K i m z y delicatedisarray Ooo lab work. It is part of my life. If everything is going well I only have to have it done once a month! I have to agree with what was said above about bruising. You shouldn't have a big bruise after lab work, if you do get another tech. I'm on blood thinners so I bruise crazy easy and I rarely bruise from my lab work. I will most likely need another blood test to see if the vitamin D supplement is working for me. I will no doubt again dread it. I'm on a vitamin D supplement and I find that my bruise went away. I'm thinking that the vitamin D supplement has helped. However, I'm not 100% sure on that, but it's just a guess. Vitamin D does help with bruising, it is one of the Vitamin's that helps with clotting (a bruise is just minor internal bleeding really). It, along with Vitamin K, is something I have to avoid in my diet. I hope your next round of lab work goes well and the results come back good!

I think also the bad circulation won't help with bruises healing (scratches as well). I remember one time I scratched myself on something and the scratch took ages to go. Well, in the end it's left a scar on my knee because it refused to heal and instead decided to scar me. The doctor wants to me to finish my vitamin D supplements (I have 100 in a container) and then I think she will probably say that I need a blood test to see if they are working. However, I personally feel as though they are working because I used to suffer with really bad headaches and now after taking these supplements I'm not noticing any severe headaches.

K i m z y I pushed aside my major phobia of blood tests and went for it. I was sick of my mum nagging me. However, it was the most painful thing ever. Now you might think I'm overreacting when I say that, but what with me having Dyspraxia I feel pain more than others. It's very hard to explain. I have a nasty bruise from my blood test. It's extremely painful. I'm finding sleeping with it is really hard work. I'm also really pleased that I had a lovely and understanding nurse. Lastly, we'll have to see if anything comes from the blood test. Hopefully I'm OK. Oh my. That's sounds dreadful. I've had the hardest time giving blood (It hurt liek crazy!), but it turned out my blood was "too thick". So, I feel for you. And, I bruise (easily), like, I feel off the couch (asleep I might add), so now I have a bruise on my wrist. Ha. You had a "nurse", I always call them "those bloodsuckers". I hope everything is ok for you. I have many health issues, so if you ever need to rant, feel free to PM me. :3

Also, had I not been for that blood test, well, I may have ended up in a wheelchair. It's that serious. If a doctor says it's serious then it's serious. The bruising easily might stop now that I'm getting some vitamin D from a supplement I take every morning. I noticed my blood test bruise finally went away after many weeks (too long). A ''blood sucker'' nurse, eh? That's a way to put it. I do hate them as well as I hate blood tests. lol I have a lot of health issues as well and I still need to get an x-ray on my legs to see if my bones are affected from my lack of vitamin D.

it may sound strange but blood tests fascinate me. I have had countless numbers of blood tests and painnful medical procedures, so needles really do not hurt.
have you ever had a canula put in?

It's very low so it's pretty serious. My mum was upset. However, she's fine now because she knows that I will take my vitamin D supplement since I want to get better. The nurses are vampires! Oh no! We are doomed. :> *Hugs back* You are very kind and I thank you for the hug.

I'll use this one as an example, I am anemic, it's been going on forever, but they only just found it less than a year ago. That's good. Sometimes you don't feel like taking your meds, and some people don't, but you have to if you want to get better. Yes, we are all doomed to become sparkly skinned! *Twilight reference* **Is shot** Thank you. You are very kind too. :3 *Huggles*

My gran recently found out that she was anemic. I'm a bugger when it comes to medications. I nearly throw up when I take certain medications when I'm poorly. My stomach is terrible at handling things. Anyway, I'm lucky in the sense that my stomach can handle the vitamin D supplement. It's just a powdery lemon taste and for some reason my stomach accepts it. I'm thinking that my stomach understands that I need to take it. xd Help! I'm sparkling. Hehe! Just kidding. (Is being silly).

I can take 9 pills at once (most are vitamins, but still). But, lately, I can't take the vitamins. I caught a virus that paralyzed my stomach, so the smell of the vitamins make me sick. emotion_puke xD People say I am a vampire because I am so pale, I hate the sunlight (is allergic to it), I stay up all night, and I drink "mysterious" red drinks (fruit drinks).

I never really took notice to anemia until my gran found out. In fact before my gran found out she was anemic I said to her, ''You know, gran, I bet you are anemic because you are tired all the time.'' It was in fact that. Oh no! I don't think I could take 9 pills. That is way too much. It's funny you should say that because my mum used to call me a vampire because I always had the curtains closed in my bedroom. Anyway, after going to the chemist I said to my mum, ''Remember when you called me a vampire? I suppose in a way I am one now (just kidding when saying that, by the way).

No, I haven't. It certainly doesn't sound pleasant. I just know I would hate it.
