The feet of the boy would lightly tap against the ground on the crowded street he walked. His eyes of crystal blue not looking up from his own foot steps, which seemed more like a waltz than a walk. His mouth muttering numbers while he did step. His blonde hair bouncing while the stale look on his face stayed. He'd allow his hand to rub against his chest everyso often to touch a pendant in the shape of the religious sec he belonged to. The boy's name was Dorian. And with this walk through the city, marked his first real day as a Noble within Lioness's wall. He was Count Iverson, 2nd cousin to Count Ignis. The former count's legacy wasn't much to Dorian's liking, as money and noble affairs weren't in his previous profession. Though in this waltz, he was focused on how many steps it took to get from the gate to the nearest bakery. It seemed he was well over 1000 steps into the city, and nothing caught his scent. The boy was vigilant in his quest, though he felt the hunger taking over as he continued on.
The short maiden weaved her way through the crowded streets of Lionis’s Capital City, unsure where to go. She was supposedly heading for the castle to begin her employment as a maid, but unfortunately she had gone adrift. She carried her satchel, trying not to collide into anyone as she made her way down the street. The noisy and occupied avenues of Lionis made her even more anxious, feeling as if she were a missing puppy looking for her mother. She momentarily stepped off the street, supporting herself against a wall, away from all the commotion of the on-the-go city. This was her first time in the actual city, the center of a busy empire, people running and bustling by.

Felt his mouth muttering the numbers while he stepped through the byways of the city and looked round. His Sapphire eyes looked each corner as he sniffed the air lightly for a bit of nutriment while his eyes studied the people. He was of nobility now, but kept in his mind and heart where he grew up, and what he believed in. He was to the throne as a knight to a king. He'd do anything in his power to become strong enough to take back what is his. His mouth letting out a low sigh while he walked almost aimlessly until he reached the point he was at the day prior and looked over. His eyes saw someone he who looked lost as he was the other day. His eyes merely locked onto them as he let his cape cover his arms and his hand rest on his blade lightly. He was interested in seeing what the maiden would do.
Christine strolled around the city in a slow pace, taking in the details she has seen a hundred times before. Perhaps she already knows the place like the back of her hand, but there always seems to be something she missed - maybe a trivial detail like how one of the bricks on the road are of a slightly different hue than the others, or maybe how one of the buildings have gained a new small scratch. Mundane things displayed blatantly to all, but remain unnoticed because they're that insignificant.
'Ah, it seems they finally repainted that house.' She thought as she took a seat on an empty bench, hands settling beside her. She looked around leisurely, this time not looking at anything in particular. Her fingers began tapping the beat of a popular song being performed in taverns as her mind began to wander. Mornings like these were the perfect time to take things slow and contemplate about matters.
I prefer the manga over the anime though. And I haven't read the recent updates >.> (Do they even have an update? I believe it's referred to as HiatusxHiatus now XD)

▼Voice ▼Where: City of Lionis ▼Thoughts: Finally escaped those escorts.
XXXGareth had numerous plans for the day, that nearly all included finding and reading specific books. In order to fuel his ever constant habit, he had to make his bold adventure outside the safe walls of his home. Being a sickly person, he rarely left the castle walls, and when such times were needed. It was normally in very quick and brief moments that he would venture outward. However today, he was feeling more adventurous than normal, taking to heart a line from a specific book that he had read recently. "Get out and explore the world, not everything can be learned from the pages of a book.". After a brief period, he would eventually find away to rid himself of the annoying escort's that his father had placed on him, whilst outside the castle walls. Gareth was a sickly person, and by no means fit for combat. But given the time, he could very well end a combat situation with his ability.
After a bit of walking, he could feel his sickly body begging for a sort of rest at least. With a heavy sigh and slightly ragged breath he would take a seat on a close bench. It took a couple of moment's to realize that someone else had been sitting there. It was an admittedly bad habit of his, being raised in solitude, he often never looked for other people. "I apologize, is this seat taken?" he would speak to the dark haired girl. He doubt that she knew who he was. Probably the least well known of the whole royal family, due to his hermit like nature. And the rather large scarf wrapped around his face, could also throw someone off.
O.O.C...

Startled out of her thoughts, her eyes suddenly snapped to the man who was suddenly beside her. 'No good. Putting down your guard is no good.' She internally shook her head at herself for losing herself in her own thoughts.
'Slightly suspicious.' Was her first impression of the stranger. There are only a few types of people who'd cover themselves. Famous people would cover themselves up. Criminals would also cover themselves up. Conservative people would also cover themselves up. The edge of her mouth twitched slightly in amusement at the thought. 'It's entirely possible he's just that conservative. Although, it's really none of my business at this point in time.'
"Ah, no, go ahead." She gave him a polite smile, and scooted away from him for a bit to give him more space on the bench. "No need to be courteous since you seem to be a bit tired. Are you alright?"

XXXGareth had no reason to hide his face, he simply felt slightly cold in the weather. His sickly body often getting chills more than anything. Looking over to the woman, he would lower down his scarf slightly, as to show that he was friendly. "Thank you." he replied, taking a bit more room on the bench, before throwing his head backwards to breath. "Curse physical activity." he ranted to himself, as he listened to the ringing in his ears. A clear sign that he had approached his limit. Looking down from his upward gaze he would lightly smile towards the stranger. "I'm fine. Just a weak body I suppose." he chuckled lightly. Pulling a book from his coat pocket, he would lean in intently before remembering he was in the presence of another person.....again. "Oh dear me. I apologize again!" he laughed, closing the book and placing it down beside him. "My name is Gareth." he finished.

"Hm, taking in the fresh morning air should be good for your health." In Christine's mind, when someone says they're sickly, she imagines them to be cooped up at home all the time due to the fact that their body can't support them. Maybe it's the same for this guy? If that was so, then she found it understandable that he would exert some effort to be able to see the scenery outside. "But don't push yourself too hard, alright?"
"It's quite alright, really." Her polite smile melted into a more genuine expression, amusement twinkling in her eyes. The other party seemed to have made himself comfortable without realizing it and it was adorable he felt the need to apologize - it's not like she owned the bench. Him expressing friendliness towards her was enough to garner her goodwill. "My name's Christine."
A beat of silence later, she added, "I'm not sure if our brief encounter's enough for me to say, 'it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance,' but I suppose this is a fairly nice encounter." She lazily closed her eyes and leaned back as her fingers started tapping to an invisible rhythm.
'Have I heard he name Gareth before?' The gears in her mind turned to process the information. Analyzing new information always came to her as the natural course of action; it was something she did subconsciously at this point. 'A lot of people could have the same name. Though, a Gareth with a weak body... Maybe this much is too little to conclude anything - well, putting that aside, someone who carries a book with him might be interested in-'
"Right, have you ever gone to the library?" Her fingers abruptly stopped as she opened her eyes and turned to him, glancing for a moment at the book he carried.
The maid heaved a sigh of relief, she was getting a bit worn-out, despite that the day has just commenced. A sensation tickled her neck, she looked up and locked eyes with a strange man, one with golden hair and well sewn clothes. She stiffened, maintaining the gaze for an awkwardly long time before breaking away. She decided to ask this man for directions, he seemed to know his way around. She approached him, weaving her way around the people populating the area. "E-excuse me sir, I'm a bit lost, would you help me?"

XXXGareth would breath heavily for a bit, his breath clearly strained from the short stroll he had taken. Eventually his breath would calm down, settling at a more even pace. "Ha ha." he laughed slightly, looking towards the new face. "Well, Christine. Allow me to say it first then. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." he finished, sticking his hand out slightly for something of a hand shake. After another brief intermission of Gareth wiping the thin layer of sweat from his brow, he would listen to the girl speak for a moment before returning back to respond.
"I practically live in one." he chuckled again, gripping hold of the book that he had brought with him. Gareth, also being analytic and intellectual had followed the arc of Christine's gaze to the book at his hand. "Oh this? General Edmond VII's book on 'Weather's of The Battlefield.' A nice gem that I've been reading through as of late." he finished, placing the book down in between the two.
O.O.C...I do apologize so much! My job is very time sensitive. And sadly I was forced away this week. Please forgive me! <3

'Nope, totally don't know that book. Maybe I should give it a read?'◊←
Christine hummed as she reached out for his hand and gave him a firm handshake. The strange rush that enters her mind at the slightest physical contact was something she has never grown used to. It felt wrong - putting aside the fact that it was invasive to the other party, she always felt as if it were their thoughts that invaded her mind.
'Certainly not as extensive a reader as you probably are?' She replied in her mind. It was a useless endeavor, of course, as the sending of thoughts has always been one-sided to her.
"Ah, that sounds nice. To live in a place where you're practically surrounded by the things you like, I mean." Her eyes went over the book's cover, noting the name and appearance of the book and keeping it at the back of her mind. "Hm, maybe I'll give it a read sometime." She replied lightly. She probably won't be actively seeking the book, but maybe she'd check it out when she has the spare time.
She looks back up when she notices some movement at the corner of her eye. 'Guards. They don't seem to be headed anywhere in particular. In fact, they're all over the place. Are they looking for someone? Or maybe something?'
It's quite alright^^ It makes sense to prioritize real life because.. well, we live in real life..? Haha. The RP day hasn't ended so I don't mind too much.

▼Voice ▼Where: City of Lionis ▼Thoughts: A reader?
XXXGareth would smile slightly at the reaction of the girl, happy that at least someone in this world was a decent person. "Ah yes, most would agree with you I suppose." he replied, looking down towards the ground. It only took a few moment's for Gareth to notice the guards around the area. In response to the sudden influx of guard's he would pull up his scarf slightly, covering his face a bit more. "Yes, yes It is a good read. However, only if you plan on fighting in a war.". His face adopting a slightly more serious expression. "However! I will do my best to make sure that war's are something of the past." he quickly followed, his previously serious expression melting off slightly. "So Christine. May I ask at what bring's you to this lovely...bench today?" he asked, attempting to keep the conversation alive.
"I'm sure it has its uses even if we weren't fighting a war. Books are lovely like that." Christine smiled slightly as Gareth assured her that he would do his best to make wars a thing of the past. It sounded like a naive idea; there was so much to do if wars were to be made obsolete. But he didn't sound like someone who knew nothing of what he was talking about. "Is that so... thank you, I guess. No one likes war, after all. Except maybe merchants, hearing that there's money in warfare."
His words also began filling the gaps in the conclusions her mind had come to. 'He... sort of slipped up. If he was trying to hide his identity, anyway. Though I don't think I have the full details.' It would be difficult for someone with a sickly body to fight at the forefront of battlefields but he sounded like he could be deeply involved with wars - he could be something like a tactician or a strategist. But a mere strategist can't possibly have the confidence of being able to do something to make wars a thing of the past, as they don't stop wars - they fight wars. So he must be something much higher, but with an almost sure influence on war. An envoy, or an ambassador. And only the most trusted ones could possibly take this role... 'I'll stop my thoughts there. It shouldn't matter much, really, and this is just mostly conjecture so I should take this with a grain of salt.'
"So Christine. May I ask at what brings you to this lovely... bench today?"
She inadvertently snorted at the question. "Lovely bench, really?" She was grinning now, eyes silently teasing him with his choice of words. It was such a ridiculous way to keep a conversation going, but it was working. "Early mornings are, arguably, the best part of a day. I chanced upon this lovely bench as I took a walk around the city. How about you, Gareth? If I may ask what had brought you here?"
