Edel squinted at him. I got most of my bros and almost all my ghouls here, seriously?
"Moure is taking a different class, we won't be seeing each other in these two weeks I think." There was an uncomfortable shift. "He seems alright though...ah..." Edel stared out of the window to see more horsemen flying away to war ... a recurring sight for the past few days. Sighing, she cut back to the conversation.
"I wonder, who are those ghouls you seem to be hanging out with, hm?"

"Hmm, well Danny's here, and you're here, and Circe I've seen around, and Mitzi and I spose Sammy could count as a ghoul..." He frowned slightly, thinking of the other ghouls he considered friends at one time or another. "Hel's not here, though, no clue what group she went with. Seems a shame, she would have fit in, y'know?"
It seemed when he said "ghouls" he meant female friends. "I'm almost happy that Xiu isn't here, and Taryn..." He fell silent. Then shrugged. That ship had sailed. "No clue what class Choops is in, either."

"Quite the ladies' man now aren't you?" she laughed, her smile fading a little at the mention of Xiu and Taryn ... ah did something happen between them? The ghoul did recall some of Roch's love woes though he was never specific with them.
A strange screeching noise caught her attention and the ghoul was found staring at some rather curious looking minipets ... they looked hungry. "Sorry dears, I don't have anything for you," she told them nicely and looked to Roch.

"Nah, not really," Roch said. "I think I'm too young for anything serious. That plus the fact that we could die or be captured by hunters at any moment... not really the time to obsess over feelings, y'know?" he said quietly. "Right now I'm gonna focus on getting stronger. Any way I can, regardless of whether I like it or not."
And yes, the fireplace was still there. (Dice why you troll me??)

Edel listened in quietly and watched as the wind blew away a clump of dark feathers, revealing a tiny glint of something. What Roch had in mind was probably the same for most of the older students that picked War as one of their courses.
"Do you think ... no," she broke off, staring out of the window again. "What do you think would have happened if perhaps we didn't come to this school? What would you be doing?"

The ghoul looked back at the floor where she thought she had spotted something, only to see that the glint wasn't there anymore. No matter, she didn't really feel like getting up from the comfortable bed here.

The next time she looked at him, Roch would be sound asleep. Probably his first solid sleep since he'd got there.
