picked up the bundle of leaves, finding a pumpkin pill inside. Strange... What was this doing here? He raised an eyebrow, then went ahead and placed it into his pocket. It may come useful at some point in time.
Turning back around, he spotted Mitsu get grabbed by the pond once more. He quickly stomped down on to the vine before helping her pry it away. From there, he pulled her back and away since whatever the hell was in there, it wanted to drag them down.
"Perhaps we should move elsewhere.." he murmured before looking around. Nearby, he spotted a swarm of locusts or some sort of bug. That seemed.. mildly out of place. There wasn't really enough vegetation to have that many bugs... Right?
