Robert let out a gasp after a giant swig of beer, and then sighed happily. He wiped his mouth, and immediately let out a terrifying burp.
"Yeah." He finally murmured moments later. "That thing. You know, of all the guys we work with, I tell you what. I would have never pegged Jerry as the one who was gonna have so many women problems. It's kind of ******** .. ********. I don't even know. What the ******** is going on in here anymore." He threw back the can and took another swig.

Jordan put on a considering expression. "6.8," he decided after a moment.
He laughed ruefully. "I know, right? Least likely person, somehow completely magnetic." He took a drink and waved a hand idly. "I mean, I don't understand it either."

"Whatever it is, I'll never understand it, so I'm just gonna have to ignore it and or accept it. I'm good with ignoring." He sighed, lounging back against the wall lazily, and closed his eyes. The beer returned to his lips, and he took another grateful swig, letting the liquid coat his throat in alcoholic goodness before swallowing.
"This is nice, though. We should do this more often." No, he wasn't just trying to get Jordan to bring him more beer, he really did like hanging out with his best friend. Which reminded him..
Opening one eye to look at the man, he lifted his beer as if trying to make a toast. "Maybe we can share another beer at my wedding, eh, best man?" That was as subtle as Robert was going to get, because he sure as hell wasn't about to ask Jordan like a sap would.

"Yeah," Jordan agreed, then grinned helplessly at the not-a-request request. "Sounds good to me." He raised his beer. "To good friends and good partners."

Perfect. Jordan always knew how to handle a situation. In fact, Jordan always knew how to do everything right, in Robert's eyes. He rose his beer up and clinked it against Jordan's. "To best friends, and great partners." He corrected, with a thickly affectionate tone.
