"Well if they know something I'm sure that would be able to point you in a descent direction at least. A few are out on duty right now. My cousin Kai i believe and my Great Uncle Hellfyre. Even my grandfather Ion is out right now. We try to keep at least two at a time out scouting as they cover more ground. Some days of course there are breaks so everyone can be together. Especially aroung the time of the flowers. We could go check with Tide to see if he spotted anything on his last patrol. He is another Great Uncle. " Alkion said. "At the very least you can have a good nights sleep tonight and then plan your adventure on the morrow."

She smiled up at him again. He was just so sweet! No one else had been nearly as helpful on her search so far. She said, "Thank you very much for your help.. that sounds like a good plan to start with..." She thought about something for a minute, then gave him a curious look. "A-am I interrupting you? Are you scouting as well for your herd?" She tilted her head and said thoughtfully, "I thought you had mentioned earlier that we were on the border of your herd's lands... " She looked down shyly again. "I wouldn't want to keep you from your duty or anything... I would really like to meet your family though. And see your lands.. they do sound interesting." The more she spoke with him, the more she wanted to get to know him better!

" I was out here more for the casual joy of it. If I happened to see something worth talling everyone else about then I would simple as that. Specially with the others already out scouting around, this was more for a nice sip and a bath then anything. So you would not be interrupting me at all." He said. He thought even if she were he would try to help her, no matter who he was scouting for, unless you know an army of six just happened to walk by but that was unlikely with the war not yet at a head.

She breathed a sigh of relief. At least she wasn't keeping him from his duties! Her stomach grumbled and she realized belatedly that she hadn't eaten in a while. Hoping he didn't hear her noisy belly, she blushed and smiled wryly. "So.. now that I know I'm not interrupting you.. and we've both had a bath and a drink.. I don't suppose you'd know of a good spot to find something to eat?" She looked at him hopefully, praying that he wouldn't think she was being rude or anything..

"Oh! Yes of course you must be starving. Well we have more than enough grazing here. I'll show you the best spots and you can pick which one you would like." Alkion headed off in the direction of the most choice grazing. "We might even have a bit of grain imported in now. Our leader's chosen sends some occasionally for a treat and nutritional purposes. It the stuff mixed with molasses so its nice and sweet." They passed a few other azrein as they went. "That orange thing over there is my cousin Kai and the black and white off far over there is my Great Uncle Tide." Both were too far off to talk too but Kai nodded at her politely from where he stood.

She smiled and followed him away from the stream. She nodded and concentrated on making her belly be quieter. It just wouldn't stop rumbling! She looked with great interest at the other azrien they passed, and smiled and nodded at Kai in return.
She turned to Alkion. "You really do have quite the family, don't you?" she said with a chuckle and a smile. As they trotted along, she unknowingly got closer to him until she felt her shoulder brush against him lightly. The sudden contact, although slight, sent electricity through her body. She blushed, hoping he didn't notice, and wondered at the emotions going through her. As if in response, her belly chose to grumble noisily at that moment, and she blushed even harder in embarassment

"Oh yes, it's rather large and nosy actually. But a good group..most days." He laughed. "The odd morning there are more fireworks then not."
She brushed against him and he was a bit stunned. Had she meant to do that? Did she really like him? Why so many questions? He shook his head and trotted on. Wow her stomach was sure grumbling. He wondered when she had eaten last. He speeded up in order to get her to food a little quicker.
"Here Irri, here is the best place to eat. Enjoy." He smiled and slowed down. A lush patch of thick grass and clover blanketed the ground. " I'm starved." He said and started to munch the grass.
A few curious faces passed them but mostly left them alone.

As they arrived at a thick patch of sweet grass and delicious looking clover, she could feel her mouth watering with anticipation. It looked so yummy! She smiled in delight and sighed softly with happiness. "Oh! This is perfect! Thank you so much!"
She lowered her head to the grass and breathed in the tantalizing aromas. She ate with relish, taking small bites, and made sure to chew well. She made sure to eat slowly, so as not to upset her stomach.. it had been a while since her last meal after all.
While she ate in companionable silence next to Alkion, she kept sneaking glances over at him. She admired his lean, strong frame, the beautiful patterns in his coat, and his silky mane. She wondered where he had gotten the braids and feathers, and thought they were rather dashing.

Alkion ate quietly. He noticed how delicate Irri was even though she must have been starving. It was a bit admirable but unnessesary she could have stuffed her face and he would have understood. Her delicate muzzle skimmed the ground it lead to a pretty face covered in swirls. Even her neck was fine and well toned. Even though she had been on the road for so long she still held her youthful fitness. That meant she was powerful and healthy.
He wondered if he would ever get to see her when she was not held back or worried about what others would think. To see if there was someone else beneath the quiet exterior and not someone stressed from trying to find a loved one. He did hope she found who she was looking for. He hoped he could help too.

She nibbled delicately at some clover blossoms to finish her meal. She enjoyed the sweet purple flowers, and continued to peek at Alkion. She raised her head and stretched when she was finished and smiled gratefully at him. Now that she was full, and in safe surroundings, she was beginning to relax a little bit.
She looked around at the slowly darkening sky and waited for him to finish as well.

Alkion puffed out a sigh. He was full too. "Here I'll show you the tree." He led her over to the great pine and found a nice soft, unoccupied place for them to rest and chat in. "So what other adventures have you had?" She was the most exciting thing to happen in this place since Zaira had come for a visit as one of Schuy's friends.
