The fluffy creature in Riyo's lap soon relaxed enough that its eyes began to close. Oh it was so comfortable where it was and her voice was so soothing. The little creature hoped it could keep her, she was a good scritch scratcher.
"Poor thing, beh," Titus made a face regarding the little vermin. "I'm the one inconvenienced by the little rat's presence. Special food, going for walks, keeping it brushed so it doesn't shed all over the place, and the damn thing has clothes." Not that Titus was going to dress it but his Uncle had thought it appropriate to bring the little fluff ball's wardrobe along for whatever reason. Perhaps a jack damn dinner party would spring up?
"And my Uncle is a rather scary man, I would rather not displease him," And by scary he meant painfully cheery but that part was best left out. His Uncle did have his darker moments but for the most part he seemed keen on killing people with kindness. If anyone knew anything about Titus, kindness worked wonders against him.
"The fleabag's name is Bellboy, or just BB." There was a reason behind the name but he would let Riyo figure it out. He wasn't inclined to explain.
As soon as it heard its name the little foxfire opened its eyes looking at Titus expectantly. It waited patiently but when Titus said nothing more it closed its eyes again and melted back into Riyo's lap. Ah, sweet sweet attention.

"Yes, having something give you endless amounts of affection is such an inconvenience." The ghoul rolled her eyes, even with the list of responsibilities, she really didn't feel a lick of sympathy for him. Having a lot of cats did that to you. "He has clothes? That doesn't surprise me. I'm sure your uncle is very fond of him." And frankly, Riyo couldn't blame him. He was quiet, well-behaved, and affectionate. Most likely due to good training. Which was why it was hard to imagine this 'mysterious figure' as anything resembling scary. "I have to wonder how much your definition of scary varies from mine." That was all she would say on the matter, though.
"BB then. It's nice to make your acquaintance." He had a wardrobe, might as well treat him like a person... That liked to be scratched under their chin and behind their ears. "It could be worse, Titus. He could get angry at you if you didn't call him by his full name, or disregard anyone who wasn't dressed in custom or designer clothing." It sounded like she was speaking from experience... Eugh.
"And you only have him for a few weeks or so. Then you can go back to being forever alone." Which... Made her wonder something. Raising a brow, the ghoul finally took a look around his room. "Hey... Why is your room so... Entertainment oriented? I figured you'd rather be alone..." She'd half expected something dark, dismal, and unwelcoming. This was quite the contrary.

The boil only managed to make a face and rolled his eyes. It was the mature thing to do after all. "Yes, he has clothes. I'm certain something for every occasion." Titus grumbled. The damn dog had more clothes than he had. And designer brands. Who knew Aberzombie and Filth and Forever 666 made clothing for small fluffy mutts.
When his definition of scary was brought into question Titus merely shook his head. "I doubt its that much different. He might look like a jolly demon but he knows how to pull strings when he wants something done."
BB opened his eyes and turned its head back to Riyo when she called his name. Tail wagging it looked at her expectantly before issuing a chatty noise that could have been defined as a greeting in reply.
Titus' brow quirked once again as Riyo explained how it could be worse. Honestly this ghoul unraveled a new layer every time he was around her. He was beginning to wonder how deep the rabbit hole was going to take him. "I think your thinking a little too far outside the box on this one, Princess.....It's a mutt." Though he only frowned at the forever alone comment.
He looked away, his eyes nervously scanning the room. It was spacious with multiple chairs and furnishings. A nice place to hang out if he had friends to hang out with. "I do prefer to be alone but it never seems to fail that I have unexpected guests." He looked at Riyo pointedly for a moment. "Besides, I like feeling comfortable and living in a dank dungeon is far from that. It's like me thinking you live in a litter box or up a tree."

Knew how to pull strings, huh? Sounded like a couple people she knew. Especially the jolly part. Luckily, none of the people she knew were selfless enough to own a pet. At least, she didn't think...
The sound BB made after she greeted him brought her back to attention. "See? He knows when you're saying hello to him. He's smarter than you give him credit for. And as for thinking too far outside the box, you should meet some of the cats in my room sometime." Wait. Did she really want him in her room? The fact that she was being so chummy with the boil who made her scream in anger felt... Odd. Yes, odd. Her brow furrowed, continuing to pet the dog in her lap to try and take her mind off of it.
And it looked like she'd hit a sore spot. The frown on his features raised a couple of flags. Well, she certainly wasn't going to apologize. He wouldn't and didn't. Half of her felt like it served Titus right to finally get his toes stepped on. "Yes, well. You don't really picture me having a big welcoming room either. And frankly, I don't. There's enough room for me and my cats." That's why she had such a big bed. So the cats could comfortably sleep next to her if they wanted to.
So this was interesting. Riyo was mildly surprised by his answers, especially considering that this suggested Titus didn't really want to be alone all the time.
Which... Was okay. She didn't either. It was great, because it seemed she'd finally found something that she could rib him about, but she had a problem with it too, so how would that be fair? Not that the nightmare demon played fair..
"You seem very intent on making unwelcome guests comfortable then." To make a point, Riyo leaned back into the couch and folded one leg over the other. "I bet you even have one of those game box things." What were they called? Heck, she didn't know anymore. The ghoul had only played one once with Jericho.

"I've seen the cats in your room, I'm pretty sure you've surpassed hoarder status." Really, weren't cats able to take care of themselves? Why not leave them outside. And how the ghoul managed to leave her dorm not covered in hair Titus had no idea.
"An Xbox 666?" Titus offered helpfully, though it was with an air of exasperation. Destroying scarelings and taunting them relentlessly in online gaming was a favored pass time though he did not deny or confirm owning such a devise.
"I think you are reading too much into my furniture arrangement." Why was she getting comfortable? It made the grimace on Titus' face deepen. "And you seem awfully keen on being a guest. You must really enjoy my presence." Leaning back against the arm of the couch Titus stared at the ghoul thoughtfully, resting the side of his face against his hand.
BB was nothing more than a fluffy puddle in Riyo's lap. This was the life. Being talked to, getting attention, maybe snacks would be next. Oooo snacks. That would make the day perfect. =u=

It wouldn't really be the first time Riyo had been called a hoarder. It certainly wasn't a sensitive point, so she just shrugged it off. Sometimes the cats came and went. She fed them when they asked for it and gave them a warm place to sleep when they needed it. The cat demon knew now more than ever that indeed, they didn't really need her. It was a sad thought. Without them, there wasn't really anybody who truly needed her around.
"Yeah, that box thing. You do have one, don't you? Or else you would've scoffed and made fun of it." She assumed, at least. It was also something that didn't need brain power to play. Sounded like it was right up his alley.
Sighing, the ghoul seemed keen on studying him. "What if I did?" The feline asked quietly and tilted her head. "What would you do besides call me crazy?" A term she didn't particularly like, but she could see it coming from a mile away. "Maybe sometimes it's nice to share the company of a pessimist instead of having to hear how everything's gonna be fine from someone who clearly has no idea what they're talking about."

The box thing. She called in a box thing. Oh the poor ghoul. So out of the loop of the world she was calling a fairly common gaming station a box thing. "Perhaps, nothing brightens my day like perching on a roof in a first person shooter and sniping twelve year olds and taunting them after."
"Well I would have to say you are still crazy for wanting to be around me," And that alone was probably true. He wasn't the nicest of people, hell he had strung her along on a bet he had been determined to have her lose. Why? For the sure hell of it. He had been bored or had he wanted something else at the time? To maybe spend some time with her? It was hard to say. He wasn't completely put off by her presence.
Tapping his chin he gave her words some thought. "Optimists surely are an annoying lot but your preference to be around me is still a little confusing. I'm not very inviting not to mention you did just charge in here and slap me in the face." Which had left a bit of a red mark across his cheek but Titus didn't seem to pay it any mind. "The name calling is unlikely to stop and I'm certain deep down you worry I'll slowly drop your IQ rate by my mere presence alone."

A blank look smeared across her face as soon as the boil started talking about one of his favorite pass times. "I... Didn't really understand any of that." The ghoul admitted, having only played a fighting game or two. The lingo was lost to her.
"I did." The ghoul acknowledged the fact that she had slapped him with a little smirk. "It felt pretty good." Hell, why deny it? It hadn't made things better, but it opened the path to making them better. Still, she listened quietly to the reasons she shouldn't want to be around him, merely shrugging when he finished. Reading a book would probably counteract the IQ drop, and as for the rest... The ghoul slowly stopped petting BB, simply resting one of her hands next to him as she used the other to prop up her head. "I'm hearing a lot of reasons why I shouldn't want to be around you, but not why you don't want to have me around." Which she assumed meant Titus didn't hate seeing her. "Let me remind you of something, because you're doing the same thing I do a lot. I'm not a nice person. Half of the time, I don't understand why people want to be around me, but for some reason they do."
Why was she so determined to hang out with him now? Even she admitted to herself it was a little weird, but she resolved the whole thing towards the fact that... In some ways, they were very alike. To what extent, Riyo couldn't really say, but with the way his room looked, and the way he spoke about himself, she figured even a douchebag like Titus needed someone around sometimes. It wasn't really pity. More like a silent understanding. "I mean, if this whole thing is bothering you that much, I'll leave. You can tell me you never want to see me again, and I guess I'll leave you alone. I'm not going to pester you like Hel would. That annoys the s**t out of me."

Her admittance to the slap only made the intense glare in Titus' eyes deepen. The nerve Riyo had sometimes, but Titus liked that somehow. It made her a challenge instead of a complete pushover and not a complete waste of time like Sura. Honestly there was nothing that got under that fleabags skin.
And then there was the solution to his problem. All he really had to do was say two simple words. 'Get out.' It was so easy and yet there was something holding him back. The ability to open his mouth to form those words was stifled and he was left staring at Riyo blankly in a long awkward moment before he looked away.
"Say I'm game to this whole, 'hanging out' thing," He quoted the words with his fingers as if to emphasis how meaningless they were. "What do you suppose we do?"

Hah! She was right (no surprise there)! Momentarily the ghoul looked away to compose herself, trying to hide the satisfaction she felt after Titus didn't tell her to get lost.
But uh... His question made her stare go blank.
Quietly Riyo's head turned back towards the nightmare demon, eyebrows knitting together. What... Did people do when they 'hung out'? "Uh." The ghoul started, scratching behind her ear as she pondered. "Uhhh."
s**t. She really hadn't thought this out very well, had she? "I guess... Whatever you want to do." The feline spoke and blinked, her ears standing at attention as if waiting for some magical suggestion to fall into them.

"Oh great, we are marginally further along that five minutes ago.." Titus mumbled. He had no idea what the masses did when they hung out.
Sighing he looked around a moment before his eyes settled on his TV. Well she had asked about 'the box thing' might as well show her that right? It wasn't weird to play games with a ghoul who had stormed in upset that you hadn't spread sexual rumors about the two of them right? Right.....
"BB," Titus looked to the dog who was suddenly at attention again hearing its name. "Get the game controllers and bring them back to me."
The foxfire let out a little yip before it bounded off Riyo's lap and headed toward the TV stand. It looked around the bottom shelf for a moment before moving in, his fluffy rear end the only thing in view as it began to tug on something.
Two wired controllers had been tugged free and BB started to drag them across the floor and back toward the demon. They were big and awkward enough that he couldn't really carry them but the little foxfire could drag them just fine with the cords until he was finally at Titus' feet. Pleased with his work the dog sat on his haunches and looked up at the demon expectantly. "Beh, good job I suppose." He said reaching into his pocket and tossing the little fluff ball a FEAR candy.

Whelp. Riyo felt a little embarrassed of herself. Wasn't the first time today.
But before her cheeks turned red, the foxfire's name was called. What was...

"... You're that lazy?" The ghoul gave him one of those 'really?' kind of looks, surprised that he would have a dog that was almost as big as the controllers carry two of them to the couch. The poor dog. NOW she understood the name. "And you're complaining about him being around?"
Oh well, whatever. Riyo let out an exasperated sigh and scooted closer so she could grab one of the controllers, immediately starting to examine it after giving BB a pat on the head. She counted the buttons, turned it upside down, poked at the crevices with her nails, pretty much anything she could do to probe the little device. "So many buttons..." Obviously she hadn't seen a television remote, or else she wouldn't be saying such a thing. "What're we gonna play?" Not that she'd really know just by the name. That much seemed obvious on her face.

"Oh, don't give me that look it keeps him in shape." Titus waved a hand at her as if shooing off the notion that he was lazy. Which he was but that was entirely besides the point. "My Uncle told me to keep his mind occupied. The fluff ball gets bored easily so it helps to make him do things."
Indeed, it seemed BB was pleased, his little tail wagging as he gobbled up the treat, moving back toward Riyo as she patted him on the head. Immediately he sat back on his rear, lifting his front paws in a 'pick me up?' gesture.
"I figured we could play a little bit of the game I was telling you about. It's not hard and there aren't that many buttons." For a moment Titus looked around unsure where the remote was before he reached between the couch cushions to find it. Extracting it at last he turned on the TV and then switched on his remote that turned on the XBox. "Alright, first you'll want to set up your character. There's not much to pick from but try not to take all day." He walked her through the process showing her what buttons did what but from there it was up to her to pick and outfit and the like.

"I wonder what keeps you in shape sometimes.." Riyo mumbled under her breath, momentarily setting the controller aside to place the fluff back in her lap. She couldn't help it. His eyes. His beady little eyes. How they called to her.
"Alright." The ghoul wasn't about to object. She had said 'whatever you want', and she meant that. Luckily for her the boil hadn't taken that in the completely wrong direction.
When Titus pointed out the buttons and what they did, the feline seemed keen on paying close attention, her eyes focusing on his finger and ears only tuned in on his words. She was learning as fast as she could in the best way she knew how.
It only took a few moments before the ghoul seemed zoned out, trying to perfect her character into something that didn't look too gaudy or too stupid. He'd told her not to take long, but it was so hard! The feline was a perfectionist, after all. "Okay. There."
... And that dude looked hardcore. Facial hair, chest hair, and the manliest jaw you'd ever seen on a video game character. Rock hard abs you could crack a skull on, and a puffed out chest that said 'I'll suffocate you in between my pectoral muscles when I run out of ammo.'
"Now what do I do?"

"My job requires that I stay in shape," Titus said simply, though that was all he offered on the matter. Not what he did to stay in shape or why his job would require it.
The process of watching Riyo put her character together was...painful. He couldn't help but offer an encouraging 'Can you hurry up' here or a 'You're really going to pick that?' there. Really why did she have to put so much thought behind it when you only ever saw the back of the character's head.
"Perhaps re-evaluate your estrogen levels, I mean come on..." Titus had watched her put that monstrosity together in a painstakingly slow fashion. Either that was what Riyo desired to have or what she desired to be like. The ball could easily be in either court. At least this was what Titus was fairly sure of.
"Alright hold on let me load the map." Titus moved through the menus at a blinding pace with his controller. Tap tap here and a tap tap there and the screen changed so that it was split level and they were over looking a city of rubble. There were already characters running about, some with little red exclamation marks over their head and some with blue. Right below the mark was the screen names as the characters came in and out of view. Titus' screen name was visible at the top above his stats: NotoriousNightmare. Riyo lucked out with simply Guest.
"Aright there's a good spot over here, use your thumb stick to walk by pressing it lightly, or push it all the way to run and come this way. If you see anyone with a red exclamation point over their head use the x button to shot." Titus' character began to move and that's when the firing began. The demon seemed to have a handle on it, avoiding the shots until he was inside a building.
Moving a little further Titus came upon a character with a red exclamation point over his head. He quickly stepped up behind the character and used the butt of his gun to hit them in the back of the head. "Aww yeah take it whelp." The demon then commenced in customary tea bagging before moving on.
Waiting for Riyo to catch up Titus looked around the couch again until he found what he was looking for digging up a head set and putting it on. He only had one so he really had nothing to offer Riyo at the moment. Perhaps he would let her have a try later.
