Alex was slightly taken aback by her first question, as he honestly wasn't sure if Yin would shapeshift into his natural form if a complete stranger asked him to. He wanted to say probably not, but she looked so damned excited about the prospect...How could he say no to that?
"Well he..he's a little bit weird about shifting directly in front of others, because he considers it impolite but..well, you never know until you ask, right? Maybe try to get to know him a bit first before asking though." He grinned, as he started to slowly remove books from the box. These ones were all quite interesting looking, and he had to admire some of the scroll work on the covers before he set them on a new row in the bookshelf.
"Ya, the maul would be fun. They've got a scarecade there, with a DDD machine. Have you ever played it?" He said, as he wondered if he might be able to persuade Yin into going to it with them. Probably, anyways, the other boil hardly ever said no when Alex asked him to do something, even if he wouldn't enjoy it.
Fei began to settle down on the bed, his body relaxing as he eyed the feslime with suspicion. Slowly, he reached up a paw and began to stretch it out towards the green mass, ready to jerk it back again if Goop made any sudden moves.
"Ya, I guess. It just...wasn't what I was expecting it to be like at all, so far." He replied, "I mean, building and defending a sandcastle against giant crabs and a sea kraken? It was a little odd." More books out of the box, more books placed on the shelf.
"I've seen pictures, but I've never actually met a Jiang Shi before. Most of my horde..my family..were born in Halloween and we pretty much just stuck together. Until I came to Amityville, all I ever knew were other zombies like me." He smiled, as he began flipping through the pages of one of her chinese books. The pictures were indeed quite nice.

"Mmm, good point. Would still be pretty neat to see though." Mei said as she pondered just exactly Yin's transformed form looked like. Probably totally gruesome. She continued to empty the box of Goop's stuff, placing most of it off to the side for now. She'd set it all up later once more of the boxes were out of the way.
Her eyes lit up as the boil mentioned DDD. She clasped her hands together. "OH! I love DDD!!" Standing up, she twirled in a small circle on her toes, her arms held out from her body to balance herself. "I love anything that has to do with dancing really. But DDD is just so much fun cause its something to just do in your spare time. I'd say nothing you really have to put much time into competing for, but I've heard there are DDD competitions every now and again."
She leaned forward and broke down the empty box in front of her before flopping to the floor and propping her elbow on another box. "Are you pretty good at it? Maybe we can play a few rounds."
He watched Fei as he stretched out its paw towards him. The Feslime flicked his tendril tail against the bed again. In one quick movement two other goopy tendrils shot out and wrapped around the Vaisel, pulling it in close and turning the kitten end over end so that Goop could inspect it more closely. Goop burbled before pulling Fei in close and giving his head a gooey lick before setting him back down on the bed with a satisfied bubble.
Mei giggled, covering her mouth just slightly. "That does sound odd. But I guess with this place 'odd' is to be expected."
"Well now you have met one." She brushed some stray hair out of her eyes. "When I was 'born' I didn't know anything. Not who I was, where I was, what I was. I was extremely lucky that my adoptive family found me when they did or else I'd probably be still wandering around clueless."

Alex was happy to see that she enjoyed DDD, it being one of his favorites and all. "I love dancing too." He admitted, though it would be hard to tell since he just appeared to be so stiff and clumsy, and well, almost painfully slow in his movements. But there was just something about dancing, something that changed things for him. He wasn't just some slow, shambling undead thing anymore. He could move, and he could move well.
At the mention of DDD competitions, his smile may have perked up even higher, if that was possible. "Ya, actually, I competed in a competition once. I uh...ended up in first place! Though I'm..not exactly sure how fierce or practiced my competition was, honestly." He shrugged, not really thinking it was a big deal or anything, though he still caught flack from it from that white haired ghoul, Levi. She even gave him a humorous scarentines day card related to his dancing. "I'd never turn down an offer to play a few rounds." He concluded, already making plans in his mind for a future trip to the maul with the petite Jiang Shi ghoul.
Fei was fast, and Fei was agile, but there was just no way the little vaisel kitten could have been prepared for what happened to him next. The tendrils whipped out at him, and he let out a very startled hiss and spit as he was suddenly lifted into the air and physically harassed by the feslime. It ended up with him being licked (or rather, slimed), and set back down, even as he struggled and squirmed to get away. Once he was put down he made a beeline off of the bed and hid behind some boxes, furiously licking at his paws and attempting to wash away the goo covering the side of his face.
"That...sounds awfully lonely?" He frowned, his smile suddenly disappearing. He was, so far, the only zombie type creature at the school that he knew of that had been born in the traditional pumpkin fashion, and had been raised by a family, with two parents, and siblings. "But yes, quite fortunate. My family, well, my horde I should say, have often adopted uh..well, we, me and my cousins, we call them 'strays'." He hoped the Jiang Shi wasn't offended by the term. He quickly pulled out the last of the books and shoved them onto the shelf, nodding towards it when he was finshed.
"Empty..." He murmured, waiting to see if she had another task to set him upon.

Clapping her hands together, she quickly rubbed them together. "Alright then. You. Me. DDD. I have to take on the champion!" Mei giggled. The ghoul was curious to see what kinds of movies the zombie had. He didn't seem to be too fast or agile, but looks were always deceiving. And people could surprise you every now and again. And if he had won first place...well there was just no denying it. He would be a good person to have a little competition with.
She, herself, was pretty good at DDD. Heck, dancing was one of her undead life's loves. Though she generally preferred more graceful dances, there was just something about DDD that felt good to do. Perhaps it was because you could be free to do whatever you wanted instead of some strict dance moves that one had to do when performing. You could really just let loose and have fun.
Goop let his more solid form melt in which he became the gooey pile of slime upon the bed once more. He meant no harm to the kitten and were merely curious. But if it wanted to run and hide behind some boxes he wasn't going to give chase. He was too comfy on the bed to really put any effort into his curiosity beyond this.
Mei pursed her lips lightly, clicking her tongue against the roof of her mouth. "Well, it is kinda lonely if you aren't found by a...I guess you could call them clans. Or whatever, group? Something. They make it their duty to wander the graveyards and pick up any newly 'born' Jiang Shi. Take them in, care for them and teach them what they are." The ghoul remembered when she first clawed her way out of her burial spot. "Its like one big family. There's the head Jiang Shi that are like a mother and father. And you grow up with other Jiang Shi who are around your death age. So it really is kind of like a family environment. In all honesty, the Jiang Shi just want to make sure they don't have any rogues wandering around untaught and sucking the souls out of living creatures willy nilly."
The ghoul looked about at the boxes that were left. They were really just filled with random things that she could probably put away herself pretty easily. "Mmmm, well. I think I should be able to finish putting away most of the rest of this stuff. So if you'd like to take a break from unpacking them feel free. Or if you have other obligations feel free to go to them as well." She winked. "I'm sure you're itchin to go see your boilfriend."

Alex was always game for DDD, and he was oddly proud of how well he could play the game. "You're on." He grinned wickedly, though he knew that Jiang Shi were well known (in Halloween, at least) for being graceful, so it would definitely be an interesting match-up!
Fei continued to ignore goop now, far too busy trying to de-slime his own face, rubbing at it over and over again with a licked paw and somehow almost looking severely disgusted, though that was quite a feet with his tiny, feline features. One day, he was going to be all grown up, and then that globby mass of green was gonna be in trouble!
"Aw, well that's good that you got to be around other Jiang Shi as well, then! I grew up in a horde of zombies, born and raised in Halloween, so I'm uh, not really sure what being resurrected must be like." He reached up to run a hand through his unkempt and unruly white hair, as he glanced around at the rest of the boxes on the floor.
"You sure you don't want anymore help? I'm not really that busy..." Though he had to give her a return grin for the wink, since yes, he was pretty much ready to go and see Yin anytime, though that's not exactly where he had been intending on heading when he had left his room today.
Fei, having finished cleaning himself, strutted (or rather, waddled on his chubby kit legs, though he was trying pretty hard to strut) out from behind the boxes, and without pause, climbed up Alex's pantleg, shirt, and up to his shoulder perch, nuzzling his face against Alex's neck, which made him wince and shudder and nearly fling the vaisel kit to the floor, though he somehow managed to stop himself. "Don't do that" he hissed to the little minipet, even though Fei hardly understood.
"Well, okay then! It was nice to meet you, Mei!" He raised his hand in a goodbye wave, as he slowly began backing up towards the door, though he stumbled and had to catch himself on the wall when he backed into a box and clipped the side of it with his skeletal foot.
Woops, so much for a smooth exit! She would probably never believe he was a DDD champion now! Oh well.
And with that he turned and walked out of her room, leaving her to finish with her boxes.

Mei was glad that he accepted her challenge. It would certainly be fun. If he had the moves that he boasted he had well she'd surely be in for a good challenge indeed.
She waved a hand. "Nah, its cool. I've got the rest of these." Standing up, she slid a few boxes out of the way. Raising a brow at his reaction to Fei nuzzling against his neck.
That reaction was interesting. But she wouldn't question it.
"It was nice to meet you too Alex! Don't be a stranger ok? I still gotta meet Yin and knock you off your throne in DDD!" The ghoul grinned as he tripped slightly on a box on his way out. Giving her head a small shake before heading toward the door. "Hopefully by the next time you see me I'll have all this put away. I'll see you later!"
With that she moved the rest of the boxes back into her room and quietly closed the door. Turning around and putting her hands on her hips as she stared at the last of the boxes. "Well Goop. Guess its just us again for now. Lets see where we can set up all your stuff hmm?" The Feslime burbled but made no motion to move from the bed.
