Xenres came to an abrupt stop and sat down on the ground, his eyes fighting to stay open. Parmida knelt beside him, wondering why he stop. "My guess is he's tired." Parmida's head jerk up in surprise at the sound of Manelin's voice. Manelin walked into view and sat down beside Xenres. "I'm tired too, come to think of it." Parmida sighed, being only slightly tired herself. Xenres yawned and looked like he was about to fall asleep right then and there, Manelin not that far behind him. Parmida rolled her eyes at the sight of the two and said, "I suppose I could continue searching for eggs while you two rest here for a bit." Manelin mumbled something at that, then held up his new egg. Parmida grinned, then showed Manelin the new eggs she and Xenres found. "See? More new eggs. You can go sleep now for a while. I doubt Xenres is going anywhere anytime soon." Indeed, Xenres was already laying down on the floor, fast asleep. Manelin gave Parmida an annoyed, yet blurry look, and settled himself to watch both Xenres and the two baskets. Parmida nodded at that, then asked, "Will I find you two here if I come back later?" Manelin nodded. Parmida took that as a yes, gathered up her basket, and continued to search.

Finally all the eggs were found and everyone called back to gather around the matron's.


"Congradulations children!" The old matron cried happily. She wandered through the crowd, handing out a piece of candy for every egg found. "Now children, I need you to do me a favor. Everyone count out your eggs and place them in a row. I'm going to come by and give out the prizes for them!"


((Have each character total up the amount they found, particularly if you have people with more than one child. Ie: Parmida got 3 and Manelin 7 and so on..))

Tali dragged his feet over slowly. He had gotten that first egg allright but when he had barely been a younger kid to his second, the kid had burst out crying. Shaken the teen had backed off, offering the egg to the child with a smile. As soon as said child had wandered off to find another egg, Taliesin had turned away with a scowl. He didn't want to be getting to old for things like the Easter Egg hunt. His mind flashed to the testing. Afterwards they were sent back with a warning not to speak of it and then it was like nothing had happened.

The boy lashed out suddenly, kicking a rock. A flash of redhair in front of him caught his eye and suddenly Taliesin slowed. Strangely he didn't want to talk with her at the moment and glanced around looking for someone to latch onto.

"Strange..." he muttered to himself. Vincent wasn't out here.. Abruptly the teen set his basket down, and began to head at right angles to the crowd. Where was that stupid roommate of his?

Eighteen. Eighteen total between them. All three baskets were dumped into one pile and the three looked at the pile, then each other. "So... who wants which ones?" Parmida started with. She quickly snaked one hand out and grabbed a medium gray egg (aka the plot one) out of the pile and hid it in her basket so fast, the other two weren't quite certain they saw it. "Umm..." Manelin looked at the eggs, then at Xenres, who shrugged, then grabbed the blue one with lighter blue stars on it. Parmida then grabbed two of the purple ones. Manelin went next by grabbing the two oranges and three red-pink ones. Xenres went after the rest, quickly gathering them all up with only a "Mine!" in warning and dumping them in his basket, leaving Parmida with three, Manelin with five, and Xenres with ten. They all quickly got up and went over to the group in time to hear the instructions. They all laid their eggs out, and waited to get their candy.

((*pokes* What's the plot egg for? Can I keep it in Parmida's journal?))

Niki counted the number of eggs she had. 5. With a shrug, she placed them all in Aiko's basket. It wasn't his fault that his little legs got tired so quickly. She'd give him the eggs. It was his first planting day event. And her last. Oh well... Niki grinned at the green egg among the others.

Niki blinked in surprise as she was handed the squirming furry bundle. How cute. A rabbit. The teen managed to thank the Matron, gently stroking the bunny's head.

Aiko glared up at the pair. Could he go back now? Though the candy did look rather interesting. And he was not at all interested in the mask, or the live rabbit. But his Matron toddled over and put the mask on him, grinning happily and claiming that he looked adorable with it on.
