Now if only Mort's owner could remember to roll the right dice for once.

"Guess so . . . ?" Mort's cycorgi had been winded by the charge, but after a shake of its muzzle it galloped right back into the fray to heabutt its opponent with glee. "Come think of, has no name yet. Prolly should?"
He just didn't want to get to attached to the thing, since it was strictly homework. And a stupid creature . . . with some charm. Kinda like him he supposed.
"Speaking've homework, h-how think Sex Ed'sll turn out?"

Alex's own cycorgi yelped a little in surprise when Mort's came leaping back towards him, head butting him in the side and forcing him to the ground. He rolled over onto his back, showing submissive behavior. Alex just rolled his eyes, and growled out a command.
"Get back at it!" the cycorgi's glance almost heartbreaking as his ears drooped and his tail stopped wagging. He flipped back over onto his feet, and then, as though forgetting his new woes within seconds, pounced on the other one once again, grabbing a hold of mouthful of the fur on the scruff of the other pups neck and shaking it playfully.
Alex just shrugged. "I don't really have names for any of my pets, so I'm not that bothered." He admitted, and then thought about the next thing Mort said for about two seconds before answering.
"I' m fairly certain that I'm not going to do well with that one." Mostly because he was just too lazy, or rather, not very well time organized, to put a charm on the lammit twice a day was required.

Mort's pet looked hurt and whined as its scruff was tugged at painfully, yipping and trying to pull away, which . . . only made it worse, but it was thinking about escape, not tactics! Mort existed the urge to face palm and attempted to jumpstart its basic killer instincts - even little mini pets like cycorgies had those, right? "Go at it!" he commanded, which caused the dog to whimper and half-heartedly paw at its opponent. It didn't like this game anymore . . .
"Still, is easy 'nuff t'least. No writing r' researching. Might have more m-minies than need, but is not hard. Think Mama would throw fit if saw battle, though," he added as an afterthought. Come to think of it . . . "N-Never did ask, but, er . . . Was born here? Or brought here?"

Alex's cycorgi let go of the scruff, wagging his tail, butt high in the air as he leaned forward on his stubby legs, head almost touching the ground. He let out two loud, high pitched barks, as the other cycorgi pawed at him, then lunged forward to chew on the other cycorgi's face a little.
Playfully, of course.
Too many pets? Alex definitely had too many pets. "I have...11 pets now? Including this silly thing and that stupid lammit. They don't seem to mind that they don't have any names...well, there is Fei, but Yin named him so he doesn't count." Alex said, the cycorgi battle happening in front of him interesting, but not nearly as exciting as the one he had had in the minipet battling class. That one had been more brutal, this one was more...well, silly really.
"Hrm?" He raised his attention back to Mort, blinking his pale eyes slowly "Oh, uh, born and raised in Halloween. Most of my family was. Few adopted strays but for the most part, all born here." He shrugged, not really thinking it made that big of a difference, except well, he had memories of a childhood, and was able to grow when he felt like growing. "You?" he asked, though he thought maybe they'd talked about this once before...

Maybe they had talked about it, maybe they hadn't. Mort was very bad with memory after all, and with the pressure mounting from the impending trials it was a stepping stone for him to not even looked terribly stressed about it. "Brought. Reminds, should get taller after trials . . ." He was eyeing the top of Alex's head as he said this, wondering if that was a good height to aim for, or maybe something use a bit shorter or taller. Did ghouls like tall or average men? Or were their tastes so varied he wouldn't be able to keep up. "Mrr . . . Reminds, does owe vis -"

There went Mort's cycorgi who, after the not-at-all-playful-in-its-eyes face chewing, had weakly nipped at the other's ear before turning tail and trying to find a safe corner to lick its wounds. The zomboil huffed a sigh, pushing his glasses up.
"Well, guess know who victor is. Next time should t-try Brian, is more vicious methinks . . ." The battle would've been, well, a battle had he done so, but Alex's pet didn't look like it would be up to another challenge for now. He tapped his chin. "What was saying, mrrrrr - Oh! Do not have zombie relatives, was hoping c-could ask visit yours one day. Maybe help teach hunt? Also, ah . . . did owe visit with sisters."
No, Alex, he was not going to let that go. |3
