A girl stripped down to her underthings.

Otto suddenly liked this party.
PostPosted: Fri Mar 23, 2012 1:39 am

Allan seemed pretty impressed, all things considered. Sure, his pants were kind of chafing, and sure, he personally thought that trainer should have gone with the Jigglypuff costume, it was much more practical after all, but sometimes, one could not always get what they wanted.

"All right, trainers debriefing first." The Sun leader stated rather matter-of-factly, pulling out a brochure. On the brochure wrote POKEMON EXPO 2012, with a giant picture of an inflated pokeball, and people running around, namely people half the age of this current assembled group. "A disruption has been spotted at this very, very haunted location. It is up to you, in disguise to discover the source of the haunting and capture them. Key word is capture, you are all big kids now, Allan-taichou believes in you."

Before any trainee could back the ******** out, he had already opened the closet door to his living room. Which was also a very convenient portal room that went really, all sorts of fun places. They entered through the door and - out the women's washroom. It was still abandoned at this time of the day so honestly, it could have been worse, though a few kids passing by did give the trainees an odd look.

The convention itself was still in its set up process and not terribly busy. Giant pokemon-shaped floats, stands, littered to the brim with only pokemon paraphernalia assaulted the trainees' eyes.

With that Allan-taichou walked over to the ticket concession booth, remarking very loudly, "I would like to purchase one adult and five kids." There was some conversation from the ticket person who kindly told Allan that kids were aged six to twelve, but after five minutes where the Sun leader simply stood and grinned at them, they finally resigned and simply charged him the actual price. Allan didn't notice a thing at all, but did come back rather happily with the convention badges. "Okay, put these on, they are part of your disguise. If you see anything strange, contact me immediately, okay, peace out trainers!"

He said this as they were just nearing the ticket gate, and the second they headed in, the Sun leader was nowhere to be seen. For a man who was by no means short or slim, he sure moved rather fast. Fortunately, they could also hear him talking to some kids about a third his age about trading Pikachu cards.

Yeah, it was best to ignore him for now, and find this mysterious "disruption" if there was even such a thing.

OOC: LOOKING FOR A DISRUPTION

- Your trainee is now walking around looking for anything out of place. The crowd has begun to fill up a little more, and the whole place is packed with kids: your trainee might be JUST a little old for this but hey, at least they're not Allan. Roll a 100-sided dice and match your dice roll to the results below to wander around. You can roll up to two times for now: think of this similar to an EM.

1-20: You see a whole group of kids playing Pokemon cards, but there are three kids oddly dressed, not even in costume, standing a little beyond the group, simply staring. They look odd, and as you walk over to get a closer look, they disappear entirely.
21- 40: You hear a mother yelling at one of the security guards about something, to call an ambulance immediately, and curiously, you walk over. Their kid is crying hysterically, using their hand to cover one wound. When the security guard asks the kid to lift their hand, you can see a thick gash running along the child's head.
41 - 60: Someone seems to be following you, but when you turn around, you don't see anything, just mounds of kids. You do however, hear a voice. "I never have any fun."
61 - 80: You think you see something, but the kids everywhere make it hard to see. Suddenly a kid comes up to you and asks to take a photo of you. You better pose....
81 - 100: You notice a little away in a corridor that the lights are acting oddly close to the washrooms. You walk over, and see a child huddled in the corner. He is covering his bleeding head with one hand, staring right up at you. When you walk closer, they are gone.

.....Debriefing first.

Those words were so beautiful.

No really, Cass wasn't sure how long it had been since she'd heard such beautiful poetry from a Division Leader. Even if what everything Allan said after that was pure nonsense (to some extent), Cass would love him forever for debriefing first. It was like a choir of angels. So beaitful. So rare. So benevolent.

Swoon.

However, it seemed like they were going to a very special place, and Cass found it was hard to not be excited to be running around a pokemon convention. She was like a little kid. If she hadn't been before, she was degrading into one even as Allan bought their entry tickets, on the verge of kirakiraing all over. No really, no Halloween as a kid had ruined her dressing-up funtimes and ohhhh she was going to reap her bounty as much as she could in one day.

When Allan vanished, so did Cass....

She would be found with a group of kids playing with the cards, rambling about the new sets of them and..commenting on how OP they were. The jerks. Jerk-cards were jerks as far as she was concerned, and she found herself nearly getting into a fight with the kids over them. She was that passionate about something that everybody else had deemed they were too old for.

She glanced up from her epic shout-off, noting a couple of not-dressed-up kids looming nearby, hopping up to go talk to them.

"What do you think? Are the new cards too......"

To...
uhh..

"Hmmm...."

Had she lost track of them when she'd blinked?

There were several long moments of silence as Gale stared blankly at Allan - during which about a dozen different questions raced through his mind, half of them nonsensical, part of them mostly swear words, and the last of which were Why the hell am I wearing this again?! and Why does he have a portal in his living room closet?!

There wasn't much time to ask any of these questions, however, since the next minute they were shuffled through the door and into the portal and Gale suddenly found himself in the midst of chaos.

Or rather, lots and lots of kids. An explosion of kids.

And lots and lots of Pokemon.

What the heck, Allan?!

Needless to say Gale was just a tad disgruntled about his rather unorthodox "uniform" - but just because he looked ridiculous did not mean he was not going to take this mission - if that's what it was - as serious as possible. He straightened the ears on his head (all the while determining how much petrol it would take to burn them afterwards), pulled his sweatshirt down, and turned to ask Allan a question.

...Allan who was not there anymore and whose voice could be heard somewhere to Gale's left blathering on about Pikachu cards.

User Image

Why Allan why.

<< You look simply dashing. >>

Shut up. Are you laughing? I can hear you laughing.

<< I am not laughing. I am merely expressing my undying amusement at your predicament in a calm and presentable way. >>

You're laughing. That's definitely laughing.

<< I'm laughing. You look hilarious. >>

Gale sighed. He was about to just turn around and mingle the crowds, but a sudden, panicked voice caught his ear. Turning his head, he caught sight of a stricken looking woman clutching her handbag to her chest, her other hand wrapped around that of a small child's. Gale slipped quietly closer, brows furrowing. It was difficult to hear what they were saying over the din of the hundreds of people milling about, but he could catch snatches of the conversation...

"...lift your arm now, that's a good sport - "

Gale's eyes widened, then narrowed. There was a thick gash across the child's face, blood seeping into his pale colored hair, and he was sobbing frantically, his mother trying desperately to staunch the bleeding. The guard beside her was speaking into his walkie-talking, a series of beeps and fuzzy static emitting from it.

...strange, thought Gale, and looked around for what might have caused the accident - but nothing immediately caught his eye - and only a few spared a glance for the injured kid.

Gale frowned, idly tugging on one of his "ears."

Very strange...

Otto had a feeling the only reason Allen made them all do this, was so he had an excuse to go to a convention. In fact, he was sure of it.

The young hunter grumped along, trying to ignore any children that approached him. That proved difficult, since he was dressed as a giant Mudkip. Soon, flickering lights caught his attention. Anxious to get away from the crowds, Otto entered the corridor, following the strange sights. Ah, peace and quiet away from all the craziness of screaming children.

But Otto found he was no alone. Looking down, up ahead, he saw a child huddled in a corner. Upon a closer look, he seemed to be bleeding. While Otto generally didn't give a s**t for people he didn't know, a little kid bleeding from the head wasn't something he felt he could ignore.
"Oi.. you okay?" He asked, getting closer.

But the child vanished.

Had it been a trick of the eyes? Imagined it? Or maybe Allen really did bring them here for an investigation. Otto took note of what happened and left the corridor.

To be honest, the second the sun division leader abandoned them to join a group of kids in an exchange of pokemon cards, Ryan had lost all faith that Allan was taking this mission seriously. Hell, forget the mission, he was pretty damn sure the sun division leader just wanted to be at the convention! Still, he might as well have a look around. After all, there could be some truth to his words about this place being haunted...

With a grumble, he opted to move further into the crowd; ducking his head and hiding it beneath his hood as best he could.

:Why hide? Its not like these snot nosed brats are going to know you here.:

It matters..! The last thing I want is for these kids to---

:Hey look there's that Gale kid!: Locke interrupted, drawing the moon trainee's attention toward a growing crowd ( plus a taller pikachu ) and a wailing child at its center. A child who, once the security guard got him to remove his hand, revealed a rather large gash across his head.

:Maybe the kid fell down..?:

And leave a gash that size? I doubt it. No. Something was definitely responsible for that wound.

Otto continued to walk through the crowds, dodging rampaging kids and trying not to punt them like footballs. Out of the corner of his vision, he thought he saw something. Otto moved to follow, but was blocked off by a group of children.

They stared at him. They wouldn't budge.

Otto refused to acknowledge them, trying to be as silent as possible.

"Can we take your picture?" One asked, holding up their little camera, eyes shining expectantly.

I can't even see what you...

Otto sighed, not wanting to blow his cover. However, he crossed his arms, and just didn't move. The children gathered around him, posing with peace signs as the other child took his time taking the picture.

Help me...

Since Gale was already present, Ryan figured he'd continue to look around, perhaps for the one responsible for the kids injury. That was the plan. Unfortunately before he could move even two steps forward, he felt something tugging at his... tail.

Oh for the love of--what now?

With a scowl on his face, the moon trainee turned to glare at---to glare down at the culprit, only for his scowl to be met with a gap toothed grin.

"Can I take your picture?"

:Ohoh! Lucky you!: Locke squealed into his mind.

"I'd rather not... Can't you find another, err... Meowth to take a picture of?" He asked, hoping the kid could take a hint.

He couldn't.

"I dun wanna!" The kid complained, raising the camera to snap a picture, regardless of Ryan's answer. Annoyed, Ryan moved to swipe the camera out of the kid's hands, but succeeded only in giving the kid a classic 'scratch attack' pose for his picture.

She hadn't been able to find the other boys again after another check of the area, frowning from it, but having none the less taken some time to enjoy all of the festivities going on: Playing some games of cards, posing for a couple of pictures, generally running around like an idiot. Cassandra was having a blast. Full of joy - enjoying all the things/i].

Especially the free water. It seemed every 6 minutes she had a new glass of it which would be chugged away within the next 2. Probably because it was so hot in the building and there were so many bodies.

Still, it was not a surprise when little miss Cass-Blissey suddenly really had to pee, going running through the convention at a dead speed towards the hallway where the restrooms were. Resistance? Nobody got in the way of a girl her size shrieking 'GET OUT OF THE WAY, I GOTTA PEEEEEEEEEEEEEE' at the top of her lungs. Shameless? Cass? What was Shame?

Nope.

Couldn't find it here.

Never the less, even with her borderline pee-pee dance going on, she stood at the end of the hallway where the bathrooms were, looking at the flickering lights suspiciously, a frown forming on her face. Something about it all seemed...familiar..to Cass, not exactly sure how to place it. It was ominous, she didn't like it.

Even as she walked down, it seemed to get colder. More ominous. It made her gut sink with familiarity. A boy sitting in the corner got a curious look as he cradled his head, Blissey!Cass walking towards the child to go and touch his shoulder.

"Hey.... are you alright?" she asked. The boy looked up at her for a moment before his face melted away and he vanished with a blink her eyes. Gone.

Completely.

Like a ghost.

Ghost.

Ghost ghost ghost.

Ghost.

A small amount of rage welled up in her int he absence of the figure, but she couldn't linger on it for too long before her bladder reminded her why she was there.

Dakota frowned as he played with the droopy ears before shrugging. Hell, if this was the uniform for a mission then he would do it. It wasn't like he dressed in worst....okay. It wasn't like he went to a con when he was 15, all scrawny and tall dressed as Tai from Digimon...okay that would be ridiculous.

So when the portal dropped them into the Pokemon Expo whatever, Dakota only blinked before..."Oh mannnnnnnnn." He ran his hand sheepishly over the ear of his eevee costume.

"Hey that man just came out of the little's girls room?" Dakota blinked as he heard the faint sounds of little children giggling at him and then....

Oh god there was a hundred little kids surrounding them. Seriously? SERIOUSLY!?!? THEY WERE HUNTING FOR A CREATURE AMONG KIDS?!?

Dakota just...what?

"I'm not a ********-" He stared as Allan got the badges and placed them on him before nodding. Whatever. Get in, get out. Oh shiny hologram Blastoise.

NO DAKOTA, NO LETTING YOUR KID SELF RUN LOOSE.

That being said, the group of pokemon hunters split to look around. Dakota leisuraly took his time though as girl's a couple years younger then him came up. Of course...he took advantage of the fact that he was in fact one of the most adorablest pokemon possible, getting hugs and other stuff.

Satisfied, his ears perked up as he heard the loud sound of a mother yelling at a guard.

"Oh look at you Ryan." Dakota blinked as he came over to his friend just in time to see the guard lift the boy's arm up, a gash spread across his forehead that dribbled blood. "That's pretty damn weird..." He nodded before heading off, taking note of it. He was pretty sure Gale and Ryan had both seen it too.

Dakota wandered away from the mother and kid, his hands tucked into the eevee costume pockets before debating on it.

Then he bumped into a hot girl with a deck full of cards who challenged him. Dakota didn't like to miss out on challenges...except he had no cards. "I would babe, but I got shorted on pokemon cards..."

"Babe? I'm only 14yrs old." The girl looked at him with a giggly blush.

"And I'm only out of here dammit..." Oh god, he had hit on a 14yr old. He'd hit on jailbait. HE WAS NO LONGER ALLOWED TO HIT ON FELLOW JAILBAIT.

Dakota frowned at Chama before shrugging. All females were cute in his mind.

Speaking of cute females, Little Blissey Cass just ran past him on the way to the bathroom. A fact he couldn't help but laugh over as she shoved people out of the way shouting "I GOTTA PEE......" Dakota watched her run across to the bathrooms and then...the lights flickered. For a instant, his heartbeat stopped a little.

It was nothing.

Or Cass could be in danger. They were here to inspect things....Things that could very well attack back.

"Cass wait..." He pushed towards the hallway, losing sight of Cass. What he saw instead was a child, with a injury the same like the mother and child from before huddled in the corner.

"Hey..Hey are you alright?" Dakota moved closer to the boy who scrambled in the corner, "Where's your mom kid?" Dakota looked away to see if any adult came to claim the boy, and when he looked back.

"What the ********?" Kid was gone. "******** weird." Was all he could say before heading out. One: Didn't want Cass to think he was a creeper and following her in the bathroom, Two: He needed to tell Allan what was up.

Where was the big man now?

Allan had not moved from his spot, and was currently in the midst of playing his sixth undefeated Pokemon card game challenge. Upon seeing Dakota arrive back, he gave the trainee a casual wave. "Yo, did you find anything?" Two kids were currently perched on his lap, and a third one was hanging from his neck as if the Sun leader was a toy tree.

Upon seeing Dakota's somewhat serious expression, Allan kindly pried the kids off his lap (and neck) and told them in an equally serious tone that they could have all of his spare cards - though he did take his main cards. Loud squeals and the sound of children and parents fighting each other over cards was pretty much the scene of carnage left in his wake as he ushered the Moon trainee away from the more populated areas, quickly spotting the other trainees and gesturing for them to come report as well.

"So, status update." He rubbed his chin thoughtfully, pausing for a second longer as a starry-eyed kid asked for a photo of them, which he was happy to pose and oblige for the whole team. A second longer for them to wander off. "How did it go, trainer-tachi, did you find anything unusual here? I would have helped but you know, I wanted to see how you did, give you more experience and all."

Or he just really wanted to come here to play Pokemon cards and had used his mission as the perfect cover up. One had to wonder what ghosts were doing here in the first place.

Otto came as Allen gathered them back, an unseen grumpy expression behind his costume. Every inch of him was rigid as Allen volunteered them for a photo.

Report. Finally.

"I saw some kid bleeding from the head in an alley, but when I got close he disappeared." Otto informed Allen with a disinterested tone. "Thought I saw something else in the crowd after but I lost it."

Cass - post bathroom venture - looked absolutely pissed. Er, well.... in the emotional sense, not in the...... oh dear. In fact, she was so out of character for a character called 'Blissey' in that moment, but further than that - when had Cass actually gotten angry about stuff? She normally was too chill to be getting mad about things - even Rep couldn't set her off, she considered him to just be a bit broken, but otherwise fun.

"Why are there ghosts here?" she hissed, obviously just livid about the fact that of anything there were ghosts. It was like a blast from the past and going haunted-house hunting on camera again. Only this had a much better uniform. "There was a bleeding kid in the hallway where the bathroom is.." she glanced in the direction she just came from, "and I saw another trio off over there." she pointed over to where there was still a group of kids playing with Pokemon cards, her lips set.

They were kids. All she'd seen were kids there. Which meant....
...
...

Cass's gears turned from absolutely livid about ghosts to pondering why this building would be attracting the spirits of children - beyond the fact that the place was just... a child-hive at the moment. But was that the only reason?

Dakota waited until Allan was done with his game before stepping up. "sir-" And again he waited as Allan peeled off the monkeys from him before taking him to a more secluded area. He blinked as Cass and Otto joined them before nodding.

"Alright, So-" Dakota cursed as he was put into a blinding photo shoot with Allan before scowling. Damnit! Photo evidence of his ridiculous but little girl magnet costume.

Again he waited as Otto reported and Cass did before nodding.

"What they said sir. I happen to be passing by a mother and her kid with a police officer, Kid lifts his arm and there is a huge gash on his forehead. Mother is screaming..." Dakota frowned. "I followed Cass when the lights flickered near the bathrooms and saw a kid with the same wound like the other boy. I looked away for a second and he disappeared."

His frowned deepened. "If there is a possibility of a Ghost sir, then shouldn't we attempt to clear the area's around here?" He looked at the sheer amount of people and fandom around before thinking again, "Scratch that, there is no way to move all these people short of a emergency fire alarm and kids would more and less likely get hurt.

He looked around for Gale and Ryan, "I wanted to hear Gale and Ryan if they saw or heard anything but...." On thing was concrete. A boy was injured and had a gash over his head.....and Otto, himself and Cass had seen a different boy with the same wound.

"Are we dealing with a poltergeist? With all the kids and hormones..." He looked at the equally nerdy teenagers around, "This place would be ripe feeding grounds for a ghost...."
