Molly gulped at Candace’s words, tearing her eyes away from the sight of the giant eye that was staring at them. It was like the giant eye from Lord of the Rings…she’d have to tell Bix that later! Eventually the FEAR scanner read low, and they seemed to be in a rather calm and scenic area. Once again, Molly would never get the chance to visit somewhere so…beautiful (even if it was dangerous) if it wasn’t for Deus.
At Deryk’s warning, she paused as she trailed behind everyone, and following his foot steps, safely made it across the icy path. “Good job, Deryk!” She praised happily. “This is great teamwork!” It made her feel all warm and happy inside.

She was glad they listened, sighing quietly and giving the thing below them one last wary look before stepping off the ice. Candace kept her phone out to keep track of their position, glad for this app. Thank you, Life division. But she stopped when Deryk called out for them to wait. Eh? Oh...uh..okay. She stood and watched, prepared to jump out there if he started to fall.
Follow his footsteps, huh? Candace grinned. Oh, she felt like showing off a little. Her constant practice with Atropos was making her lighter and lighter on her feet, especially when not wearing Atropos. Candace pocketed her phone, gripping her equipment pack before she went through and did an impressive little skip through the snow. She literally hopped from footstep to footstep on her toes, staying surprisingly dainty about it.
"Good work, Deryk." Candae praised with a grin once she was on the other side, turning and waving to Ami. "Come on, Ami! It's safe if you follow his steps!"

Ami let out a sigh as the eyeballed monster seemed to be far behind them. She took a moment to really appreciate just how white and open everything was. If she had time she might write something down or draw it out, but that wasn't really an option, now was it.
Her head bobbed up as Deryk gave warning to let him go ahead. Ami was about to call his bluff and continue on when she noticed the dips in the ground, nearly unnoticeable thanks to the level white snow.
Ami was geniunely surprised and said, "Wow, you can't even see anything ..." She followed in each of his footprints and politely added, "Thanks." At one point she stumbled a little, but she stuck Junpei in the ground and balanced herself out. So far so good!

"Not a problem!" Deryk beamed as he moved on along. Everything had been quiet for awhile, when his fear scanner started to go crazy once more. Quickly, he looked around, trying to find where there were signs of danger. It was below their feet again.
"...Are we being followed? I really hope we are not being followed. Do not want to deal with big eye thing under the ice no. Keep moving!" he said quickly while quickening his pace.

Molly looked back again, and then looked horrified once more as she quickened her pace.
Oh god, it was following them. Would they have to engage it in battle eventually? It looked ginormous!

"Maybe it's friendly." Candace said with a grin, waving a hand in the thing's general direction. "As long as it doesn't get hostile, it can follow all it wants." This was the second time they'd come across it and all it did was watch them.

Fair enough. Never let it be said that Ami couldn't see reason! ... She was just too stubborn to most of the time. The eye was just staring at them from under the ice.
She nodded to her teammates. "I don't want to risk it though. Let's go!"

"Friendly? Well... Maybe. Don't want to stick around to find out if it just wants to eat us though. Nope. Not gonna happen. Let's get go-"Deryk's words cut off as the earth beneath them began to tremble violently. He fell over as a result of the sudden shaking. He could hear the sound of the ice cracking and before he knew it, a large tentacle had burst forth before them all. "AAAAAAAAAAAAH!!" he screamed before scrambling back and away from the big thing to avoid getting slammed. It was a narrow dodge. "DEFINITELY NOT FRIENDLY!" Tentacle HP: 80 Does 5 damage per turn (unless you're death)

“Eh heh…” Molly let out a startled gasp through as the ice and snow around them started to shake, and a large tentacle emerged.
“…I…I guess it is friendly!” Just not the way they wanted it to be. She summoned her lance, and was about to try and take a jab at it when she slipped on some ice. “Ack! Be careful everyone!” She warned.

Apparently 'Maybe it's friendly' was Monster for 'hey I want to fight you, ********. Also, yo momma is so fat when she needs to wash her hands she has to use the town swimming pool.'

Candace isn't sure how she missed a giant ******** tentacle, though.

"Don't wave at it! You might-" No sooner had the words gotten out of her mouth than a tentacle was breaking through the ice. Shiiiit.
Ami was already sliding across the ice, utilizing the momentum as she swung her glaive into the front of the tentacle, leaving a gash down on the of the sucks. Her teammates were busy: screaming, falling on the ice, and missing the tentacle altogether. Yup, she'd really picked some winners here.
As she backed up, she cut her leg lightly on a shard of ice, but Ami didn't have time to think about it. There was a giant tentacle RIGHT THERE after all.

There was definitely no way out of not fighting this one. It definitely wanted to kill them. Potentially rape them too for that matter. The thought made Deryk shudder. Calling out Tooley, he watched as the girls went in for an attack, then charged as well.
The big thing tried to flick him aside, and he was kind of able to avoid being flung, but it still did some damage. Then, once he was close enough, he stabbed into the side of the tentacle, practically burying Tooley into it.

Fighting a giant tentacle on the ice was not condusive to good battle results.
Molly was slipping and sliding all over the place, but at least her team mates were getting good hits in. She tried righting her footing, and managed to graze a side of the tentacle with her lance. Yikes, that recoil though...it was like the Tokyo Mission all over again.

Ami's eyes searched the battlefield. Everyone seemed to be swiping at it well enough. She decided it was time to play a little defense.
She ran over and stood in front of Molly, holding her glaive out to block incoming attacks. The tentacle swiped once, leaving Junpei a little slimey in the center, and her face covered in water. Uck.
"Molly you okay back there?" she said. "Try and get a hit in where you can!"
