Mitzi made her way back towards the start, moving slower than Roch, and caught up just as the boil was helping Riley up. She caught his comment, and couldn't help snickering to herself, but since she didn't know the other ghoul, she didn't make any comments of her own. As she caught up to them on the platform, she heard Riley more than make up for it, though.

With solid footing under them, it seemed a reasonable time to introduce herself. "Hi, I'm Mitzi," she offered.

Riley was all too ready to leave. She slid her arm under Roch's, because he'd offered to escort, and that was how a gentleman escorted a lady. She gave Mitzi a gentle nod of her head, and the thought bubbled up into her mind as Riley responded to her greeting.

A pleasure to meet you, Mitzi. I am Riley. Now, let us begone of this place until tomorrow. I sense my body's request for relaxation, and I intend to fulfill it.

"I... actually think I might stay here for a while." So far it had been the one place where she hadn't had to fight with her fear of heights, and the dorms had been particularly bad. "I'll see you later, though?" Since they were heading out, she waved to them both, before climbing back onto the obstacle course.

Roch frowned, then leaned in slightly, sniffing Riley. "Mmm... if that's the case I'm gonna pick a monster," he said after a second of thought. "Seen any giant bird type students around?" he asked seriously.

Then he glanced back at Mitzi and grinned. "Don't stay out too long, okay? Too many people like to fling spears around this place." Then he was gone.

[EXIT]

...

"Hello?"

Alex didn't even know he was on an obstacle course. All he really knew was that Yin had taken off somewhere and left him alone and while that had been fine, now he was just sort of wandering around aimlessly and trying to tell himself that no, he wasn't lost, he was just...getting to know the area a little better.

Over and over again.

As he went in circles.

Eventually though, he heard yelling. Cries for help? It sounded like a ghoul, anyways, and he figured he aught to at least investigate.

Making his way through the jungley area, a fine stickiness coating his undead skin from the disgusting humidty, Alex pushed past branches and vines, tripped over roots and rocks, and eventually heard another voice nearby that was all too familiar?

"Yin?" he called, though the weremantis's voice had seemed distant and faint.

He continued on in the direction that he thought he had heard the other boil, however, and eventually...

Found the other boil pinned to a tree by spears. His eyes widened in concern, and he stumbled/tripped/fell towards the weremantis in the quickest way that he could.

"What happened?" He asked, sounding clearly distraught as he finally reached the tree, not wasting any time in grabbing at one of the spears that had pierced through the fabric of Yin's sleeve, yanking on it several times until he was able to wrench it free. He was actually almost scared to look at what else might have gotten pierced, but he had to look.

It was such a relief to see that most of the spears had either gone through cloth or missed Yin all together. Considering how they were pin cushioning the tree itself, that must have been some kind of small miracle.

Hissing out a sigh of relief, he began meticulously wrenching each spear free from the tree, stopping only to give the other boil a tight lipped smile, a maybe slightly frantic look in his eye.

"Greetings Alexander," He said, almost carefree, purposefully trying to keep his tone light and easy going. Oh he was certainly not pinned against a tree with several spears. Not him. It was really quite annoying, because this had been his best shirt. As in, the one with sleeves on it. As in, Ulmuka's gift. He had not intended on fighting in it and now it had been pierced by spears and unless he wanted to completely ruin the gift he had not been able to get free.

And there were just so many spears. Alexander was wrestling with the first one already, managing to pull it all the way out, though Yin was still pinned down. "They simply came flying out of no where," he informed him, and it was pretty well the truth.

When enough spears were finally out that he could move his arm again he reached out to lightly touch Alexander's shoulder. "Thank you for freeing me Alexander." He gave him a slightly sheepish smile, waiting to be completely free so he was not pinned against the tree any longer and could go investigate the ghoul's cry.

"I believe I heard someone that required assistance though Alexander. It sounded like a ghoul's voice," he tried to protest. Of course, it really did not matter. Alexander had been turned around and was no leading them farther into the course. But it was toward where Yin thought he had heard the shout so he said nothing about it.

This time he saw the movement. Barely. Just enough that he was shoving Alexander as hard as he could, pushing him away as the spears hit, slamming him back to be pinned against another tree. Really, this was just ridiculous.

He winced slightly, his time his shoulder having been grazed. "I think I may require additional assistance," he said a bit weakly.

Apparently someone out there really wanted the mantodae pinned against a tree.
