"C'mon," he said to Amrita, tugging on her hand. "Let's go upstairs!" He headed for the steps, catching a glimpse of walls of scrolls. But before he could move closer to look at them, they were blocked off by a clan member.

"Hey, between you n' me, I'm the one with the rotten mind." Well, brain...that wasn't actually rotted. But the point was, she had one that was rotted once. She was grinning though, in her own really obscure way of teasing him. Belatedly and for good measure, she was sure to elbow him extra hard for that whole legal stuff comment. Bad Roch was being bad, probably.
"No, wait, Roch~!" Amrita gasped out in a hushed whisper, trying to stop the Reaper from pulling her upstairs. She wanted to hear this! What about the Human world? Military? What?! It sounded so important and----and it was gone, faded into the distance as she was successfully lead to the second floor. By the time the clansmen turned them away, it was too late; the whispers were gone, and that was that.

Roch took another glance at the scrolls, wondering if he could even read them were he able to see them, then shrugged. "Sorry," he said, heading back down the stairs. "Anything else you wanna look at?" he asked her.

"Dang." Amrita whined, flopping her head to the side to rest it against Roch's arm. Stupid whispering people were gone! That wasn't cool. "Nah, I'm okay here. I feel like I'm being stared at..." And not in the good way. Actually...was any staring good? Probably not.
"Hey...did you hear them?" She murmured after a moment, her head down, hair covering her eyes and sockets, her voice low.
