The cat eventually pulled herself away from adoring on the boy's ankles, seating her haunches down when she was far enough away to be able to see Virtus' face.
"Well, thank you kindly!" She nodded her head in his direction. "And thank you for the snack... sorry if I ate too much of it... but I love ice cream."
Fact was that ********* loved food in general. So she wasn't lying in saying she loved ice cream, it was just that she loved all sorts of other foods as well.
However, she had quite a bit of experience. Usually people were more forgiving if you mentioned you adored whichever food you just gobbled up from them.

"Oh, don't worry! I wouldn't have offered if I didn't think you'd enjoy as much as you wanted!"
Virtus smiled. It was not a lie, he just was not thinking of his word choice very hard. He would have offered, either way, and he would not have been offended if she had eaten more than he thought. It was not a big thing, and certainly not something he needed to correct in his diction.
He smiled and took a breath.
"I should probably be going now, though. I think it's a good time to go home and get some work done. I really liked meeting you, though! And talking to you. I hope we can meet again some time! I'll bring more ice cream." He laughed thought he definitely meant it. He would probably start walking around with it while on patrol, just in case.

When the boy voiced the desire to leave, the tailless animal stood up onto all four paws again. "I am a busy kitty, so I make no promises... but you might see me around... because I get around!"
With a bob of her head, she sprinted off, calling out "It was a pleasure to meet you, Virtus, see you around!" Now that she had a snack, she had other things to tend to. Those senshi weren't going to awaken themselves, afterall!
