He looked around, thinking it over quickly. "IF I can get some hot springs time in while I'm doin' it," he said decisively. "I've had a rough couple of days, y'know? And they're less likely to come into the hot springs--I bet they don't even know about them." Then he started for the cave, glancing at her with a strange expression once in a while.

"You sure this ain't gonna short circuit you or somethin?" he finally asked as they reached the entrance. "If you freeze up like that again I guess I could kick you or somethin--it works on my Skeevee!"

"OoOOOoooh so you want me to keep the hot springs quiet when I write out this article, huh?" Pepin chimed in curiously, immediately happy to have SOME form of cooperation from the boil.

"You can kick me if that happens buuuuuut-"

Pepin floated in past the reaper for a moment, suicidally into the water with a little splash. Her head poked out of the water and all of her pixels stopped floating. She didn't freeze, but her form became perfectly in-tact, the most anyone would have ever seen of Pepin complete. If anything she even looked as though she had some color back- and it was a good thing her bodysuit sort of worked as a swimsuit. It was as if she'd belonged there in the water. Really all it did though was stabilize her crazy form. Everything up top (mentally) was still scattered.

"I'll do my best to remember everything you say off the top of my head because I believe I just dropped my notebook in the uhm... in the water-" she said very cohesively.

He stared at her. He looked into the water. Then he dropped his vest and pants, revealing his black and red swim trunks, and climbed in. "Alright, let's get it over with," he said, sighing and leaning back against the side of the pool. "And no trying to drown me or anything, okay? I don't like drowning."

Pepin leaned back against the side of the the water, her expression hurt by Roch's warning. Why would she drown him? She wasn't some lady in the water. She was a glitch!

And then she noticed that the vest and pants came off.

She was a glitch very happy to see what was in front of her. "S.. so um," she cleared her throat and reclined her head. "You're in the trials right?" she then remembered his guitar. "Is your band your team??! Are you in a band? Er..." Without her notes she felt so off track.

"Yeah, I'm on team Ice Breakers. My drummer's on my team, but not the rest of them," Roch said, shrugging. "I did have Edel help with the music for the Christmastival play, so I guess in a way she's in my band too. At least she's in my club. I'm the president of the Fright Music Club," he explained. "And uh... the band's still in the 'making' process, so we don't really have a name or anything yet."

Obviously intrigued by the fact that she was talking to not only a club leader but also someone pretty authoritative in his band, Pepin's eyes grew wide as saucers. She'd have a hard time sticking to the subject of the trials here when there was something so much more personal to discuss.

"No name yet??" Pepin sounded disappointed and sunk a little in the water, the temperature not a big deal for her. "Well I'd really love to find out sometime I can always advertise you guys in Paranormal Post if you would like! We don't really... uh advertise anything outside of the school much cause of licensing and all that crap but.." The ghoul giggled suddenly. "Oh wow this is so exciting we could totally have a new column and everything-

Okay wait so about the trials again um.. um.. would you guys if there was a musical challenge do you think you could teach the rest of your team how to play in a short amount of time? I think that would be one tough challenge right?"

He thought about it. "Well, three of the five of us already play, y'know? And I don't know if Aksaja has any training or not, but I bet he could sing decently enough. Cept... as far as Moure goes, I would say probably no chance in hell," he decided. He'd figured this one a long time ago. "The boil goes way too fast to keep a decent beat."

He looked at her curiously. "You play anything?" he asked. Hey, there was always the chance!

Pepin snickered at 'the boil goes way too fast', only to find herself silenced by his next question which greatly intrigued her. "I don't play anything but I can repeat synthetic notes from any song really if I have it memorized," she paused and held up a finger before singing out a much more organic noise.

"Wait uh-"

The ghost pushed herself up on the ledge and out of the water momentarily, her figured immediately returning to distortion. She opened her mouth again then sung out a robotic sort of tune you would hear on the Condorcore 64. Even the fake snare drum came out replicated nicely. When she was done 'humming said tune' she dunked back into the water laughing. "But I haven't heard anything from you do you sing or just play the guitar or?"

"Well, I got perfect pitch hearing, y'know? It comes in handy when I gotta tune my guitar--but I don't got a perfect pitch voice," he said, grinning at her "singing" and trying not to laugh. Now that was an interesting talent. "So technically I can sing just fine, but I'm not on the same level as a professional singer--cuz I can tell, y'know? It's easier to let others do the singing and stick with what I really AM good at. I started playin' guitar when I was about six. I like to think ten years of training has me at a decent level."

But he wasn't going to summon his guitar in a hot springs. Playing in the water just struck him as silly.
