Cosine took a glance behind her and stepped back to settle on a pile of books. She remained silent for a moment while she thought about Kios' question. Perhaps not in the past, but now, with gungnir. "It may be possible. Though, if they are alive then her family might still leave? Unless he can bring them back." She frowned a little. Was that really a good solution. She could not really think of another. "I suppose the only way to find out would be to ask."

"But then... At least they will know where to go ?" He offered. "So they might be back more quickly." Less risk that way...
"Or someone could go with them." He mused. Either way, he was not for keeping them away from the closure they felt the need for. That simply went against his very nature, through that thought did not quite occur to him. All he knew was that he was bothered by it.
"I think I will... If I can ever manage to pin him down." Which... really was not that easy.

Cosine nodded, it was clearly very important to him. "He is around." She replied. "Perhaps not at this very moment but quite possibly if you drop by later you might catch him. And you know, he is always there if you need him. You just have to ask."

Which was also what his father had said, and yet....
But no, it would be unfair to blame one for what the other had done.
"I will see what I can do." He nodded. "I do not want them in danger... but I do not want them in the dark, either." He was not sure if Cosine understood fully how crippling that kind of uncertainty could be. It was so close to his own self that it was impossible to ignore.

Cosine nodded. She did understand a little, not as much as he did. It was his realm afterall but she could empathise. She had almost lost her brother and though they were not very close it had been troubling when she had been so alone. "Why don't you come back with me? I'll make us some tea and we can play the waiting game together?" It did not sound like the most fun suggestion in the world but it was better than waiting alone. "Do you play cards?"

"I can." Maybe not the tea, through, but company would certainly be nice.
"I do not, but I am certain you can show me ?" And well, he was curious now. Of course.

Cosine smiled happily as he asked her to show him. She liked teaching him and his siblings new things. She flexed her wings and stoood up from the pile of books. "Come then, I will show you." She said, holding her arm out to him. "I have been learning several different games from the Aoide."

He took her arm as she held it out, grinning behind his veil.
"How do you play with them ?" It seemed like there were many different card games. And why not ? There were so many different cultures to invent such games, was there not ?

Cosine started to walk towards the exit of the vast library and smiled at his question. "Well, there are many different ways. The cards are numbered, and there are suits. Hearts, Diamonds, Spades and Clubs. Two red, two black. In some games you must gather certain sequences of numbers, in others you collect sets. For example all the fours, or the tens. It's good fun and the best thing, the cards are small so you can carry them with you."

Ah, so it had to do with numbers, in a way. It was unsurprising that his aunt would be drawn to the game, then.
"So you can play anywhere ? That is handy." He admitted. He wondered if Endiovar knew about the game... if not, maybe he could teach him the next time they were taking a break from organizing and recopying in the library.
He paused at the door, waiting on her to open it. It was only polite, after all.
It was perhaps amazing that Ankou was, for once, exactly where one might expect him to be. Cosine had gone to tend to her records a bit earlier on, and he planned to surprise her once she was back. After the last few days, well... She certainly did deserve it.
So he had made some tea, a blend Anima had said was very good and was still wondering weither or not he wanted to try to cook something. That... might actually end in disaster, and it was a good thing Cosine was right outside the door.
Through maybe just a few fruits ? Erm...

"We'll get my cards first, then camp out and wait." She pushed the door with the mosaic spirals open and gestured for him to go inside first. A hall went off to the right that led to Ankou's rooms. She continued straight ahead, leading Kios out into a tiled atrium. In the centre was a pool, lined with the same patterned tiles, around some seating and a chess board. "I'll just get the cards from the library."

And there was finally noise in the other side, and he smirked. It was indeed her voice, through she was talking to someone... Kleo, most likely.
Hmmm.
Sure enough, by the time he did open the door, tray in hand, it was not Cosine that waited on the other side.
And he stared. The man seemed familiar, but...
Akakios seemed just as startled, but moved first - thankfully, because in Ankou's sudden halt, the tray almost went crashing down.
"Kios." He said, simply, and Ankou's eyes went wide. Yep. The Spirit Guide was gonna need a tiny bit of time to process that one, and in a way Lament could not help but be proud of himself. He'd never seen his uncle make a face like that at him before !
"Nevermind, I found him." He called out, amusement so thick in the young man's voice that it was nearly tangible.

oh ... Cosine picked the battered box of cards and turned to walk back into the atrium. "Ah there you are." It was hard not to be amused by the look on Ankou's face. It was probably something similar to her own one when she had recognised Kios. "Isn't it great?" She laughed, walking over to Kios and placing a hand on his arm. "Our Kios all grown up. He's almost as tall as you."

....Really, he had never seen it coming. Through he it was perhaps a comfort that, well, probably not even Echo had seen it coming. They had not been gone that long, had they ?!
"Well, ah... Congratulations ?" Yes, Ankou had no idea what to say. He still had issues taking the man he was seeing right now and connecting him with his youngest nephew. When had he started to wear a veil... ? "When did it happen.... ?"
"Not too long after the two of you left..." Akakios pondered, clearly unable to pin down an actual time frame. Actually, he was likely even worse with keeping track of time than his uncle even was.
"Careful. It would be a shame if you dropped that tea." Akakios, on the other hand, was perhaps a little too amused. "Cosine was going to teach me to play cards... Would you like to join us ?"
Really, now that his elusive uncle had been located, there wasn't any rush left. And now that he had been told he would learn something new, well, it would be hard to make Lament's one track mind go anywhere else.

Cosine smiled at the awkwardness between the two of them and nodded at Kios' words. "Let's play here." She said, moving to take a seat on one of the stone benches by the pool. There was a low coffee table between them that would easily take the tray and allow them to place cards down. "That tea smells nice." She looked up at Ankou with a smile. He did look rather shell shocked.
