It took Mitsu a moment of looking around to see what the others had and what they were doing before she finally picked up her instructions and looked them over thoroughly. Once she felt she had the basic idea she set the instructions aside, still well within view, and picked up her wire to inspect it. The gold was obviously a softer metal and she was easily able to twist and bend it without the use of the pliers but did finally pick up the tool to help with the more delicate and intricate details.

The lycan continued to work in silence only looking up now and again to view the teacher to see if she had any further instruction but was more than content to continue working on her little project. It held some challenges but Mitsu seemed to handle them well enough with her slender fingers.

Lumi's face lit up at his response. She smiled happily,

"Oh thank you so much!"

She didn't even try to keep her voice down she was very happy. Not only for the trade but also because she finally was able to talk to someone other than herself since she got here. Handing him the pouch she was holding she looked around and then added in a softer tone,

"Do you mind if I sat here and worked on this? Or would you prefer to be left alone?"

Her mind wandering to a few different outcomes to this assignment as she thought about the schematics to make a ring.

First class, first class!

Mei was so excited she nearly danced into the room. But after a second of collecting herself she quickly made her way over to grab a seat near the other students who had already arrived. Hoping Reiko and Morrigan wouldn't be too late to class. She didn't know if there would be some sort of reprimand for being late....hopefully not!

As the teacher spoke, Mei kicked her legs back and forth against the stone bench slab she sat upon. Imagining all the pretty baubles and things she would learn to make. The ghoul barely caught the teachers mention of other implements that jewelry they made on the island had.

Maybe she had been right when she spoke to Reiko at orientation. They were going to learn to make magical jewelry. Oh she hoped so! Not only were the things they made be pretty but they'd be super special.

What a scream!

As everyone else got their kits, Mei stepped forward to take one of her own. Quickly scurrying back to her seat and opening the kit. Reaching inside, she pulled out the silver wire, tools and a schematics for a brooch. "Ooooooo..." She said in an amazed tone to herself. "A pretty little broach for meee."

Ignoring the other students for now, Mei set to work studying the schematics for the brooch. Her tongue slipping out the corner of her mouth as she concentrated on unraveling its techniques.

Draven was excited to be attending class, but he kept it quiet and subdued. The reverence he'd encountered on the island thus far was starting to seep in. It was all rather impressive, really. New, strange and grand. Fascinating was probably the best word for it, for this whole experience. So, silently he entered the room, and chose a seat.

He listened carefully as their teacher spoke to them, and he watched her hands as she showed them the kits. This was going to be a great class! He'd never done metalwork before, and since it was new, it was clearly a good thing.

When he received his kit, Draven opened it gently, pulling out his metal first. "Copper," he whispered, turning the wire over in his hands. He liked copper; it shined wonderfully. Next he pulled out the tool. It looked pretty basic and easy enough to use. Finally, he pulled out his instructions. "A ring. Hm."

All in all, he was pleased with his kit. He did glance around to see what his fellow students received. It seemed like they would have quite a variety today. Draven couldn't wait to see how these things turned out. So, he set to work reading his instructions. Hopefully it wouldn't be too difficult.

While the absorbing of culter was indeed interesting, and meeting new people was all the more fun, Phos knew deep down that there were still classes to go to. But yay class, normally watching Alpha go about his lessons and homework, it only made him feel a longing to see what it was like, from his own perspective.

Finally the chance has arrived and he was jacking excited like a carton of pop rocks. He was so happy, so very very- and the classroom looked nothing like what he hoped there would be.

it still fit the scenery, but Phos dreams got a little dimmer as he sat on the cold, hard stone chair and listened to the instructor talk. He was ever so thankful it wasn't like the droning that happened in some other classes, but it had flair and a kit filled with goodies.

It was that robot building class all over again. shiny metal and a design to turn it into, yes, the demon dog was going to love this class.

At least for right now as he wasted no time tinkering with it and bending into the shape depicted on the slip of paper.

"Doot doo, making something shiny~"
He only hoped that it came out looking as snazzy as the necklace that all three personalities shared, however it did leave room for interest over the potential chance of his own jewelery having some fear locked within it.

It did have one of his scareling fangs in there after all, there was always the chance. "Instructor Ylaria, are there ways to check and see if a piece of jewelry has these special properties?" he asked innocently, raising his hand high in the air and his tail batting around, waiting for the moment of attention.

Kettil beamed at the ghoul and shook his head, "Sit where ya want. I ain't anti-social or anythin' just don't mind if I go quiet a bit while I try to figure this stuff out," he laughed cheerfully as he then started to focus on new schematics he got to try and figure out what he wanted to do with it.

Hmmm. Silver wire. Necklace.

Oh sure he could be a smart alec and just pull enough wire out and that'd be the necklace but then he'd probably get so many glares for the lack of effort. He shifted in his seat thoughtfully while Endzela stared up at him.

"Don't think too hard you might break something." She chimed cheerfully.

That earned her a small glare before he started to fiddle a bit with the wire.

Julian walked into the classroom and almost immediately gravitated to something familiar, namely the reaper with an owl familiar. Not the reaper boil, of course, the harbinger had no idea who he was. But Julian was, at heart, an owl and while this one wasn't anything close to what his kind usually ended up as, it was still an owl and birds of a feather and all that.
He took a seat one row back and one seat to the side, if he moved a row forward he'd be sitting at the boil's left.

No sooner had he sat down, the instructor walked in and began explaining the task they would be undertaking. Jewelcraft may not have been his thing, but to learn from the Death clan, and it being useful in the long run, Julian had a feeling he would enjoy this, and maybe even pick up a new hobby. He idly toyed with the clouded crystal orb in his jacket pocket while he waited for the pouch he would get.

No sooner had he opened his pouch to find a kit for a silver necklace, a fox-like ghoul walked over and addressed the Reaper in front of him. Trying to be better around ghouls, the second-year demon gave her a small smile.

Gems with fear properties. Lacie was certainly amazed at the potential of the four horseclans. Although she was still hesitant, especially regarding their last trials, she was always willing to give others a chance. She picked up her velvet pounch with a wonderous look. This was exciting! She peered inside, seeing the glint of metal. She gently rolled out the items onto her palm, finding that the glint was evidently silver wire.

She picked up the instructions with her other hand, staring bemusedly at it. Was this a brooch..? Lacie didn't wear jewelry often, so she wasn't entire sure of its supposed appearance.

With a great deal of effort, several concentrated looks from the small reaper, and several mistries, Lacie seemed to have come up with the basic shape of the brooch.

The instructions weren't that hard to understand, and the patchwork happily gazed at the wired for a few moments before picking up his pilers. Cautiously, gently, he began on his assignment. The wire was indeed quiet malleable, and Moure knew he'd have to be extremely careful whilst shaping his piece. The details were actually some of the most interesting things to work on, and Moure threw his attention completely into the fastidious work. The rest of the class was soon forgotten, the only thing filling his attention being his project (although he did still have a listening ear ready in case their instructor spoke up again). The patchwork, oddly enough, realized that he loved this sort of work, shaping and creating something out of materials and turning them into beautiful, functioning pieces of art.

His stitched fingers carefully slipped around the metal, the gold cool to his touch. His bracelet was starting to take form, looking rather nice for a first attempt. He felt himself bubble slightly with some pride that he was doing something well. He continued to fix slight details, press and form others, overall attempting to finish beautifying his work. His grip was gentle, applying pressure only when necessary. Soon, what looked to be a gold bracelet, like the one depicted on the instructions, was cradled caringly in Moure's hand.

He set the pliers down, giving the bracelet one more look-over, and then looking around at the rest of the class to see how they'd progressed. After a moment, he returned his attention to his gold-wire bracelet and to their Horsewoman teacher, awaiting further instructions.

Pales

Sitting beside her recent pal, Ev was completely drowned in the class. She didn't even give much mind to Kettil at the moment, or the ghoul he'd seemed to attract, carefully fiddling in the pouch for material's. She'd listened to their instructor at full alert, fascinated and excited all the while. Her moths were perched on her lap, eagerly awaiting the verdict of the contents.

It was clear by how the demon was dressed that she was a fan of jewelry. In fact, her entire family was. Perhaps it wasn't the most glamorous or fancy, but she wasn't one for high end things. They were heirlooms, and held significance, and that was good enough for her~

And there it was! Gold wire, with the materials to make a hairpin! How delightful! She'd never made, or had one of those!

Mai sat quietly in her new class, listening attentively to the instructor as she spoke. The ghost's expression was probably more severe than really necessary, but Mai was dead set on doing her best here. There were things to learn! Even though most of her time was spent at Amityville, she couldn't recall the last time she'd actually attended a class. There was a lot of lost time to make up for.

When she was handed her materials, she gingerly opened the pouch and peered at the contents within. Looked like gold wire, and instructions for a necklace. Alright, seemed simple enough. When she looked up she caught sight of a familiar face.

Trying not to cause a disruption, Mai got up and moved to seat herself next to Lacie. "Hello kitten," she said warmly, giving the other girl an affectionate head pat.

Angenora heard there was a jewelcrafting class in one of the class rooms. She walked out from her dorm towards the room with a confident smile. Waving lightly to Mei before taking a seat next to her. Even though she was a bit late, she quickly caught on to what they were doing.

Genora snatched her own little velvet bag with some silver wire and instructions on how to make an armlet. She always loved how fashionable they were. Especially on warriors and tribesmen.

Pales

Nodding to the boil she looked around at the others in the class room wondering where exactly she could start on this project. No sooner had she looked away from the boil had she noticed another demon sitting near him.

Reeshie Hack

She felt a little self conscious for not having noticed him before but seeing him smile at her she couldn't help but smile back and give a small wave to him. 'well' she thought to herself, 'this isn't so bad...'

She felt a little more at ease realising there were other demons like her in the classroom. As she pulled out the schematics she furrowed her brow slightly. This was going to be harder than she thought. Leaning back slightly she whispered to the boil behind her,

"Hi...I'm Lumi...I'm here as an exchange"

She volunteered without being asked. Without warning she lifted her schematics and looked at him a little lost like,

"Have any ideas on how you are going to start yours?"

While the other two talked in front of him, Julian started reading the instructions of his own necklace. It was a habit of his, whenever he did something with written instructions, the instructions always came first, that way he knew roughly what was coming next. He was already wearing a silver rope-chain around his neck, a matching raptor's talon clutching a copy of the black, silver-etched d20 he used in his table-top RPGs, but there was no harm in having another. There were a couple of items that other students were getting that would have been easier, but it could have been worse, he could have been stuck with a brooch or a hair-pin.

He worked quietly while the other two worked out their trade and smiled at the owl's quips.
Another ghoul had joined the reaper boil, Julian gave her a little smile as well. He could guess and say the first or the two was a demon, but he wasn't really sure about the second. Besides, it wasn't respectful to assume, it made others uncomfortable. He still remembered the first time he met Sin, she had thought he was a monster who'd wandered into the demon dorms on accident. He hadn't really known how to respond to that at the time. He probably still wouldn't.

Ah, but then the foxy ghoul leaned back to look at him and whisper. He blinked a little owlishly back, his half-finished setting in one hand, tool in the other, and instructions on his lap.
"Ah, Julian, I'm a second year," he replied with another small, somewhat shy smile.
"I just read the directions over first and then try my best to follow them." His large eyes flicked to her paper and he tilted his head to one side. "You have a ring, it shouldn't be too hard."

Julian, she mused that name over and over in her head, it would be wise of her to try and remember names around here. Listening to him she just giggled lithely,

"Oh you would think it was easy."

Seeing his half finished piece and looking around to see others with completed or nearly completed pieces she frowned again as she looked down at the instructions. She could do this right...she had the tools and the instructions, she just needed to figure it out. As she pulled a length of wire from the pouch she wondered if accidentally cutting herself on the wire would give the jewellery some funny attributes.

"hmm...what if..."

She started to mumble softly to herself, as she cut a length of wire that was quiet long, noticing that she didn't have anything round to wrap the wire around she pulled out her hair sticks. They seemed to be just the right width when put together. Smiling happily she wrapped the wire around the sticks twice. There was still quiet a bit of silver wire protruding off the ends,

"well now what.."

Lumi knew that she needed to somehow make the ring stay, so she took the tools she received and twisted the 'arms' that had protruded off the edges against each other. She left just enough of a gap that it would allow for a gem to be placed upon it. Snipping the ends of the wire and bending them under the ring she smiled happily. It wasn't that hard she assumed. But the next step could always be the one that made her trip up. Holding up her ring to inspect it, she asked quietly to the boil behind her

"so..Julian think it might work out?"

She smiled brightly at the him.
