With that topic apparently settled, Alex grinned and proceeded to shovel more food in his mouth, the box of fried cockatrice quickly growing quite empty. He threw a few scraps and crumbs on the floor for his pets, who had finished their bits of rat and were now clustered around his chair, staring up at him in a very disconcerting way. There were three zombiejoxs, the black rabbit, the scentem death, and the undead poms. The cycorgi had pushed his way out of the closet and made a beeline to hide under the bed with it's captured rat piece prize, trying to keep it's food away from the undead mini's who were eyeing him like he might be food as well. Fei was on the bed, licking at his paws and flicking his tail back and forth.

"Weelll..I just...I guess I worry too much that we already spend so much time together that you might need a break away from me." he confessed, looking down at the few cockatrice pieces still left in the box. "So when I saw you today, I just wondered if maybe you needed some..space." He glanced up, feeling slightly ashamed of the assumption, since it appeared that he had been very wrong.

As the subject shifted somewhat, Alexander glanced over towards his bookshelf as well. "Well uh..no, not really. I like learning about all types of different things. I guess I don't really like to read about fire, but it's still nice to have knowledge about it in case of an emergency situation..." He just sort of let that sentence trail off, since in an emergency situation, Alex had gone running to Yin for help. All the knowledge in the world had probably fled his brain at that point in time.

And then she came out. The bane of Alex's minipets existance. She strut out of the open closet like she owned the place, and half of Alex's pets went to hide in their trash nests. The only one who stayed next to Alex's chair was the black rabbit, and he glared at the new arrival and hissed. She just looked at him ears twitching irritably. She was all pink and frilly and lacy and Alex sighed when he caught sight of her. "I really don't know what to do with that one." Alex confessed, as he reached in to draw out another drumbstick from his box, flipping it down on the floor for the victorian lace pet to consume. "I won her in some draw in the demon dorms..I don't think she likes me very much." Of course, Alex had no idea Yin had won a similar pet on the same day.

"I chose to bond with you. That means that I am willing to spend any amount of time with you and I do not require a "break." Though if you ever feel like you need space you should inform me and I shall do my best to comply."

Yeah, that bookshelf looked like Yin's worst nightmare. The zomboil could learn about all of the things, he was content to train. "The other day when I was in Ulmuka's room I learned about a bizarre human job. It appears that there are beings just devoted for fighting fires." Everyone in the Clan knew what to do in case of fire, and there really was no set job for it. Still it seemed...somewhat interesting. Like something that he could handle. Perhaps he could learn some of the techniques in case he ever needed to help Alexander, or any zombie really, again.

A new pet emerged and this...looked oddly familiar. He watched her as she began to feed, listening carefully. "How peculiar. She looks oddly like an egg I got...in...the demon dorms." Things were beginning to fall into place. "I...I did not realize that it was a pet." He looked rather ashamed. "I am afraid that I just put the egg in the closet when I brought it back..."

Alex nodded in understanding, though at this point he found it hard to believe he would ever require time away from Yin. He enjoyed the weremantis's company far too much and when he wasn't in his company spent far too much more time thinking about him. It was kind of horrible, but in the best way possible. And no matter how much he tried, he still couldn't wrap his head around why Yin had chosen to bond with him, but he accepted it happily, and gratefully.

Alex grabbed out the last piece of cockatrice, pausing before he ate it. "Do you have enough to eat there?" If Yin was still hungry, Alex would give him the last piece of his own dinner, though he doubted Yin would accept it. It was remarkable enough that Alexander would even offer. It would be doubly so if Yin accepted.

"Ulmuka? Oh, I met him on scarentines day, right?" and then "A human who fights fires?" That made Alex perk up a bit, though for some reason it made him think more of what a roasted human might taste like then the value of such a profession.

He was choosing to try and ignore the female pet that was eating her cockatrice leg off of the floor when Yin said that he had the same pet, only that he had shoved it in the closet. Alex had to laugh. "You should maybe..check on it?" He grinned, "Though if it's still in egg form I highly suggest leaving it that way. Mine spends most of her time in the closet, so it's not so bad but...ya, she's a pain when she's around." The pet in question, as though knowing that Alex was talking about her, glared in his direction. She then picked the drumbstick up in her mouth and carried it back to the closet with her. Alex was not sorry to see her go.

"Anyways, I wouldn't worry about it too much. As long as it's still an egg then you don't have anything to look after." He shrugged,

"I am fine," he assured the zomboil. He was not quite full, but he was getting there, and he was just starting on his next-to-the-last piece. "Thank you for the offer." He would have offered up his own, but the zomboil had already expressed distaste for it in its cooked state.

"Indeed, Ulmuka was the strix that you met. He is very...unique." That was certainly one way to describe the boil, but he was of the good sort. And at least he was as lost with this whole technology nonsense as Yin was. Ulmuka could even rival Alexander when it came to smiles.

Leaving a pet all on its own seemed rather cruel to Yin and feeling slightly abashed he nodded. "Yes I shall do that when I return to my room." Though really, if it acted like Alexander's did Princess Eva would soon correct that. He highly doubted he would need to put up with such an attitude.

"I hope that by coming here this evening I did not ruin any plans that you might have had," he said as he shifted slightly, burrowing into the blanket that was beginning to warm slightly and his knee unintentionally rubbing against the inside of Alexander's own as he got situated.

Alex crunched his last piece of food happily, not at all surprised Yin had refused it. He tossed the empty box on the floor, his minipets creeping back out of hiding now that the coast was clear to inspect the box and see if there were any crumbs left in it for consumption. Fei jumped from the bed down to the floor, and bounded over to where the two boils were sitting, jumping up to sit on the arm of Yin's chair, purring loudly in an attempt to attract attention from the weremantis.

Alex frowned a little at Yin, though still graced him with a half smile, "What plans could I have had that you might have ruined? I wouldn't have asked you over if I'd made plans to do something else already." When Yin shifted in his seat, Alex leaned forward a bit, elbows propped on the top of his legs and hands clasped. He studied the other boil with pale gray eyes, wondering if he could detect a hint of blue in the other boils lips, if he was getting too cold to stay in the room much longer.

"You know...we could still go to the hot springs if you want.." He said, a little nonchalantly. "I could even try out the not so hot springs to see what they are like." He was making the suggestion as an out for Yin, whom Alex felt bad about inviting over now. Alex could handle warmth, could survive in it, Yin could not do the same in the cold. Maybe if he got a small space heater for his room....

Oh wait, right. He didn't have any money.

Do not cringe at the box. Do not cringe at the box. Fei was a welcome distraction and he ripped off a bite of food for the vaisel, smiling a bit as he took it from his fingers. He gave him a quick scratch behind the ears before grudgingly leaning down and placing the bone next to one of the zombiejoxs, unsure if it would chew on the bone or not.

"I am not certain what would you, but I know that you enjoy your study and reading time. Alexander was staring at him closely, and under such scrutiny Yin found it nigh on impossible to finish eating with him staring like that so he left the last piece in the container.

"The hot springs?" Yin perked up a bit at that idea. "That could be fun, if you think that you could handle one of hte other springs that is. I would not wish for you to be uncomfortable." Then another thought occurred to him. "But do you need to call your mother before then? Or is she not expecting your call until later?"

Alexander grinned, absolutely oblivious to the fact that Yin was having trouble watching him throw trash on the floor, or to the fact that Yin was also uncomfortable having Alex stare at him. He leaned back in his chair a little, clasping the plastic arms in his hands then bracing himself to push himself upwards, holding out a hand for Yin so that he could pull him up as well.

"Hot springs it is, then. And no, I...we can call my mom afterwards. They're probably all just eating dinner right now anyways." He reasoned, waiting for Yin. Though from where Alex was standing, with his legs nearly touching Yin's chair, pulling Yin up was going to mean that they were going to be standing very close together.

Very close.

Was that all just a part of a devious zombie plan?

Possibly.....
PostPosted: Sun Mar 18, 2012 1:16 pm

"Well you certainly would not wish to interrupt, so I suppose that the hot springs now is a good idea." Alexander seemed to be rather adamant about them both calling his mother, and Yin supposed that there course be worse fates.

He could certainly get up on his own, but Alexander was right there and seemed to be waiting on him. He placed his hand in the zomboil's using him to haul himself up. Halfway up he realized there was no where to go, and instinctually he brought his free hand up to Alexander's chest to steady himself. The only way back was by sitting in the chair, so really he was trapped unless he shoved the zomboil away.

Alex was easily able to withstand the weight of helping haul Yin out of the chair, though he tried not to squeeze the other boils hand lest he end up breaking his fingers in his death grip on accident. He reached out his other hand, placing it behind Yin's shoulder to steady him in case he fell back down in the chair, since yes, there was really no where to go except to be pressed up against the zomboils body.

Hrm, however did that happen?

Alex smiled softly down at the other boil, then shifted one foot back to kick/slide the chair that was behind him away moving one step back to give the other boil some space while moving the hand that was behind Yin's shoulder back down to his side. He didn't let go of the boils other hand though as he pulled him gently along while backing up towards the door, all the while smiling, never not smiling. He reached out to grab his eyephone off of his computer desk as he backed by, depositing it in one pocket. When they reached the door, Alex waited, knowing that Yin would want to open it, for whatever weird reason, then pulled the other boil out into the empty hallway.

As long as there was nobody around, he would want to keep holding on to Yin's hand, but if anybody appeared he would let go without a problem. If Yin didn't want to hold hands, well then, Alex wasn't going to stop him from letting go either. As they went back upstairs to the main level, the air got noticeably warmer, though was still chilled. Outside was better, at least, and They made there way around the dorm towards the forest out back and the trail that led to the hot springs.

Alexander steadied him as well, and Yin could not help but slightly ridiculous as he glanced up, not really surprised to see him smiling though it was a different expression than usual. He backed up a bit but whatever the odd mood was was not broken as Alexander stayed facing him as he pulled him to the door. There was a strange moment when Alexander paused, and Yin was a bit confused before he brushed past him, fingers still twined in his, and opened the door. He closed it back behind them as they began up the stairs.

They made it all the way outside before Yin saw movement out of the corner of his eye and removed his hand from the zomboil's. They made their way behind the dorm and he slipped his hand back into Alexander's as they finished making their way to the hot springs. The longer he was in marginally warm air the more energetic he felt, and he could not help smiling a bit himself, blissfully ignorant of how devious his bonded was. "Perhaps we should try the not-so-hot springs first, after we clean up somewhat. Then we shall know if you like them or not?"

It was not a surprise that Yin pulled his hand away when another undead student came into sight, though it was with some small amount of disappointment. They made their way around the dorms, and Alex was just about to push his hands into this pockets with the warm surprise of Yin's fingers twined between his own once more. It was nice, and it felt less and less awkward each time they had small moments like this. Well, at least that's how it felt for Alex, though his heart still seemed to lift with each small touch, each fleeting form of contact. He might want more someday, but for now, this was just enough.

"Uh, ya, sure." He agreed, though he had come here more for Yin and less for himself. Though if he didn't do it, then Yin would probably get suspicious and not want to come again, so really, what choice did Alex have?

As they made their way into the darkness of the caves, Alex glanced around, remembering the last time he had been here with it's giant molerats and incredibly bad smell (which really hadn't bothered him much). It was much cleaner now, courtesy of the trashbots that had been in to help put the area back to sorts.

When they entered the cavern with the steaming air of the hot springs themselves, Alex had a glance around. It appeared to be vacant at the moment, which meant that if Roch and Mitzi had come they had already gone again already. That suited Alex just fine, who really just wanted to spend some time alone with his boilfriend, without having to worry about being seen committing public displays of affection.

"They have something to change into here? To go into the springs with?" Alex had never actually gone swimming or soaking in an outdoor pool or lake unless it was with all of his clothes on, so the concept of swimming shorts was completely lost on him.

For the most part Yin was completely comfortable holding hands with Alexander (provided there was no one else around). It did not bother him too much, and he was actually starting to get used to the colder hand in his. Alexander more often than Yin initiated such contact, but when Yin did he never seemed to refuse, and he normally seemed fairly happy. That was enough.

The humid warmth as they entered the cavern felt wondering, and Yin was ready to get into the water. Just as soon as they cleaned up. It was hard not to just drag the zomboil with him, as now that he had entered the caves it was hard to resist their allure. His eyes were shining like a child's on Halloween as he looked about.

"I am unsure, the gnomes seemed to have something to change into last time. Perhaps we can look around?" He let go of the zomboil's hand as they entered the changing room and began to look around. There, in a piled heap with a crooked sign at about the height that a disgrunted gnome could reach, was a sign that said "use these."

Not that Yin actually read the sign. They seemed to be the type that cinched up to fit the individual so he snagged a pair (green of course), and plucked up a pair of trunks for Alexander as well, just going for something that he might approve of color wise. "I believe that we should use these," he commented, and began to make his way to the showers, peeling off his clothing as he went.

The humid warmth in the air was terrible. It left Alex's hair damp yet somehow frizzy, and his clothes began to stick to his skin almost immediately. He'd only too gladly go and take a quick shower just so he could get out of this horrible steamy death trap.

He followed Yin, or rather, got pulled along by the other boil towards the change room, and had a glance around, eye's landing on the pile of shorts just after Yin spotted them. He let go of the other boils hand readily enough. It seemed Yin was going to pick out what he was wearing, and that was fine as well. He actually eyed the design and color scheme in approval, and idly wondered if he might be able to find a tie to match at some point.

He glanced up from the trunks he was holding to look for Yin, who was apparently already on his way to the showers. And...well, ya, he was pretty much naked. That was rather fast. Alex only got the view from behind however, and may have been staring open mouthed a little longer then necessary before remembering what he was supposed to be doing. He found an area to change, out of sight, and stripped off his clothes, carefully winding his tie up into a tightly wound circle but dumping the rest of his clothes on the floor without thought. He then slipped into the trunks, pulling the drawstrings tight. They were a bit baggy on him, regardless of the pull strings. They slid down to rest on his pronounced and rather bony hips. Not too bothered by it, he found a ledge to stick his clothes on until his return, then shambled out of the changing area towards the shower.

As before, he went in and out of the shower as quickly as he could manage. It started out cold but the water liked to warm up the longer it remained on so it was in his best interest to hurry. Once his hair was soaked down, he reached up to rub the water out of his eyes and push the sodden mass of white to one side so he could see, before shuffling out of the shower area and looking for Yin.
PostPosted: Mon Mar 19, 2012 12:41 am

Yin had enjoyed his shower, and had not required a cold one, as nudity around other boils was really not that odd to him. He was out of the shower before the zomboil, clad in his green shorts and carefully folding his other clothing to put it to the side for his return. When Alexander came out of his shower Yin could not help his gaze from dipping down slightly. Honestly, he was shocked at how skinny the undead boil was given with how much he could eat, and this just reminded him of that fact. Perhaps it was a zombie trait, though Alexander's father had been rather large. Maybe he needed to get him to try some sit--ups.

"Those shorts do suit you," he commented as he turned to walk next to him out of the cavern and to the main one. He began to glance around, trying to remember where the not-so-hot caves were at. "I believe that we need to go to that end to find what we are looking for. I am not entirely certain of what to expect but we can try it?" Alexander really needed to learn how enjoyable a trip to the hot springs could be, though Yin had no idea he how much he would loathe the cavern they were headed to. Not-so-hot indeed.

Yin could stare or slide his glance down Alex's shirtless body all he wanted. The zomboil wasn't like to notice, since he was far too distracted by the hot (temperature wise, of course) shirtless and muscled body of the weremantis in front of him. Eventually, he looked away in embarrassment, not exactly used to having these types of strange feelings in his stomach when looking at another boil. The back of his neck was beginning to feel warm but he told himself that was just due to the humidity in the air.

"Thanks." he replied, still not looking directly at Yin. "I think I remember where they are." He finished, and began to move off in the direction of the entrance to where the not-so-hot springs were located. At one point his skeletal foot landed in a wet patch of rock, and he slid forward on the bone heel. He managed to straighten back out without falling, surprisingly enough, and continued onwards, feeling slightly more embarrassed then before now. He really just wanted to keep Yin company while he soaked in one of the springs, not actually soak in one himself!

Eventually they reached the cavern entrance, and Alex made his way inside.

Only to find the temperature of the air drop dramatically. There were pools of water, but they most definitely weren't steaming, and there were pools filled with ice as well. He raised his eyebrows at that, thinking it was a touch overkill, but imagining there were some creatures who might enjoy it.

"Uhhhh...why don't you just go ahead back to the hot springs. I'll test out the water here and come and see you when I'm finished?" he said, always mindful of how the cold might affect his poor weremantis.
