Something seems to have separated from the mass of fog, staring hungrily in your direction. It tries to talk, but instead, hisses lowly, though you can make out a single word as it speaks.

Emily shivered and hunched down at the sound of that hissing whisper, holding tightly to her idol and scrunching her eyes as if maybe she could will the world back to normal, just this once.
Yeah, that worked about as well as could be expected.

Zar had gone to bed feeling tired and more than a little sore. Really, he wasn't built for this whole exercise thing, nor was he really built to be frozen, stabbed, crushed or eaten by snakes, but all of those were a given.
It had been a pretty cold night, cold enough that he'd actually opted to wear his PJ trousers to bed. Probably fortunate all things considered.
He shivered and stirred in his sleep, it seemed was still surprisingly cold that morning. In an effort to put off having to get up, he attempted to draw his wings a little bit closer, and to edge a little nearer to his sleeping partner. It didn't help, the breeze remained and he finally opened his eyes, intending at first to go see where the sheets had fallen off to.
Of course, he wasn't expecting there to be /no sheets/. At all. Nor for that matter a dorm. Or a school.
He sat bolt upright, probably elbowing the dog boil in the process and hissed.
"Nuru. Wake up."
He then edged a little away from him. Just for good measure, hoping no one had spotted him quite as /entangled/ with someone else.
Though if there was anyone else around, he couldn't tell them from the landscape. Despite groping around vaguely, he had no glasses to be found. He felt half blind. It made him more panicky than usual, even in his still sleepy daze.

"NOoooooooo!" Trembling at the creature's touch, Emily sniffled and moaned and tried to use magic to force the creature away from her.
Sadly Emily spent most of her school days as a shut in, instead of actually learning how to use magic.

Deciding her best bet was to simply cling as tightly as she could to the firm, nicely moisturized body of Johnny Danger, Emily did just that. Would the power of fangirl love protect her?

It took Herryk a few moments to realize that poor Emily was being attacked. Sending a disparaging glance in JD's direction, Herryk punched the monster in the face.

Oh Jack, she was crying. He could feel her sticky face press into his side as Emily threw herself at him, clinging with a tenacity he didn't know she possessed normally. He patted her back awkwardly, glancing around. JD had no idea what to do with a crying ghoul - generally that was his PR manager's problem, and he got to slink off. But not this time. They were a team, which was kind of like being in a band, and- Oh. He realized that she had, during his musings, begun to flail ineffectually at another shadowy assaulter. Man, he really sucked at this. He shuffled so that it was he facing off against the - annoying cloud thing, and not her. That was the right thing to do, right? Be a man? He made a sidelong glance at Herryk. Why didn't HE get to be the meat shield? He was clearly built for that sort of thing.He swatted at it, but missed. It was hard to see a fog monster when they were already enshrouded in, well, more fog. HP: 30/30 Damage: god damn it Mob HP: 4/10

Zar could hear a commotion nearby. Crying and yelling and generally a ruckus. He tried to see, but thanks to his lack of glasses, he couldn't see a damn thing, just vague shapes.
He got to his feet, wandering in the direction of what he hoped were friendly individuals, tottering unsteadily on his hooves, dressed in nothing but spreadsheet patterned PJ trousers. He was sure he recognized their vague blurry outlines, or at least JD's skin colour.
"H..hello?" he said, waving his arms in front of him as he walked. Arms with hands incidentally topped with wicked razor sharp, perfectly manicured claws.
He walked right into the wispy spirit.
And didn't even notice it had been there.

Nuru vaguely untangled himself from Zar at the elbow with an annoyed grunt. He lazily opened an eye at Zar's hissed voice, seeing he was fine he closed the eye again. Ears perked and alert though as they listened as Zar wandered further and further away. When he couldn't hear his hoofsteps anymore, he sat up.
"Where the Jack are you go-- oh... oh Jack." He realized a few things now. One, he wasn't waking up in a bed or indoors at all and two, wherever he was - he was butt naked.
He instinctively covered himself with his hands as his gaze shot around to make sure no one saw before his entire form shifted into shadows, slowly but surely his form twisted up revealing... a large white cat.
Not immediately noticing he slunk after Zar and attempted to sit at his side and smile up at him, his tail wagging.
