Annie nodded, she probably didn't need to be told because a wave a delicious smells came over her. She went off in the direction and her nose lead her to a little cake covered in what looked like snow. But when she smelled it, she discovered it was only powdered sugar. "Alex.. what is that thing!? It looks delicious!"

Alex pulled out his wallet and ordered a slice. "It's called funnel cake. Here. Try a bite." Alex never cared for it himself. Too sweet. If Annie didn't like it, they could always break it up to feed it to the birds. Or maybe find someone not as well off and let them have it. Alex would make sure it didn't go to waste.

"Funnel Cake? Huh..." Annie went ahead and took a piece and bit into it. It was... was. "Delicious!!" She picked off another piece and offered it to Alex. "Want some?" Her tail wagged, she was already having fun.

Smiling at how happy Annie seemed, Alex shook his head. "No thanks. You eat it." Seeing the crowd behind him, Alex moved Annie a little to the side to allow others to order. "Sweets aren't....really my thing." He looked down the way the fair went. Looked like it was games before any vending stalls.

"If ya say so~" Annie happily ate as she walked by Alex. "Are you good at any of the games?" She saw all the different prizes and made a silent vow to herself that she would walk away with a big one.

Alex shrugged. "Depends on the game. Balloon pops, shell games, ring toss....I'm good at those." He nodded over to the sports bit, the ones where you had to dunk a hoop or put the clown in the dunk tank. "Those I fail so hard at."

"Is there one you like?" Annie walk past the ones Alex said he didn't like. But as they did she heard someone calling out. 'You look like a raccoon!' Then laughter was heard. 'No no! You look like a trashy, dirty coon!' Annie looked around, she was the only thing that resembled a raccoon. He eyes got wide... She wasn't trashy... Then her eyes narrowed and she went up to the game and payed for a round. She stood on her hind legs and focused on the target. With a slight smirk and snarl she threw the ball.
SPLASH!
The laughing clown was laughing no more. Annie had two more balls left. So she patiently waited for the man to get back onto the bench. Let him launch a few more insults. Then she dunked him again. Then she grabbed the last ball and was starting to walk away. Then when she got a good distance away. She threw the ball and down he went.

Alex was just about to reply when the insulting clown incident started. He growled and was about to go pull that sorry excuse of entertainment off of his perch to teach him a lesson when Annie started lobbing the balls. He laughed along with all the others once it was done, then went over to the clown sputtering and trying to get out of the pool for a third time.
"Yo. So, like, that was my girl you just insulted." He gripped the collar of the clown and dragged him out. "Next time you try to get someone to give you a bath, you might want to be nicer about it. I'd hate to think you insult kids as well. My guess is, you ain't even gonna bother stopping until someone gives you a lesson. Am I right?"
The clown started flailing, trying to get away from Alex. "Tsk tsk tsk. None of that now." Bringing his paw back, the male socked the poor sap in the jaw. "That's for thinking you could get away with insulting others." A paw to the gut. "That's for you to learn that you need to stop and just go on home." Alex narrowed his eyes and punched the clown twice, one in the nose, and one in the throat. "And those are for calling her a trashy, dirty coon."
Down the clown went, and it was only then that Alex heard some people calling for security. "Oh crap..."

Annie too heard the cries for security. "Alex! Run!" She bolted to, she ran back to where they came from. But she remembered something. With a leap she ran across the table tops of some games, then nabbed the top prize, twice her size, stuffed animals and kept running. Hey... they were already in trouble so why not? She carried it on her back and looked for Alex again.

Alex vaulted, dodged, weaved, and ran through the crowd. He looked around for Annie, smiling when he saw her up ahead carrying a...stuffed animal? He picked up his pace to where he was running next to her. "Come on. Let's put some miles between us and them."

Annie winked at the male she was escaping with. She was starting to get familiar with where they were at. "This way!" She made a sharp turn and darted toward the edge of the city. He friend lived there. She would lend him a room for the night. A Fennec Zune was sitting on the roof of an abandoned hut hidden in the forest near the outskirts of the city. Her ears twitched. "Seems I will be having company soon. I'll put on some tea." She gracefully leaped from the roof to the ground and slipped inside. Nothing but a thin, decorated sheet covered the hole that acted like a door. Sage Mist was raised as a Gypsy, she was used to it. Her home was filled with shelves, stocked with herbs and odd glasses filled with colorful liquid. To one side there was a fire place with what looked like a cauldron, to the other was a large pillow, where Annie slept, and a mat, where she slept. Then there was a loft, which was unoccupied, save for the resident dust bunnies.

Alex followed after Annie. She seemed to know her way around, so Alex was going to trust her. He wasn't sure that the security would follow them this far, but then again Alex had never had a run in with the law to know. Besides, even if they got lost, it was better than sticking around.

Annie smelt the familiar aroma that was Sage's home. "We rarely see humans out here, I doubt the police will follow us this far." She gave him a reassuring smile. "Oh, this prize is for the little girl you adopted. I'm sure she would enjoy it more than I will." With another smile Annie slipped behind the curtain and called out to Sage, who already had tea set for three.

Alex jogged to a stop, blinking. How had Annie known about Alexis? "H-Hey! Annie?" Alex followed after the female, stopping again as he entered the hut. Annie had said 'we'. Which meant that there was someone else here. Or at least living at the hut.

A pair of lime green eyes met Alex. "Come in, sit down. Have some tea." Sage offered the male a smile and a seat near the fire. "Are you hurt from the run?" She doubted he was, she could tell he was a young man and probably faster than appeared to be. Even with that silly thing on his head...
Annie was in her corner, on her pillow, rubbing her pitching arm. With that last throw and run it was feeling a little strained. She was fine though. She joined Sage at the table and took in the sweet scent of the tea Sage had made, sending smiles to the others.
